Overkill car has overkilled. Nice chapter.

Nice work, I see that the Giulia owned those other "new" cars.

Nice work. Waiting to see more. 👍

I knew that...just was saying it for lulz. And I was just betting on the next race in your fanfic :boggled:

You know, I've only just realised what I said. I'm so far ahead of myself that I'm accidentally letting future chapters slip. And now driftking has a picture of my C4 in Switzerland!

Anyway, that TZ made mince meat of everything there. I cant get over how good it looks in white.

VTiRoj
I cant get over how good it looks in white.

I'll never get over the fact I painted it at all.

Although I only really painted it in an attempt to cover up the 130 on the bonnet and the circle covering the 130's on the side (to make it look more like a road car since it's based off of the original TZ). It looked good, but if you look really close they're still just about visible for me.

Important announcement coming up.

I'm looking for up to (but not necessarily) 4 people to hire for my next chapter in the fan fic.

If you want a spot, then post in here and I'll PM you the cars you'll need (assuming others come along the cars you'll need might change). The time to be in my lobby is today, Saturday 18th June, at 13:30 BST. Time zone clock is here if you need it.

As the last chapter would imply, it's gonna be on Rome.

Thanks in advance. :D

EDIT: Maybe I can join in.

I want to help!!

I can help. What do I need?

I'll PM you later saying what you'll need. :sly:

Also nice to see you're paying me back for the help I gave you with Hashiriya. My Golf's changed since you saw it... :D

I've messaged everyone who's been hired...please read the message if you can.

Chapter 11 - More Than A Girl

We had arrived in Rome after a long drive. I'd left my dad quite a distance behind (completely by accident of course) since he was in the truck carrying my Giulia home and I was in my GTO...well, what can you do. Still I'd made it to Rome by myself and was now scouting around the town.

Rome_17.jpg

"Am I in a time machine or a GTO? First Le Mans, now this..."

As I went past the amazing Colosseum, I was ready to head out of Rome.

Rome_16.jpg

"Almost out of Rome. It's been good here."

But before I could, I had to slam my brake pedal down to stop myself from going head first into three cars blocking the wrong side of the road!

Rome_15.jpg

"Whoa!!! What's this lot doing here?!"

They weren't just on the wrong side of the road though...they were parked on the wrong side of the road.

Rome_14.jpg

"A Challenger...in pink. That's almost an insult..."

Rome_13.jpg

"An i-MiEV. At least the colour of this suits what it is! Stupid milk float."

And in the center, we had...

Rome_12.jpg

"A pink...LFA?! Hahaha! What idiot decided to buy their LFA in this colour?! Ahaha!"

But before I could continue laughing at the sheer ridiculousness of a pink LFA, three girls came out of nowhere...

...Of course.

One had green hair and went up to the i-MiEV. Another one with ginger hair went up to the Challenger. The last girl, a blonde, went up...to me. Great...

"...Problem?"
"Yeah...you're kind of in my way."
"Well...I can tell you're just a boy racer. But with such an ugly car like yours...we wouldn't ever let you through."
"Ugly? I'm sorry, but can that pink LFA you have possibly make any less sense?"
"...What did you say?"
"Oh, apparently you didn't here me the first time, so I'll say it again..."
"Right. It's on."
"Er...what?"
"If you want a race, I'll give you one. And I'll send you right down the nearest drain here."
"...Ahahahahaha! You're giving me a race?! Sorry, I'm struggling to keep my breath now you've said that! Ahahaha!"

She them stormed off to her LFA and started it up. She then revved it up with a scream not natural to that of the LFA...

"Wait a minute...that's a modified LFA?"

...and then got within a millimetre of my GTO. I could see her face through the window...and it wasn't a happy one.

"Alright, alright! I'll have a race with you. Even though you know you're going to get destroyed, right?"
"As if something like a GTO could possibly beat me..."
"You just watch...I'll leave you choking on your own mascara."
"Bring it, then!"

So, I was racing with a crazy girl who thought her pink LFA could beat my 695bhp GTO. Clever girl...though she was blonde, right?

Still, there was no time for jokes then. It was time...for some racing.

