Actually it seems that there is not a specific manufacturer that seems to be META....9 different brands in the top 10.
(sorry for the poor picture, do not know how to transfer an image from the PS to here....)

(Do note this PD, this is in fact how it should be, not like previous events where the top 50 are all WRX's or GTR's!!!!)
Thanks!! :) Wow there’s even an Audi in there at the moment! Great to see a spread of Manufacturers.

Go to Media Gallery on the console.
Find the image.
Plug a USB flash drive into any available USB port.
Press triangle, then Copy to USB.
Remove USB and plug it into your computer.

Before we get too excited it might pay to remember the tire wear set for Sardegna. I have a feeling the BRZ is gonna be able to outlast everyone on their faster tires. I'll still be out there wrestling my British bulldog around. I like the track too much not to give it a shot

There always got to be one, anytime I got passed him he would ram me...

Well with that trash out the way, the next slot was way better for me. A few drivers were wall riding but I didn't bother with it as staying close to the wall without riding it gave me better momentum.

Had tons of issues with that very same driver in the past. Sorry to see he/she is still around

So no "mandatory" stop but you do need to make a stop to use 2 compounds (PD just do that to see if anyone reads the rules, right?).

Qualify on softs but ignore for the race, a few laps on the mediums and the majority on hards. The Scooby will still be slower on the main straight so should even out. I hope. My DBR9 is usually ok for wear.

I guess this week's update will fill in the details for the mystery round 4 of the Nations.
Would be too much to ask for it to be a MP4/4 race, especially back-to-back with the Super Formulas.

I would've preferred to race the MP4/4 at Spa instead of a repeat of an earlier Toyota GR race with the SF's. I do hope we get to race the McLaren at one of the mystery rounds, and it's not at a track that sucks...

Aside from the SF and Gr.2, PD act like none of the high downforce cars exist (except Gr.1 almost exclusively at Le Mans).

My first guess for what track they'd use for that car would be Interlagos (for obvious reasons)
unless we are getting a Prost chassis instead

at least they are doing Gr.1 at Fuji instead this season (though I will be skipping that round - not my cup of tea)

Definitely not one of my favorite circuits, but I did very well there with the F1500T-A the last time they had it in a GTS Daily, and I'm assuming the new McLaren will drive in a similar way.

I got some wins in that one and had some great battles, will never forget it! If you could wrestle the thing around Interlagos you could skip the gym for a while

I'd had exactly 0 wins and 0 poles at Interlagos before that combo came up, after playing the game almost since it came out. At the end of the week with the F1500T-A, I had nearly 30 wins and poles.

for the coming race I have designed a special livery. I did this once in GTS and thought i would do it again, also because I really like racing at Sardegna B.

I based the livery on my favourite football team, Excelsior Rotterdam, who has just returned to the Dutch Premier League after a bizarre promotion game, where we were 3-0 behind with less then 10 minutes to go in a very, very hostile enviroment. the game ended in 4-4 and we got through on penalties.

The side has won it's first two games this season, so to everyone's surprise we actually scored some points!

I based the livery on the kit and sponsors, and added a few more:

the main sponsor is a local health insurance company (DSW) that gives away it's space on the shirt to charities. In this case the Esther Vergeer foundation; that helps children with disabilities to compete in sports events. Esther Vergeer herself is a very, very successfull wheelchair tennis player that also fought cancer and is the current chef de mission of the Dutch Paralympic team. Awesome women indeed!

For the coming race in Sardegna I will donate one Euro for each position better then last to her foundation. So I hope that I will have to sent them 16 Euro!

Good luck to anyone doing the Super Formula round in the Nations. At this point I'm almost certain to give it a miss; I just can't reliably keep that thing on the track at Pouhon.

That one turn has murdered me so many times now whilst trying to practice, I can't even finish a stint in a race against the AI without binning it! :dunce: It kind of feels like you turn in, roll the dice and pray the back end doesn't decide to go walkies...

I find trying to negotiate Pouhon flat out is incredibly sketchy. Just gently breathing/lifting the throttle on entry makes a world of difference in stability. The top guys are superhuman hitting those low 1:48s, I'm at a low 1:51 and cannot imagine finding another 3 seconds in my lap.

For the upcoming Nations - is the overtake function of the SF19 going to be usable during the race? It doesn't see to be available in the free practice, but it is in custom race.

And, if it is indeed usable - any tips on the best way to take advantage of it?
I seriously doubt I'll overtake anyone in that race, but if I can boost a bit my lap time with it, why not...

You need to get the turn in point and wheel angle just right to take it flat out. I'd suggest you get a really good marker for turn in. The fence on the right is useful for me and I turn in just before I reach one of the poles after the 50 board.

I will not be trying to take it flat in the race. A little lift on entry will make the margins for error much larger.

Statement regarding the Manufacturers Cup HSR Gr.4 wallriding:
"The GT7 Sport Mode Operations Team is currently reviewing these instances of improper driving"

I hope he's getting overtime pay

Thanks for the update PD. Was looking forward to Manufacturers, had decent pace and done a few practice races and felt confident. Now it looks like I won’t even bother.

Hards were completely dead by lap 8 and Mediums completely bald by end of lap 13. Car just heads off the track in a straight line. Not happy :irked:

Oh and thanks for putting in Kyoto too, one of my least favourite tracks 🙄

Maybe this is PD's attempt at introducing a bit more strategy - ramp up the tyre wear so people have no choice but to pit, none of this boring fuel-saving no-stopping. Or they just screwed everyone a couple of days before an event.
