Even our entire registered member list is about 1/20 of the GT6 sales numbers.

In relation to this: some interesting comments under the Eurogamer AC review - basically that the small community of sim racers has made the genre super dry and boring this gen. They, and only they (in part us) are being pandered to, and that is a mistake... So perhaps being only 1/20th means much more when you're the only ones being listened to.

(sorry for off-topic, but it still kinda relates to how they're going about GTS, with this one being more 'serious' and 'real-world' than previous titles)

Totally agree with that. My favourite genre is the "simarcade" and, as a PS4 owner, i did not play a single game like that in 3 years.

Those are the racing games I actually played on PS4

- DriveClub: Surely my favourite one, i played it a lot but it is definetly arcade.
- The Crew: Open World, totally arcade
- NFS Rivals: Read above
- NFS 2015: Read above
- Project Cars: Unplayable with a pad. It is too simulative, everything unlocked from the start. Useless career mode.
- Assetto Corsa: It is too simulative, everything unlocked from the start. Useless career mode.
- Dirt Rally: Very good game, a little too simulative for my taste. Everything unlocked from the start. Useless career mode.

What I should do? I'm really considering to buy an Xone at least to have Forzas. But I can't keep two consoles.

This is by far the worst generation for racing games.

Got a halfway decent PC? If not, I'd maybe look into investing $500 into a gaming rig than another console. Forza will be coming out on PC from now on, and you (generally) get better versions of all the multiplatform games.

It's actually one of the best, it's just a terrible time to have a Playstation for racing games. X1 has been the clear winner with two Forza Motorsports and two Horizons, but now that they're spreading to PC I think that will become the platform of choice for many racing enthusiasts.

So you have a PC, Xbox 1 and a PS4?

No-one like a show-off bro! Try and remember that when you speak to people who only have 1 of these...

Just in the topic of the GoPro camera thing. Here are more possible views of camera placement. If this is what would be a feature for replays or online spectating.

This threads needs a "do-over". We were so close and "Lucy" moved the "football" away. Dagnabbit.

I'm sure it'll quieten down again soon, it was pretty dead in the days before the delay, we resorted to discussing the box art and other mundane things. With the game delayed, we're soon going to have nothing to talk about once the delay itself is out of the system.

I wonder how much information we'll actually get. The way I figure it, if the game was close to finished they'd do a GT6, because there'd be no point missing the holiday sales just to then release in January or February. So it's probably Q2 at the very earliest (and not some sort of magical Japanese Q2 that means January 5th).

That puts it 6-9 months away, and if we look at the sort of information that PD was giving out 6-9 months before the November release date it wasn't much. I suspect that we may be back to the old drawing board of not knowing much of anything short of the vague overall details of the project.

Plus the Playstation meeting!

Oh yes we do. In time. TGS'16

The game just got delayed, I really can't see how or why they would be showing off anything new or interesting so soon after. I mean if they turn up with a gameplay trailer showing off fully polished new tracks, new cars, rain, weather etc then why the delay? It was delayed because they're behind on the schedule and going by what they've kept showing the past few months I'm doubtful they're suddenly going to have significant new stuff ready to show off in one or two weeks time.

True, but they saif they would keep showing us stuff. So I really expect something grand, even with the news of the delay.

They said they would continue to exhibit the game and at some point will have new experiences for people to try, they didn't say they'd have new stuff to show only a fortnight later. I mean I could be wrong but you're setting yourself up for disappointment IMO. You don't go from delay announcement to "check out all this new stuff" in two weeks.

Yeah, just like I said expecting new content, features, demos, betas etc is just gonna lead to more dissapointment, I mean they couldn't deliver the original content on time so why expect more?

PS Blog says GTS will be on stage, not just exhibited title, so PD will show something anyway. Even if it will be the same presentation, we will see number of tracks (15 or 19?).

But wouldn't it also make sense to appease those most wanting to play the game by releasing some new stuff as a placatory gesture?

"Sorry about the delay. Hey look at this!"

Not really, that's just saying "Look at what you were going to have in November, but now you can't even though it looks finished". I still think if they had more finished stuff to show they would have done so in the last 6 weeks or so, not just the same core demo as from May with the same tracks and handful of new cars.

What I don't understand is why GTSport trailers look so sad? I know it's honest from Poly but a trailer with aliasing, glitchy shadows and half-finished tracks... We went from crazy trailers in GT5 (big big bullshots^^) to this. I don't see why they keep showing GTSport given pre-orders are closed !

And a very sad montage. The one at the event in may was the best one but I miss the good old adrenalinic rocking trailers

I didn't say new stuff either man :) I just said stuff.