Rome_11.jpg

"I literally cannot see anyway for me to lose here..."
"Such a 🤬...I'll show him girl power!"

As the race started, I cut across the LFA just in case the impossible happened and I didn't get a better start.

Rome_10.jpg

"Come on, GTO!"
"Let's take him down, LFA!"

That didn't happen obviously, and straight away I pulled away from the LFA.

Rome_9.jpg

"Wow, that wasn't hard at all."
"Wait...stop! Come back here!!"

Rome_8.jpg

"Damn it...he has got a fast car!"

And that was pretty much all I had to do to win. Not really what I'd call a race, would you? More a testament to the GTO's amazing power.

Rome_7.jpg

"If only she'd known better..."

Rome_6.jpg

"Wow...he's left me in the dust!"

I even bothered to lift off down some of the straights.

Rome_5.jpg

"Yawn...wake me up when I get there, someone."

Rome_4.jpg

"I can't keep up!"

Rome_3.jpg

"Yay! Totally unnecessary full throttle..."

The finish line was in sight. We were only doing one lap of the main circuit. Not that it would ever have mattered...

Rome_2.jpg

"Oh no, I'm not gonna make it in time...aha."

I even did a few swerves across the line.

Rome_1.jpg

"Even the Giulia race was harder than this. Haha!"

Rome.jpg

"That car...it's amazing."

As the LFA screamed across the line then stopped next to me, I started laughing once more before I noticed she was...smiling at me?

"Hahaha! That's what you get for...wait a minute, why are you smiling at me?"
"The car. That thing does go so fast..."
"Erm...you OK?"
"Yeah...how much HP it have?"
"It came with 695."
"Wow! That's high. No wonder I lost...this thing's only got 612."

OK, maybe she didn't know about my HP...but eh.

"Hmm...I have to say, the sound of that thing is much better than I remember it being."
"Yeah, of course, I modified it...how about we get out of our cars now? We need to get to know each other a bit more."
"Um...OK...then."

I got out of my GTO. I took a quick glimpse at the LFA, and I couldn't help thinking that it was actually a rather good car...it looked good, the paint job itself wasn't that bad, and of course the sound...but now wasn't the time for comment. It was time to chat up some girls...I think.

"So, what's your name then?"
"I'm Jason. Son of a famous racing driver, Adam Cutler..."
"Of course! You beat those supercars down in Switzerland, didn't you?"
"Yeah, that's me. So...what's your name then."
"OK then, I suppose I'd better introduce my whole group of friends then, hadn't I?"
"Go on then."

Rome_13.jpg

"The Mitsu driver here, her name's Terri. She's only got a kei car, but she's actually one of the top drivers in the Kei Car Championships held in Japan."

Rome_14.jpg

"The Challenger driver here is Krystal. She's got a reputation among some classic muscle car drivers. She's won plenty of races with her Challenger, even with no modifications to her car at all."

ToscanaTarmac_13-1-1.jpg

"There's also another member of our group, but she's currently got some racing to take care of. Her name's Danielle, and she's got a modified FT-86. She's one of the better sports car racers around."

Rome_12.jpg

"And I'm Katie, leader of our group. I've obviously got the most powerful car, but also the biggest reputation of the group. I've embarrassed plenty of men and boys before, and people consider me one of the most talented racers around."

"There you have it. That's our group."
"OK, thank you. I've gotta get back home to Bern, I'm coming back from a race at Cape Ring."
"Cape Ring? I love that place. It's perfect for driving and visiting..."
"Yes, definitely. OK, I've gotta go now."
"Later. It was nice to get to know you. See you!"
"Bye!"

"...I'm gonna be seeing her again. I just know it."

And so, it was time to head off back to Bern. My dad had also caught up with me at last...

"There's Dad's truck! I am in trouble..."

I quickly rushed into my GTO and started up and got away very quickly, as a joke of course.

"Hahaha...oh, the things this car can do."

Jason has met Katie, leader of a popular racing group and now beaten her in a race. Now Jason heads off back to Bern to have a break from racing. What will happen in this time? And is this the last we will see of Katie...?

Stay tuned to Grand PriX to find out!

Courtesy to driftking18594 for his part as Terri and darren200cook for his roles both as Krystal and Katie! (Yes, that sounds a tad wrong, but eh.)

