People complaining about the Zonda being in Gr.x should note that the Zonda R is not road legal nor does it fit any regulations of any race series (didn’t Clarkson say it exceeded noise levels for most tracks?) seems fitting that it’s in Gr.x to me

Yeah, and it's still strange that the Aston Martin Vulcan is in N800.

Very well done Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.

I hope they add the old layout version with the LaCaixa and Europcar corners, and the shortened National one too. Should be very easy to do for PD.

PD is not enthusiastic about alternative layouts. And I do not understand the reason. Sincerely.

Bugatti Circuit, Suzuka West, Nurburgring layouts, anyway. I do not know how difficult it is to bring in alternative layouts.

PC2, for example, always brings all possible layouts.

This is a lighter update than usual and after a longer wait. The cars will be fun, not tried any yet but so far have done the Fuji circuit experience, and the last section should have been 2 parts as it has the most complex corners and is twice as long as the other sections and the text is so long and a bit vague I found it less helpful. So I ignored it and smashed the time anyway, but would be good to learn from it.

The new events, one for the one make Porsche - least favourite Endurance event, what did this car do to deserve such?
The tracks added for Boxer spirit are terrible - Willow and Tsukuba. Bought a 22b, went to race and backed out because the tracks don't do it for me. Why these two?
The Mini race is mixed, so surely very unbalanced.
Also Autumn scapes fine, but little variety in them.

Moan over, basically the cars are the star this time. Can't wait to drive the GTO. Looks like they hastily threw something together to round out the update, it's almost as if they have been busy with something else...

Should be very easy when all the track layouts are already modeled and created, only thing to do for them is to block/unblock paths, you know.
Suzuka, Nurburgring and Catalunya alternative layouts are all there modeled already.

Not strange at all the Vulcan has one road legal converted example thats enough for PD's rule book.
The Zonda Cinque is a road-legal version of the Zonda R and there are 10 of them, so that's no excuse either.

I'm grateful for the update but why does the 288 GTO have to be so much, the new GR2 class cars are less expensive.

288 GTO's appear to fetch a lot of money at auction. (£1m-1.7m), where as racing cars may well not. Difficult to find anything equivalent, but (for instance) the Factory built and supported Lotus Evora GT2 Le Mans car is currently up for $279,000... that's a fairly purpose built factory car, with some pedigree.

Why is it, that Zonda R is the only car with a shaking hood in high speed? Is it like that in real life too?

Shaking hood? Do you mean the vent on the roof in the roof camera? I dont see the hood shaking. the camera is placed right on top of the vent. it looks vibrating.

Because legendary Ferrari.
How many road legal Zondas exist?
I don't know exactly but the R is not one of them.

While thats true don't forget that they need separate license's for each layout not even Codemasters has access on every layout for thair F1 games dispite haveing an official license.

Come on don't be silly why these tracks ? becsuse some may like them for example i absolutly hate Alsase and Sainte-Croix but i don't back out because of that. First lets get one thing clear 1 hour is not considered endurance that being said why does the 911 GT3 RS deserves it? being the first Porsche model in GT history seems like a good resson to me.

Has anyone done a sport mode race and saw how the penalty zones work? If so has it improved the experience or is it even a bigger mess than before?

Nice update .
Barcelona track super sadly no Moto GP layout .
Cars : bingo bought already the Mini ,Jaguar E-Type and Maserati the only ones that are missing are the Ferrari GTO and Pagani R .
Jaguar E-type without TC and no abs is manageable luckily very nice in COCKPIT view .

It seemed an odd choice of tracks to add that had little to do with the strengths of the newly added 22b, though Tsukuba being a Japanese drift track sort of makes sense. I will do them later, but felt a bit uninspired. Just a personal thing.

The first Porsche in GT history...but none of the other manufacturers get this treatment, and given say Nissan Skylines history with GT it would make a stronger argument if history were a reason. It also seems odd no other Porsches can be used, even though they are all the same car really ;).

I just wonder why certain things are how they are when other things seem really thought through and given the original skew to Japanese cars and that Porsche were originally featured via RUF it seems they have never had much importance in GT games.

And about 1 hour being endurance, I agree but someone needs to tell PD.

How is the livery editor a way out of modelling cars?
I guess he'd rather have 8 identical but slightly differently liveried GT500s like GT5 and GT6 had and then complain about PD padding the car list with needless duplicates

Stop complaining about people complaining. People not liking things is more of a basic for forum discussions that everyone agreeing about everything.

I know, but there's people who wont appreciate
So... anyone already doing this? (Not my work btw)

Should called it "Zonda LM Spec II" :DThough it is just Zonda R with LM livery tbh but it looks nice as the original. 👍

Now I wish that was in Gr. 1

They're about as related as the Pagani badge on the front makes them
"The Zonda Cinque (Italian for five) was meant to be the last iteration of the Zonda, being a road going version of the Zonda R."

Zonda R has ten road-going versions: Gr.X
Vulcan has one road-going version: N800.

Logic has left the room

If you read further down then you can see this: "Despite sharing much of the Zonda's shape, the R is almost entirely new, sharing only 10% of the Zonda F's components."

They don't even use the same V12.

It´s worth mentioning that the Zonda LM was a fictional car from the old days. I guess it will be difficult to have it scanned as per the current models. Moreover, there is the Zonda Revolution and they insist on adding the old models.

I like that,,, (the old models) and it would be an intelligent move from PD to create different classes (or races) for old models only!!!

More like your logic has left the room?

PD realized their mistake at making the Vulcan an N car, which in turn caused it to get nerfed to oblivion.

Knowing how unreliable Wikipedia can get, there really is little to no relation between the Zonda R and Cinque aside from similar body shapes and the name. The R uses a 6.0L whereas the Cinque uses a 7.3L, it isn't simple stuff to get a Cinque into the game, it would've taken them longer for that to happen.

Wish they had gone for the Zonda Revolucion...
