GT 7 Servers are still down...

That's some great insight, even better, we as players have the option to boycott these dumb microtransavtions by not being impatient and not buying them.
I was not planning to buy some and will not. You can enjoy the game without spending any money.
Like Genshin Impact for example (even if to have the best team you have to haha)

Mine is 354.5 mb, I think it's a bug, cancel and restart the download.
Pause and resume. It works well.

Never paid a dime for mtx, but slthree has a Stockholm syndrome hence the defence and denial

Personally I don’t really give two poops about MTX and the payouts. I play the game to enjoy the drive. Credits accumulate overtime.

My big sticking point is the always online aspect. GT Sport had it as well but it also allowed us to access our garage at least? Unless I’m mistaken. But we can’t even access that in GT7.

Now if PD wants to make it server locked, ok fine, but at least allow us more to do than arcade with a bunch of pre selected cars. Surely they can at least allow us to do the main non arcade events and let us save locally? It shouldn’t be hard at all for our saves to be verified by their servers.

There’s some core design elements that need serious re dress. The whole MTX thing, yeah it sucks, but some people just get cringe with it man.

Anyway, my small rant. Have a nice day.

Microtransactions are a con especially when a game's producers try to herd you into a state and limit you from obtaining in-game currency the usual way.
That is what is happening here, for sure...

If it gets any worse then it becomes a scam!
The sad thing was the game was so good until PD tried to make a cash cow out of it. Had they banked on selling games and came out with exclusive car packs like Forza instead of making it impossible to get credits which you can pay for with real money, the game would be fine and their update also would've worked too.

Is it at all possible for somebody to send this forum to PD on Twitter, I prefer to stay away from that retched place but I know there are some brave souls here.

This whole micro transaction thing reminds be of the star wars battlefront 2 debacle. It stunk then and it stinks now. EA were forced to backpedal on that but did huge damage to the games reputation. Pay to win is WRONG. I'm so disappointed in PD. Gts was better.

The obscene amount of time you need to play to get enough credits to buy a car, which might even be not be available, the 'limited stock' in the dealership, the invitation to buy reward, it all is trying to make you FOMO. Haven't got the credits, go to the store and drop £200 to get your favourite car, just incase you don't see it again.

Yes and the 20 mill cap is very dubious. What genuine reason can they have for implementing that... but its OK, purchasing credits doesn't have tge same ceiling.

Estimate or no estimate, to not update their fanbase after 24 hours since the last announcement is disgusting and not something I would have ever expected from PD.

Except, y'know, the $70 spent on the game. I guess that's nothing?
No, I'm not saying that's nothing. That's a lot of money for some people. Of course, we should have expectations for that.

We are disappointed. Some are mad. Some are really mad. I'm in that group.

I guess my mistake was trying to calm people down because the game being offline for a day or two days, or whatever it ends up being, is a minor thing. Most people have other games they can play during that time. It's disappointing but it's not like they're doing it on purpose to punish us. They instituted an update and something clearly went wrong. Remember, even before the update they had problems with saves on their server so there was already something going wrong.

I'm getting exhausted trying to explain that microtransactions are not illegal. I hate them and I wish they did not exist but they do and people pay extra money to get the things they want a little faster. That's why they exist.

Even some who are on these forms with us and are complaining how bad that is, are likely going to spend money. I'm just trying to say, be patient and don't spend that money because you can use it for something else and I don't want to reward PD for putting us in this situation.

My son-in-law works a lot of hours, like many of the people here, and I hate that he doesn't have enough time on his machine to grind for the credits to get some of the cars he really loves. It means way more to him than to me.

I just love racing games for the racing. It's an escape from the stress of life. I'm not necessarily a car collector like some here are.

I've stated numerous times and I fully understand why people feel disappointed. But, the best way to get revenge (if people want to use that word) is to not spend a single dollar in the PlayStation store buying credits.

We shouldn't be arguing with each other over this situation. We should be figuring out how to prevent it from happening again. We can't do that by saying we'll never buy another PD game. It might be three or four years before they even make another game.

Don't buy credits is the only option we have to express discontent.