"Ugly? I'm sorry, but can that pink LFA you have possibly make any less sense?"

Yes, she's a girl. Hence it makes perfect sense.

Great chapter as always, but I wanted Katie to win. :(

I will never be able to live down the memory of driving that milk float...

Sadly, Jason had no idea that girls can drive supercars. :indiff: It was the sad truth at the time before the post-race.

I will never be able to live down the memory of driving that milk float...

Sorry about that...don't worry, you must have sold it by now! ...Have you? :guilty:

And now, it's time for some

Having competed in many races before, and won the FIA GT Championship twice, Adam is one of the more well known racers in the world. He of course competed in the X2010 Championship, which saw his popularity boost higher, even though he'd announced it'd be his last racing season. He won his last ever professional race at Special Stage Route 7 at the last race of the season.

Awesome chapter, and jeeze, women and their creative colour sense (note the sarcasm) :yuck:  Captured their colour sense well, wouldn't have surprised me if they had pink handbags with pink clothing :yuck: :P :)

And great character bios 👍

Interesting... "Liutenants (did I spell it right?)" for each category...

Hehehehe, THE INVASION OF PINK HAS BEGUN. NOBODY CAN STOP US NOW!!!!!!!!

It's lieutenants. It's one of those stupid words that sounds nothing like it's spelt. :irked: Also I could have sworn that Russell and Adam were virtually in the same 'category', just Adam made it further in racing (although I can kinda see what you mean because Adam was also a rallyer) :P And Ishizaki's more of a Private First Class than a Lieutenant

Also YAY PINK. Grr. :D

And a new shiny avatar to go with :D

Adam sorta looks like Adrian Newey...

Adam sorta looks like Adrian Newey...

He does a bit. I was trying to make him look a bit older but the website I used is a bit limited in that regard. Also with a better face maker I could have made pretty much all of them look as I wanted them to, though Henry came out pretty much perfectly for me :D

Very nice so far, the chapters are nicely structured, and rather exhilarating.

Also, Nicely done Biographies!

Lastly, may I ask (Don't need to answer), what program did you use to make the biographies? I like the style.

It's actually on DeviantArt. I literally typed in 'face maker' onto the internet and it was the first result

Chapter 12 - O.T.T.

It was just another day in Bern, with me sitting at the computer, checking my e-mails. Then, suddenly...

"Jason!"
"Oh, hi, Ishizaki. What brings you here to my home?"
"Hmm...well, I was just thinking about this..."
"What is it? I don't have a whole lot of time on my hands at the moment..."
"I was thinking of trying to enter some proper races as well like you."
"Hmm...well, it's a lot more dangerous when you're in proper races."
"Kinda heard about it."
"Well I'd say if you want to do any actual racing, your Yaris would be a good bet for some races like the Sunday Cup perhaps."
"But I don't wanna do anything on a Sunday!"
"That's not entirely the idea...but eh. Maybe try the compact car races around the place?"
"Sounds good!"
"You think?"
"Of course!"
"OK then, try them out and see what you think."
"Will do!"

Suddenly we heard a low-pitched growl of an engine coming up towards our driveway.

"Wait a second...I haven't heard that kind of noise before."

I looked over onto the terrace to find a red Citroen GT with massive aero parts stuck onto it and a variety of decals stuck on the car as well.

I then saw Dad getting out of the car.

"Are you seriously joking me? That is not a car at all...that's a spaceship!"

I rushed down. Ishizaki was already down, looking at the wonderful new car that Dad had bought.

"...Wow. That's not just a supercar. It's a super car."

Bern-Marktgasse_2-2.jpg

Indeed it had a simply gorgeous looking wing and massive intimidating bumpers.

"Wow, Dad!"
"Hey, Jason."
"So, that's your new..."

Bern-Marktgasse_3-1.jpg

"Indeed it is. Had to spend all my winnings on the race for it, but boy is it worth its gold."
"Wow does that thing look good. Specs?"
"It's been modded up to 620 hp+, 1200kg, 7 speed tranny...and an admittedly rather hard cockpit to look out of."
"But what's the point if you're not racing any more?"
"Well...why not?"

