Gran Turismo World Tour is happening

Amazing event. Came back from work and watched both races in monza and Nurburgring.
Especially monza was amazing.

Could someone post the Psn ids next to each player's real name ?
It would have been really useful. Its a foul from PD that didnt include psn names.

I can also see them doing this at Circuit of the Americas with the FIAs blessing. Which IMO would be great as I am at that track at least once a month racing anyway and more now that they have a proper karting track there. It's only a 35 minute drive from my house using highway 130 and it's 85 MPH speed limit.

Upvote for Circuit of the Americas! I also live 30-45 minutes away from it.

I have to say. These races really got me hooking and i'm trying to race without tcs\csa etc thanks to them.
So glad i tuned it, can't wait for tomorrow

Why doesn't GRAN TURISMO TV keep the live streams uploaded? Is there any way to watch the races again? Because I don't really plan on staying up late just to watch the Nations Cup race tomorrow (I too am in an exam period now!).

Edit: voila...I don't understand why they would want to keep these unlisted? Maybe they will upload a highlights package or something.

I think the links that are found here still work: https://www.gran-turismo.com/gb/gtsport/news/00_5091246.html

I talked to Nik_Makozi, 17-year old!, (#1 Australian driver and 7 time Nations Cup Champion + former Manufacturer Series champion in the Asia/Oceania region) prior to event and asked if he was going. He told me that he was going to do his best to get all of his school obligations out of the way to make it there and was practicing day and night for the event (Gr.3 at Nurburgring 24h layout with Mercedes AMG GT everyday for about 2 hours - tyre/fuel wear and no CSA). Was going to travel by car on Wednesday from Macedonia to Germany in time for some racing on Thursday and Friday, but it turned out he had a couple of tests that week. Very big shame.
I would really like to have seen how he matched up against the European competition, plus it would've been great promotion for us Aussies (and Australia as a nation :)).

Guess we're going to have to wait for the "Asia/Oceania cup" to see him in action for the first time.
Whoah! Nik's the same age as I am :D

Gotta step up my game, I guess :)

Only watched the Monza race so far since I've been really busy, but damn amazing race!!!

All I can say about the new tyre model is it feels pretty natural but its about 10 times more punishing, the days of quickly snapping the wheel left to right or pretty much any aggressive motion are gone.

The cars as a result of the tyre model were 2 seconds slower at Monza and 10 seconds slower at the Ring.

If anyone is wondering about my crash into the Ferrari at Monza, the Ferrari had basically stopped and I had broken at the normal place.. But it was one of those where irrespective of what I did at that point It was going to be contact. Not sure what happened with the Ferrari, but stuff happens...

As for nords, I've never liked racing on it so hadn't touched it in GT Sport until today where I got 2 laps practice in the morning, had half a lap at the AMG circuit experience in the lounge and then instantly into the race. The move at the first corner on me out of the pits was odd, because it was so tight there's no way to make it without contact, but the contact caused the car to continually oversteer and offset the balance of the car which is why it span round to hit the Toyota. Not the best 2 races but I think I've just had a bad day of luck... as literally as I got food got told by family the cruise I should be on (And meeting up with after the event) is now not docking at 1 port and going to another 400 miles away so i've had to change my schedule for the weekend to try make it (Means pulling an all nighter tomorrow with Nations Cup included!), so not the best of days!

Finally in terms of Nations Cup tomorrow I think I'm the biggest underdog imaginable! As my qualification time was 10th fastest (Dropped half a second somewhere), I didn't get to choose any of the cars in the Nations Cup final (As the fastest got first pick for all 4 races, then 2nd fastest etc.) so I've got the worst cars imaginable, including the killer Lamboghini Gr3! So I'll race for fun and hope the Lambo doesn't try to shoot me off into the barrier more than a few times :).

Great event though, really enjoyable and thanks for any support from anyone who has sent messages!

Doesn't sound good at all... I really hope they added progressive grip because driving FF cars is a joke, same goes for accelerating cars.

It's a pity Twissy and Rick weren't there, arguably the best two drivers I've raced wheel-to-wheel with and the quickest from their respected nations.

That's perfect for me. The game needed to punish the aggressive acceleration users, particularly on Gr4 cars.

Hi, if i can ask, the new tyre model is a little bit on/off like before or it is more progressive like in assetto corsa for example?
Sorry my english by the way

Just finished watching the races. Gripping stuff out there! Part of me was a little surprised that it looked more like a touring car race with all the contact and spins. Then again, I remember having to do races for GT Academy finals and how I felt the pressure dealing with an unfamiliar rig and what was back then a sneak peek of GT6.

A few thoughts after watching:
1. The cars looked a bit more realistic moving around the track, seemed a bit more grounded in turns instead of looking like they're pivoting around a point. I don't know if that's the new tire model or what.
2. The tire-level cam view was cool, although it exposed some low-res textures and low-poly stuff like the BMW's side exhaust port.
3. I've been thinking it'd be great for PD to add a team feature into GTS to facilitate eSports and league events like team endurance races, and this underscored that wish. Instead of jumping out of seats, the other teams could spectate until it's their turn and then control of the car switches to them in the pits.
4. I hope Kaz is a bit embarrassed by the performance of the MR cars in this event. The new tire model definitely didn't seem to improve the problems with their stability.

Congats to everyone for this event i really enjoyed it although no damage made the races a bit less hmmm realistic i guees ? it would have been awsome if we had proper cosmetic damage at least so the SC could came in use. It will be intresting to see how the N24 gonna work out although im counting more on the drivers to keep me watching cause without damage/SC Dynamic time/weather the race will be a bit dull for me as a viewer.

Really looking forward to the racing today. This is so much better than real racing!! Trying to think why and come to the conclusion that the racing is so much closer and drivers go for moves that might be too dangerous to contemplate if the racing were real - risk of death etc. Because the graphics are so good and the directing of the real race filiming is so good you are close to believing that it is real

Better than real racing? ok your opinion im not gonna argue , now to answer your quastion they go for these types of moves because there's no actual damage so there's almost nothing to lose thats why everyone even in regular online races can do the stupid things many pepole do & that needs to change.

Maybe but I think it's better this way. The said, a driver who makes a mistake and causes an accident should always be penalised strictly. If they enabled real damage there would be too many cars wrecked and it would be unfair for the clean and nice drivers.

Just DQ people who do crazy stuff like the one in Porsche yesterday where a guy in Toyota in front of him was little bit slower so he hit his rear and sent him off track. No punishment was applied there btw.

I see your point but lets the do it "my" way one wreck is gonna happen true but then the player who does it gets no enjoyment cause he destroyed himeself along with the other car/s so either 1. the player will learn & race fairly or if it happens more than two times on because it was planed Ban him/her.

Actually we can take the whole damage thing away and just do the ban thing
