Gran Turismo World Tour is happening

Honestly I dont agree with all what you saying... and I also believe that the best simulation driving game would be part GTS part AC! A mix from the 2 would become the best simulator ever! That and a better penalization system then those from both games, with more AI implementation!
..

I hear you. You are probably right about that being the best sim!....But I would bet that kind of game would sell far less copies than a typical Gran Turismo game, like Assetto Corsa and Project Cars already do. I hope I am wrong on that, but I wonder based on their sales, at least on console anyway. I love all three of those games. You are missing my point. Unless Sony/PD suddenly decide they don't want to have one of the best selling racing franchises in history.....then Gran Turismo is going to remain a casual/sim oriented game. It is the only way to reach the maximum amount of players. Remember, by FAR most players use a pad. Sony are always going to want PD to cater to that crowd, at least alongside offering excellent wheel support. Frankly, I think PD do a good job of catering to both crowds already. I love the game as is except for the lack of content. Like you, I also enjoy the more sim oriented games too. I just don't see the need to change Gran Turismo into that. But I'm also someone that prefers gaming on console....I have a nice PC, but I just like the simplicity of the console experience, but to each their own! Cheers

That smoke from brakes on pitstop? Has it been like that? :odd:
I also noticed more dust on the track at Monza.

Edit:
Online Lobbies, Racing Number Type -> Nations Cup Racing Number

Ah, okay. Just not for customising anywhere else.

And my question is: Why on earth do they not adopt this penalty system on the game?
Can you imagine how much better the races would be?

Yes everything but the pit penalty. Wouldn't work with average racers. Keep it for top shelf racers.

Would still be better at the highest level online

Would require a lot of new staff, even if only used for the highest lobbies in FIA Events.

That's 30 races every Wednesday, and every Saturday, across the multiple regions, where you'd probably need 2 or 3 stewards per race to be able to check stuff and manually apply penalties.

Plus, it might actually be more controversial to have humans deciding live in a moment.

I’m not happy that the italian guy is gonna win the championship. Raced him couple of times and he has always been dirty...

Thats the difference between the game implementing a penalty and the stewards saying "we'd like you to stay on the track"

I’m not sure I follow... they are still driving 4 wheels off white lines in some part of tracks..

Not a very good advert for the competition if the eventual winner is the guy that crashed others off the track when the race wasn't going his way, and gets it due to another driver getting a penalty. Just shows driving dirty pays off.

Giorgio is much dirtier than fuvaros... just saying from personal experience

But he didn’t serve his penalty. Or am I going insane?

Atho deserved to win this. I think he was leading race 2 when they stopped it for some strange reason, and clearly got taken out in the last race.
Giorgio was superb too.
There are too many fast drivers who lack race craft. Poor mistake at Maggiore. And I don't think the penalty was served
