Probably. Luckily you can circumnavigate that issue with no trouble.
It did pretty well at the World Finals (with their BOP) so maybe a good choice anyway over the older version.
Not for me though - Citroen is calling, though I'm not sure this exhibition will include a manufacturers event.

I usually always get my PS Plus in the Amazon Black Friday. Completely forgot about it this year. Full price it is! 😫
I'm not sure if you can get the offer, but the PS Store were offering discounts on all 3 tiers for those not currently subbed (up until the 20th I think) - I reupped the Essential for £25.

Yeah, I liked driving it in the world final event. However I believe it's slower in a straight line, so depends on the events I guess.
The exhibition season will be for both Nations and Manu as normal.

part of the fun is deciding with what manufacturer to drive. I think Nissan will be the winners choise at this moment. Lot's of different cars available and pretty often a dominant choise in the dailys. Also Subaru off course will be popular. Fear that in Gr4 the choise would have to be a four wheel drive one anyway if one wants to have a chance of a good result.
So expect a lot of Alfa's too....

For me i am not going the four wheel drive road, which is propably not very smart, but anyway...
Will go with either Ford or Mercedes, and at this moment Ford definitely has the upper hand for me. Really like how the drive in both GR3 and Gr4. GR3 Merc is also fine, but the Gr4 one just feels a bit to slow.

Already designed liveries for both, the Ford ones have the advantage that i can switch colour easily.

Curious to see what the others here will choose...

I’ve been with Aston Martin for the last few seasons in GT7/GTS. I will be changing it up for this season. Currently tossing up between Porsche (I love the RSR), Jag (My favourite FR option) and Subaru (My daily drive and very competitive).

I drove Mitsubishi on the Alt last season, I might pivot to something a bit different there and run either Nissan, Mazda or Ferrari.

Any help in choosing gratefully accepted.

I'm probably going with Ford that's who I'm currently with ,

Ferrari is an interesting shout, the Gr 4 has always been very reliable in GT7 but now seems to be able to compete speed wise as well, haven't had the Gr 3 for a while but I remember it being skittish under throttle and not particularly quick to compensate so could be a risk if nothing much has changed there.

Don't think I've used Nissan before in these things and I do like the GTR so I'm leaning that way myself.

Accepting that I have little chance of actually winning a round, I'm probably going to go for one of the lesser-used makes. If I do take it seriously it would likely be Porsche.

Finding the Gr.3 Citroen incredibly slidey, it will probably shred the tyres in any longer race, so they might be out. I like the Renaults so that's an option, ditto the Suzukis.

Of course if they don't fix the Gr4 BoP I may just skip those rounds altogether and just sign up with BMW to use my favourite Z4.

Gran Turismo 7 Online Exhibition Series Returns December 28

After a break of nearly two months, ranked online competition will return to Gran Turismo 7 on December 28 with the 2022-23 Online Exhibition Series...
I didn't notice until I looked at the calendar - starting on the 28th means a switch from the Friday/Saturday schedule to some midweek racing. I remember this was on some people's wishlist, who had to miss rounds in the last championship. Does make it a bit harder for me - I'll likely miss the first couple of slots so have to hope for no connection issues in the late ones.

only 3 rounds :( (2 gr3, 1 gr4)

oh dear god, the Nations - rallycross round 2 is a bit meh but round 3 - 24 laps of the X2019 round Road Atlanta !!!

You have got to be joking PD??? What is this?? Was looking forward to getting back into this game and having a proper 8-10 race exhibition season. Had been testing which cars to pick the last couple of days.

3 races…Deep Forest reverse, Road America and Autopolis…:yuck:

Such a shame. Disappointing is an understatement. I won’t be coming back for these. Good luck to those that enter!

Agreed I'm super bummed out by the schedule. Wow. I know a few will be excited for the Road Atlanta race, good luck to them, that car is just way too much for the track and I won't find that much fun for 20+ laps.

Oh well I picked up a handful of games on sale as a christmas treat so at least I won't feel like I'm missing anything on GT.

so first about two months without a competition and now an exhibition series consisting of 3 rounds? It is almost if they want me to stop playing this game. Lately i experienced what i never had with GTS; that i couln't be bothered to start up the console and play the game.

I might consider doing Road America but can not take a 3 round competition seriously....

it is getting harder and harder to like GT7.....

I got this game mostly for the World Series, can not be bothered with the Daily wreckfest or the races starting in last and shoving AI driven cars aside. the World Series is were the real competition should be....
The World series should be the pinnacle of the game, sadly it seems to be very much neglected by PD...

Previous test seasons had only 3-4 rounds, so I'll treat this like those, maybe try something new in the Manufacturers and then hope a proper Season 3 is coming quite soon after.

10 slots per race is new. Only your best score counts for the standings from the 3 rounds.

Wow. This format is horrible.

10 slots will mean almost no points by the later ones (In Asia maybe not even full grids), and only your best round of the 3 will count at the end.

On the plus side, I’m overseas for two weeks in Mid-January so at least I’m not missing any rounds.

I wish there were more timeslots available. I work 12 hour shifts with rotating off days and with this current setup, many of the timeslots are either while I'm getting ready for work or while i'm at work.

Gran Turismo 7 Online Exhibition Series 2022/23 Schedule Announced

The full schedule for the 2022/23 Exhibition Series of the Gran Turismo 7 Online Championship has been announced, with a handful of changes as the series previews the upcoming esports event...
This article is confusing. The Gran Turismo website has it in pacific time and it goes from 8am-7pm pacific. This article has times all the way past midnight. So which one is it?

edit

Never mind. I figured it out.
