Now, i know that the races in Europe are avaible for 15th april, but not the arcade mode too.

They disabled arcade mode. Stress testing online is the priority now.

GT Sport received a new update and Arcade mode has been closed.
They want ti test the servers in Sport mode with more people. Sport mode will be available at Saturday when the second Phase begins

I still don't see any night racing or weather, has that been ditched, I wonder, or is it still in development. Also, can anyone who's playing the Beta say if all cars are unlocked from the start on Arcade?
Right now, arcade mode in the current version is no longer active, but when it was, you drive the cars you have in your garage, hoping you get a random car a day through the "Daily Workout" system, in which you can take advantage of that through your system's time zone to get more than one car a day.

EDK
We don't know yet, and I don't think we WILL know until this weekend when the first EU races go on the schedule. I hope both, but my guess is separate. And that would be a shame, PD should pay attention to how many folks race together across regions here.
Thanks for your thoughts.

As for Sport mode being global, to me it is but it isn't.
It my understanding that the big races will be held in person, with players around the world flown to a venue for the live events, as opposed to online racing.
How deep into the championships it is before this happens I don't know.
But I'm assuming the US, EU, and Asian players will face off online in their own PSN region to determine who gets the plane tickets.

Saying that, you can switch regions in online lobbies in GT6.
And a GT6 Seasonal time trial Leaderboard is also displayed as global.

So where that leaves Sports Mode I don't know.
And as someone who has never participated in a beta before, I've no clue whether servers would be region locked or not.

I would love it if this was the case because I won't be able to play during the race times listed for the EU. It's far too early in the morning for me.

Yep.
That's exactly what prompted my question.
It would be far easier for us Aussies to compete using the US time schedule.

So in that respect, so far as PD are concerned, we line up more with the Asia/Japan times.
But this then raises the region lock question again.

As you can tell I've thought myself into a whirlwind of confusion.
And I really don't know how it will play out.
I still think we'll get a run at the beta, but when and how I'm completely lost. :irked:

On a more positive note, perhaps this weekends events will shed some light and offer some ammo for more speculation. :)

Question
Maybe BETA codes are given country?
For example yesterday Austria and Australia got codes.
Today German and France and tomorrow some other countries?
I think that's why some people don't get their codes the same day like others do.
For me, it's a bit obvious giving BETA codes in 3-4 countries per day.

Bwoah (cit. Kimi). I Think that Australia's a nation of Europe for Polyphony; they say that Cambodia is in Europe, why not the Australia?

To my knowledge Australia and New Zealand have always been part of the EU PSN region.
Even the point of call for Aus/NZ official forum is now EU.

It's probably down to language, so EU is a better fit than Asia.
Even though the time zone is better suited to Asia.

But many EU countries got codes today.
Not just 3 or 4.
And my guess for this is related to local time and participation in those countries, as it's been stated that server stress testing is the primary purpose at this time for the EU beta.
Aus/NZ can't help in this respect.

Italy too.

hello guys, do you have any idea about GT sport release date? Also, many months ago I saw on the net direct drive wheel by thrustmaster, now no news anymore, any rumors about it?

Anyone experiencing high input lag when driving with controller? I don't understand why no one ever mentioned this

I've only been using the controller since and no I haven't experienced any input lag.

Oh and sorry for the late upload, but here's a new, short video I just posted up. This one I do a "burnout", a donut and go into the pit lane lol, and I've included the "showroom" bit that's featured in the menu screen. The problem I have with doing burnouts in this game is that the car doesn't stay still, it just glides forward even though the front wheels are locked and not enough smoke. The Corvette GT3, I think is by far one of the best looking cars in this beta and it looks pretty darn stunning going around this track. Usually, the early morning with the headlights on and everything make the cars look better, but this is pretty amazing. Anyways, enjoy!

Its the same in assetto corsa, always thought thats some small physics flaw in GT games (was the same in GT6) but after testing it in assetto i guess its something thats not easy to get right in the physics simulation.

Second Phase of the BETA can't last 5 months.
So this is not true about a hint/release date.
If you know what I mean..
It's just the max or something like that, that the code can last
I might be wrong but that's what I'm thinking

Just had a random thought today and not sure which thread it would be best to post in.

My thought is related to GT6, what if GT6 had everything that it has today or when most of us became tired of playing and moved on. Would it be one of the best GT versions? Might kind of relate to GT Sport in that they should not promise or indicate that something will be in the game and then later it is not included or has a major delay.

I cannot here the chasis make noise anymore did they take it away?
I could hear it in my brand new Gr.4 GT-R last night, but it was more muted at Nurb than I recall hearing in the Gr.3 car.

Did not have time to set a Willow lap, but with that track being much smoother, I am guessing the cars might not make as much noise.

Still, it could be they balanced out the sound effects, I found the chassis noise to be a bit dominant before.

Is anyone on NYIAS? There is probably new build with probably new tracks and probably Porsche.
I haven't seen any news indicating GT Sport is being displayed at NYIAS. Maybe I missed that?

It is supposed to be showing in VR at Insomnia i60 today and this weekend though, so fingers crossed.
