Nobody is really arsed how long you spent on each event? there's no medals for the least attempts even though it does sounds better! as long as you feel you give it your best effort

Nice times btw! 👍 but you are sitting ahead of me on round 4 and I will have to fix that with as many attempts as I see fit 👍

No but I like to say how much time I've spent so people can look at improving to get the times in a smaller time period. If something takes you 5 hours to get or something takes you 30 minutes your better aiming for 30 minutes. That is why I'm posting the times I spent on an event . It's something best practiced for, especially with the later events to! If you can't nail something in a shorter period it will be increasingly difficult to do later on when more difficult events turn up!

That cape ring is nasty, I hate the last left it's like they have moved the cone slightly in for annoyance.

Edit: Just another thing on the time front I do get quite a few messages asking how long it took me so it sort of combines them all. (I'm rather tired now so my minds a bit mashed, 6am wake ups kill :S, 1 more video to make then sleep!)

Overall combined times on rounds 3 and 4 = #1 UK

I've stolen your place of #1 overall in the UK for round 3, though only by 0.003, which puts us both 11th and 12th worldwide. I'm also currently #1 worldwide for a DS3 controller, though I can't imagine things are going to stay like that for very long, they never do, I just don't have that edge.

Just a dumbass question, how do you find out overall combined times for a round? I can only find times for each event.

You see, this is why I love GT sometimes, a good sense of competition ! I won't be on much tonight or Tomorrow though, some of my videos failed to upload so I'll be uploading those while doing my weight training tonight!! But will be nice to see where you guys end up, keep at it!

Speaking of dumb questions, is there a list of last years events somewhere? Just wondering If these challenges get harder like the license tests did, or they are always easy, so everybody gets the cars, and only the best people get the real low times?

Did anyone else try to go really slow through a test?

I did it, because I wanted to know how many people approximately had already tried that particular test.

What happened was, that when I had reached the bronze time without finishing yet, it classified my run as "failed".

That means that everyone who manages to finish a test, will pass. And for the bronze time, you can really stop in the middle for a coffee, and then finish it.

Anyone tried passing it going in reverse yet?

On a side note I have to congratulate Dan Holland for topping the first 3 sets and we all pretty much know he will take the 4th set also! stunning effort Dan!... pretty much says you are the worlds number 1 player in my book as all the best players are in the leaderboards below you Well Done

Would be nice to be about a bit more, but I got a new role at work in January and I'm now away from home Sunday-Thursday night every week... sorta gets in the way of my solcial life and GTing.

I'm sneaking a quick go at each round, but only really enoyed the S bends and the Ring multicar event so far... I did see you're still quick... you had the top times on my friends list for most events last time I looked.

Cheers Chris, it's a shame I'm not in 1st in my friends list some of those guys are pushing me over my own limit haha... some seriously fast guys running these tests Thankfully the running leaderboards keep it more competitive for all and hopefully PD will implement these deeper into the game and build a full track / car database when the GTA finishes 👍

Well do they leave you at the start, before even turning a corner? if so your pad or pedals may not be working right. is the accelerator bar fully at the top when accelerating?

If the the above is fine the problem is simply you! the guys at the top are very talanted who have had many years practice to be as good as they are.

GT Academy is that big now people (me included ) have been practicing months before GT Academy was even announced

The guys at the top of the rankings are a combination of being able to set a very quick time straight away and/or spending a serious amount of time at it.
For now i'm happy with achieving gold and rarely re-run a test unless i find it fun. Focus your energies for the last round(s) or else practice full laps in the game with the Nissan cars

I have had my PS3 controller for over two years would the X button have weared down?

Good way of testing is change the button for acceleration to something else see if the car acts the same way.

my best time on 1-1 is 0:30.506 which is +0.00,154 slower which isn't bad I think

I have been trying to beat my best time on 2-2 but I just can't seem to do anymore my best time is 0:27.614 which is 0:1.674 off the best time.
How does it compare to your time?

Instead of another button, try switching your brakes and accelerator to L2 and R2, it'll give ya a lot more input on your control since it's more like a trigger. Just another thing to try.

As I posted in the NA thread I’m Brazilian and of course there is no GT Academy here, but I have double citizenship! I’m also Italian.

I’m not that good at all but imagine if I join the EU GT Academy and get to the finals. Would they accept that?

In 2011 italian rules an italian driver license was needed. Another requisite was an psn italian account, much easier to fullfill.

Practice makes perfect I am sure you can get gold keep trying on 5-5
