What's up with all this hatin' spreading like a virus over the threads? First in the general discussion thread, now here? Fo shame, people. I was about to comment the Hyundai VGT being in another livery than previously seen, but now I'm not so sure I want to discuss it.

I noticed that too, thought it was a different car at first. I suppose we've gotten to that point: where everything looks so familiar, even small changes stand out almost instantly!

I'm inclined to agree though. Comments like this:

You could go and volunteer for a cameraman at PD then

Are absolutely not productive in any way. It's this sort of reactionary response that's problematic. @Samus makes a good point: the replays show off some fantastic eye-candy — not as if PD replays ever haven't — but if GT Sport is going to be dealing with broadcasts, there's going to have to be other options. Appealing to existing GT fans is easy. What's going to make GT Sport an eSports success is making sure it caters to the people watching.

Hopefully we see more about that before release.

Or I could just continue to post my thoughts and opinions on this message board. You know, one or the other.

From PD website

They talk about live broadcasts but they're the same angles as replays and currently far from TV-like.
Maybe because it isnt a live broadcast but rather an offline replay? Each has different camera than others.

I think that depends whether you prefer 'artsy' replays or replays that you can actually follow. There was only a few shots in there where you can really see what is going on in the race.

I think replay angles and broadcast angles will be mostly different, maybe not; I was aware of what was going on at the race streams from London.

I can't hear much difference from GT5 or GT6 really. Maybe a slightly better sample. Tires are quieter but don't sound realistic to me. The squeal is basically a monotonous tone that doesn't seem to give any usable feedback. The handling of that GTR seems a bit worrisome. It appears to be driving more like a Yellowbird than one of the worlds most planted sports cars.
Exactly, there is absolutely no change in how the sound works from previous GT's. The only difference is the sample, but the sound is still not realistic at all.

The chase view is terrible, it's been the same since GT4.

Only if they'd add the classic zoomed GT1 case view.

GT4 actually had a pretty decent one. Only with GT5 I suppose it went really bad.

I think it's the same build than the PS4 pro event. (Regular ps4 here)

...Utilizing my limited Korean, I facepalmed so much, listening to this dude prattling on about "oh, the steering's shaking!! It's shaking!!"

And then, "I started practicing since yesterday." followed by, "Oh?! What happend? Where am I going?" right after he accidentally entered the pitlane.

My fav bit was, as soon as he left the pits, he asked "Where am I supposed to go now?"

Oh lord...

Disappointing that they aim for a "cinematic" kind of graphics instead of photo-realism as in previous GT's. There is simply too much contrast and the graphics just look weird imo.

Ok.

I understand genuine gripes about the game...

...but is everything that comes from you a negative about this?

Graphics look fine, their lighting engine is superb. The huge glow is an issue though.

So basically, a guy that's never played racing sims (Exactly the audience PD is going after).

...I have this sneaking suspicion that he might have had an easier time using a pad, rather than with a wheel. Just a hunch.

It's off screen, your watching a recording of a TV screen

The screenshots/trailers will give you a better idea of how it actually looks

Yeah so again that highlights it, much better for GT over past games but Forza just has so much more going on in the sound, it doesn't sound so one dimensional and synthetic.
Yeah, engine sound itself, as well as supercharger sound are great, but there's missing upshift and especialy the revvy downshift sound. Once they got that, we're good.

You have no idea.

A screen (that's probably not calibrated to the correct colour space), recorded by a handicam (that's not calibrated either) compressed to hell and uploaded to youtube, then viewed on an un-calibrated monitor.....

Yep, gonna get some perfect contrast and saturation there......:rolleyes:

I didn't know it was recorded with a camera so I stand corrected.

The title says it.
"Off-Screen" Replay.

but 99.9% of the time, if you've had experience with screen calibration, then you can spot recordings off screen a mile away.
Much like early release DVD's that have been recorded in-cinema with recording equipment, no matter how good the gear, they always, 'off'

Hi ; the sound still in improving mode, i like it, i've notice a tune up from the old videos, Ferrari seems have sound better, the Bugatti have lost the nice Fiuu-Fiuu of turbo, i prefer the old sound of Bugatti vision .