Later on we went inside into the house.

"...Hey, Ishizaki."
"What's up, Adam?"
"...I know you want to become a racer like Jason is slowly but surely becoming."
"Yes..."
"Well, I've though pretty hard about this, but I've come up with a suggestion that might help you get a boost to start with."
"OK."
"Since I'll admit there's not much use for it now that I've stopped racing...how about you borrow the new Citroen GT I've bought?"

At this point, my jaw literally exploded from the force of the shock being put into it from that last sentence that Dad just said.

"You mad, Dad?"
"I'm mad, son. I know. But if your friend here wants a good start to his racing career then he needs to get himself off the ground early."
"Here you go again with your excellent overestimation skills, Dad. Ishizaki, for one...no offense, isn't exactly anywhere near the driver I am. Secondly, even I haven't seen how that GT drives. And thirdly...you paid what, 5,600,000 for that? That's gonna be a race win's worth of money down the drain if he wrecks that bad boy."
"I understand your concerns perfectly. But, to be honest, if it's just gonna lay dead in my garage for ever, then what's the point? I'm probably not gonna use it very often at all, so might as well give some other guys I try with it."
"...Fair enough, but seriously...you're putting a barely 1 hour old car on the line already."

At this point the conversation we had was interrupted by Ishizaki, who had been speechless for the entire thing.

"...Wow! Oh my god! Are you serious?!?!?! You're letting me drive it?!?!?!?!?!?!? OMG!!!!!"

A typical reaction there from Ishizaki, the master of LOL in the streets of Marktgasse.

"Yes, I am serious, Ishizaki. So, you wanna do it, or not?"
"Of course I'm doing it! Seeyagottagobye!"

Ishizaki immediately attempted to rush out of the house. But, of course...

"Ishizaki! You forgot the keys!"
"Aargh, damn it! Of course I did! OK, give them to me and I'll be happy!"

Dad handed over some fine-looking pearl red-painted keys to Ishizaki.

"Thanks! Gotta go bye-"
"I need to come down with you. You'll be hopeless at starting it up if I'm not there."
"Of course, the switches..."

Dad went down with Ishizaki.

"That is one of the worst decisions in his life he will ever make. Wrecking a 5.6 million dollar car is just the only outcome here I see..."

A few hours after Ishizaki had left, me and Dad were still arguing about why he would ever give a car that was worth 5.6 million dollars to a guy who actually failed his license test the first time and had only driven a Nissan Micra and a Toyota Yaris prior to driving in it.

"Just why would you really give him that car?"
"It'll give him a good start to his racing career as I've already said 5 times now."
"There aren't exactly any races going on right now though..."
"And that's why I've given him it mainly for practicing."
"Come on though...that's just practice. Do we really need to talk about practice?"
"Yes. That's why you need to learn how to drive and practice the art in doing it so you can do it."
"Dude, that's not practicing...it is just learning."
"Exactly. Then you practice what you've learnt when you're doing the test."
"Dude, you're starting to lose me now..."
"Well good job. I win then!"
"Sigh."

Meanwhile, on the open roads...

ToscanaTarmac_7-4.jpg

"Yikes!!!!!!!"

ToscanaTarmac_8-3.jpg

"I'm almost doing 180...on grass!!!!"

ToscanaTarmac-5.jpg

"This thing is freaking fast!!!!"

ToscanaTarmac_1-3.jpg

"And it's so good through the corners...!!!"

ToscanaTarmac_2-3.jpg

"The engine just roars....."

ToscanaTarmac_3-3.jpg

"But it's just mindbogglingly fast!!"

ToscanaTarmac_4-4.jpg

"And just amazingly incredible..."

ToscanaTarmac_5-3.jpg

"I want the money to own one of these things!"

ToscanaTarmac_6-3.jpg

"Because this thing...is unbelievable!!"

...Maybe Dad was right all along. Goes to show how being an ex-racing driver can help so much, can't it?

With Ishizaki now with good racing practice from the wonderful new Citroen GT of Adam's, maybe Ishizaki's hopes of becoming a top racer might come true. But how can he fare when the real thing comes to light?

Stay tuned to Grand PriX to find out!

I think this would suit the scene perfectly:
