Quick question about the Manu Ch. If you pick a manufacturer and you already own the gp 3 and 4 cars in your garage, can you use your own car rather than the one provided for you? Only asking this as, if I have this right, you have to equip the cars provided to you with all the variations in tyres. If I already have the car plus tyre selection why use the provided one?
Seems a waste of credits at the end of each season when the car goes back?
You can use any gr 3 and gr 4 car of the chosen manufacurer you have in your garage.

Edit: like on track Zorz was faster then me.....

Manufacturers is Suzuka Gr.3
Nations has a qualifying at Grand Valley in the Ferrari VGT, a qualifying race at a mystery combination, and then the race is Maggiore in the X2019.
Interestingly, the Manufacturers final race has Hard and Medium tires both as required, but not Soft. It also states that dynamic weather will be on. Will the teams have to figure out how to fit 2 mandatory dry tires around rain? That could get "interesting"... It also, interestingly, has "Custom" slipstream (surely not the nonexistent slipstream used in qualifying sessions?) and unannounced multipliers.
The Nations finals has S/M/H mandatory as normal with conditions specified as "Fine". Although it also has the Custom slipstream. Maybe they're testing some changes to dirty air or something?

Reading that competitor list, or more specifically all the 2000-and-later birth dates on it, has suddenly made me feel quite old!

Having an updated Gr.3 roster is a commond demand of many (and for their part, PD is doing it slowly but surely, starting from Ford GT GTE and R8 LMS Evo at launch, followed by BRZ GT300, GT-R GT3 '18, and most recently the AMG GT3 Evo). For reference, here's the statistics of the model years of each of the qualified manufacturers, ordered from the latest:

'22 Genesis X GR3
'21 Subaru BRZ GT300
'20 Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo
'20 Mazda RX-Vision GT3 Concept
'18 Toyota GR Supra Racing Concept

McLaren and Lamborghini ties for running the oldest equipment on the grid; if Ferrari had qualified, the two would not have hold that record on race day. (And Nissan actually held on their 2013 equipment in the entirety of their GT Sport life, plus last year's Showdown and tape-delay races!)

Additionally, there's six-real life GT3 cars on the grid (including the R.S.01, which is in real life restricted to races allowing unhomologated cars), joined by a GTE car (991 RSR), JAF GT300 car (BRZ), two manufacturer-designed design studies designed to cater to existing regulations (GR Supra RC and RX-Vision GT3 Concept), and two fantasy Gr.3 cars (Genesis X GR3 and NSX Gr.3).

I wonder if we'll see a complete switch to Alpine somwhere down the line.
I doubt they'd just switch as they're not going to brand the Mégane Trophy or RS01 as Alpines, that'd look silly. It's not impossible a Gr.3/4 Alpine could be added and both compete if Renault the group care enough about the branding though.

I mean, Hyundai/Genesis and Toyota/Lexus already exists...

@Tidgney said in a recent ACC stream, that PD commonly uses the live events to test things out. He stated that in the past its been different physics models, different tire models, and custom BOP's. I 100% assume that they're doing the same here as well.

Ye they've tested all sorts at live events. It's why practicing an obscene amount can be counter intuitive for a GT Live event. We've experienced all sorts of different things there like slipstream changes, tyre changes, physics changes the lot. I think it's why I did better at live events than at home because I didn't practice that much due to IRL, Youtube etc.

I like that. At a real race there's a lot of things you don't have control over, it's nice that it's also some at the live event.
