GT Racing - GT1, GT3, Blancpain Endurance Series & National GT SeriesSports Cars

I'm watching the highlights of the Blancpain Endurance Series race around the Nürburgring after having seen the finish of the 2016 F1 British Grand Prix. Still can't help but be fascinated about these GT3 cars. Then again, I've loved GT/sportscar/endurance racing all of my life as a racing fan. The M6 GTs look sweet, though I liked the Z4 GTs more.

The first entry for next year's Bathurst 12 hour has been submitted.

Maranello Motorsport and Toni Vilander set for Bathurst tilt.

Is it just me or is the live feed a bit... Rancid???
It was pretty low resolution for me but I have turned it off and switched to Indycar. I have a hard time getting my head around the idea of cars leaving the track to go find a gas station and they only have 6 pumps.

So I'm guessing it'll be something more elaborate then this:

Thats a good idea.Speqs are not that different. But you'll have to spend loads of money and eventually go against the big dogs.Nissan did try to do that with Lmp1 but we know how it ended.
Err, Nissan tried to compete in LMP1 with an insanely radical design and one that was incomplete and we never found out its true potential since they gave up after one race. GTE isn't quite so bombastically hard, and has BoP.

GTE is not that easy either.BoP can work for you or against you (FIA willing)Why do you think that big companies stay away even if they already have GT3 speq cars racing? But in any case it would be good to see a GTE version.

Most stay away from GTE because its almost profitable (pennies over breaking even :P ) in a way to build a GT3, since you just sell them to a team and provide some instructions and pieces for the car basically (in simpleton (aka me) terms). GTE-Pro is full on factory effort that costs a lot of money. But its still WAY easier than LMP1, since as long as the car is competitive in overall build, BoP will even it up.

So I don't think it's been confirmed that Realtime have committed to running the NSX GT3 next year, but given that they are helping with testing this weekend (and for the rest of the year) can we assume they are switching?

Well, realistically, who else would've been willing to? Besides, Realtime now have pure GT3 car to choose as opposed to a modified PWC car.

Of course, that would mean that we see the departure of the last pure PWC Vehicle (after the CTS-V).
