hmmm

LOL (in before "its only beta")
**censored** **censored** GREEK, I told you, at least change your name to something that does not bring collective shame to Greeks!

The beta is for testing only. Proper comparisons will follow once they have included and enabled everything.

cherry picking? (cit.)

a car from the GTS beta with a bug of the adaptive tessellasion VS forza's photomode (maybe from the pc version of the game)....

look at the edges here :)

Why are not we comparing Impreza with each other?
This photo is PS4 Pro ver. not normal PS4.
Tecmin's photo is XBOX ONE version.

And PC Version is this one:sly:

What an incredibly sad bunch of people you are. Are you really that insecure in your lives that you have to actively seek the worst looking pics of a computer game to post on an internet forum to prove your chosen franchise is better? You have all just proven you have zero credibility when it comes to discussing anything on these boards. How do you expect anybody else to take your opinions seriously when you are so brazenly showing your true colours in this thread?

My suggestions is, if someone shows your favourite in an unfair light counter it by showing it in a good light, don't get dragged further down the well by actively looking to show their favourite in an unfair light.

If you all truly enjoyed racing games and weren't just sad, pathetic, blinded fans of one game you would do your utmost to own them all and enjoy the myriad of different experiences they all offer.

GTS, FM7 & PC2 look absolutely glorious to my eyes. They all have quirks we can find if we really try. However, come November I'll be playing the crap out of all three and enjoying them, not pleasuring myself by searching for evidence of these quirks from the ones I don't own.

This thread is, by some margin, the very worst of this community at this time.

IMO is better to do comparison with gameplay video, because you can see how the car moves and react to the surface if there is any bump or apex, how the environment rendered and spotting is there any attention to small details like spectators or trackside object. Obviously should be done in a same time and weather conditions. We could also compare how the gameplay looks like with various weather conditions, did it look great, fine, or instead makes the framerate unstable. Besides graphics, with video we can also compare sounds, which in this case a better way to do comparison between both games.

An image or gameplay screenshot comparison is fine I guess, as long it is still representative of gameplay vs gameplay with same lighting, time and weather conditions. (Gameplay vs real life also nice, so we can see how accurate the game to replicate realistic aspect). Replay is fine too, so we can compare how the camera angle works and how camera focus to the moving cars. Did it felt realistic like watching live broadcast or towards cinematic style.

Photomode is a bit irrelevant in this case imo because it is basically trying to do "beautification" of in-game graphics. Well you know stuff like adding more polygons, blur effect, lighting adjustment etc. Unless you want to compare photomode vs photomode that would be another story.

Reality hurts?

if that car is low poly on scorpio It's not my fault.

Honestly, I'm OK with any game where that is a low poly car. More than OK. It doesn't hurt at all. I'm more wondering what real point there is differentiating between the graphics if the "flaws" you can find are so slight. The lighting differences between GTS and FM7 I can maybe get behind, although I'd like to see more of the games and particularly more of the night and weather conditions before I make a final judgement. At the moment, GTS still has the problem that at it's best it's incredible, and at it's worst it's really pretty mediocre. FM7 seems to be more consistent, as Forza often is.

But pointing at minor polygons that you wouldn't notice at first glance even in a zoomed in still frame is not making a point at all. That's basically imperceptible during actual gameplay. Sure, it's worse, but it's worse in a way that doesn't matter at all. That's what developers are supposed to do, cut corners where it doesn't matter so that they can make the things that do matter better.

All you're doing is trying to make GTS look better by cutting down the competition, not realising that by pointing out that this is the worst that you can find there's actually very little between them. Which is entirely the point, the differences are so small that it's pretty much down to personal preference for a lot of things. Which is great, there's lots of room for discussion, but only if people are willing to put aside their personal emotional attachment to a brand name and actually consider the games objectively.

Sweet zombie Jesus...

News flash: every game uses different LOD models. Anybody cherry-picking examples of this — which are readily available in GT Sport, FM6/7, and any other title you care to mention — and attempting to present them as the norm in the respective titles is completely missing the point. You are not being clever; it isn't some "a-ha!" moment.

The attitudes in this thread are embarrassing — I genuinely hope nobody from outside the community stumbles across it. A fair few members really need to remove the rose-tinted glasses, from all camps. This isn't a suggestion: either the combative, flame-baity posts stop, or infractions are given.

where are the mods?

Collectively laughing at the idea of a model composed of multiple hundreds of thousands of polygons being referred to as "low poly."
