GT4 track you hate most

3-Wheel Drive
I have several:
1. Fuji Speedway 2005 GT: You still have the track sections from the other 17000 previous versions of the course leading every which dirction, and it is visually confusing where you have to point the damn car.

2. Citta di Aria: Too many protrudences and buildings that suddenly narrow the track. Nobody enjoys going from 126mph-0 on the final leg of the last lap; allowing the AI to fly by laughing at you as he takes the checkered flag 9 seconds later.

3. Tokyo: Almost every ****ing turn is 90 degrees or more.
There are a couple of others I don't care for, but these are the worst of the worst. And why DOES the game have 5 versions of Fuji Speedway?

I also have to agree with you there. I don't remember exactly which Fuji but at one turn you have absolutely no clue when to turn until you go into the beautiful tyre wall. The Fuji series is like the Skyline but in track version :dopey: .
Citta di Aria, my most hated track...You right about going from 126-0. And the fly-by-laughing is totally right, I know all too well. Just 3 cents to add to my 2 cents :dopey: 👍

I hate Tsukuba it has no high speed and its just boring to me. I used to like Suzuka till they used it every single series on the game then it just got old. Both ovals are boring without cars meant for ovals. None of the city tracks are that boring to me except George V ( too skinny ) and Seoul ( has high speed but no enjoyable corners ). Almost any technical course makes me happy as it keeps my attention well. I don't know how people hate El Capitan its an awsome track. Maybe I just like cuz I've always been unusually fast there. My favs have to be Nurbrgring, El Capitan and Hong Kong.

I enjoy most tracks, but there are sections that I dislike.

Ex.: I enjoy Tsukuba, but not the part from the final hairpin to the long sweeper is far too long for most of the races held there.

As a rule of thumb, I dislike any track that has a large portion of the length of the track in a flat, straight line.

I´ve said it before and I´ll say it again; Tsukuba is by far the most boring track in the game! It´s to short, and at the same time to slow, so the joy of driving is simple screwed up on that track. :yuck: I don´t hate it, coz no track is worth that, but it is boooooring!
I mean, most (read; all) other tracks have something that is enjoyable to them, but not Tsukuba. If there where gocarts in the game, maybe Tsukuba would be a tad funny.

Tsukuba didn't bother me when I did the 4H roadster enduro. I guess driving a MX-5 helped make it bearable.

The driving park tracks are no fun...Beginner course :yuck: Test course is okay for its uses..testing top speed and acceleration. Slipstream battles are cool but potentially frustrating. Driving more than one lap around it or the Speedway is best left to Bob. I just can't understand why NASCAR racing is so appealing.

Oversized sand traps generally piss me off, as I tend to get into them sooner or later..struggling to get back on track, with a mile of quicksand to pass.

Fuji 80 and 90 are too much like Grand Valley east, and twice as boring. The 2005 version is a nightmare. Bland track, and difficult to see where it goes.

I don't care much for city tracks. I'm glad Rome didn't make it. The night-time classics are good, and I kinda like Tokyo, Amalfi, Aria and Seattle, but the rest are too bland or too tricky. With a little practice I'll probably warm up to Hong Kong, Opera and Monaco, but New York and Seoul are simply too alike in their boring-ness. Two long straights with a bunch of blind 90s at one end. Is it just me, or is the surface more sticky on proper race tracks than city tracks?

La Sarthe is a bit disappointing. Maybe its because I can't handle the last 1/4 of it too well, or the long straight. I thought it would be more hilly, with scary jumps where the car would fly off the track (at least the CLK-GTR :) )

GT4 doesn't happen for me until X-mas , but speaking from a GT2 standpoint , the only track I've got anything to say about is Laguna Seca . I love it and hate it . it's so important and historic , and a good test track , but there really isn't anywhere to stretch your legs , so to speak.

Well, you´re in for a - sad - surprise then, since they remade that track for GT4. It´s even twitchier and slower now, but on the other hand, it´s more like the RL counterpart.

ummmm, hopefully this doesnt start an argument, but Nascar tracks are far more like twin ring motegi - super speedway

anyway, I hate the DP courses except for the test course...
I also (probly only I do) hate the Suzuka & Twin-Ring Motegi.... I just don't like em... not sure why... and.... Opera Paris is to bouncy, otherwise, I'd like it

My Worst Track would have to be...

Hong Kong: Mostly everybody dislikes this track. Because, it's extremely tight and has little room for wide-open throttle 👎

Hong Kong is all right once you get to know it. Some of the corners are hard to see amidst all the lights and stuff. It took me a little while to warm up to it.

You´re right about that! The fact is, the Indy Racing League has a race at Twin Ring Superspeedway, the only race they have outside of the U.S. I believe.
A comparison between IRL and NASCAR is easy to do, since both leagues race almost exclusively on ovals. On the other hand, that is just about the only thing they have in common. That, and four wheels... :dopey:

I´m with you on the fact that NASCAR seams very appealing to a lot of people, but I could never understand why.

I like GT4 version of Laguna Seca better than GT2. GT4 is not as forgiving if you overshoot a corner but the corkscrew is easier.
I also like Hong Kong. Aerial shot of the harbor in replay is spectacular.

The reason NASCAR is popular is because of the close racing. There are so many racing leagues that quickly end up with a line of cars that just slowly spreads out. They establish a running order then run the rest of the race. NASCAR is exciting because of the close proximity of the cars with the constant changes in position. It is very competitive and that is why it is popular.

Anyway, my least favorite tracks are just the constant variations of the same track. A big fan of Laguna Seca. I think it just gets better with every version.

yea theyre close on the ovals but once they throw in them some tracks wit hcorners - sears point and the glen- the field is a little more spread out

I don't think I actually have a least-favourite, other than those gymkhana tests in the licenses. Opera bothers me (why couldn't we have the old Rome Night track in?!), but running it so often to get B-Spec Bob in front of the pack for the first DTM race, I have found my rythm there. Beginner Course is probably too basic, and Motorland's nice, if not as cool as the original GT2 version. Test Course is still the place to go for top-speed testing, but it's so boring otherwise. The Motegi speedway is great if you're in similar-performing cars.

As much as they used to bother me, I miss the Rome courses :(. Anyways, least-favourite course? Beginner Course it is, if that counts as a proper one.

(EDIT) While Laguna is now far more accurate with Turn 5 (or 6 if you want to count the front straight's slight curve) being a lot slower, it definitely has taken a bit of the flow out of the track. But, it's still a favourite for me, and it's given me real-life benefits with the CampusCup ;). Same comments apply to Grand Valley; they took a lot of fun out of one section and reprofiled the turns, which makes them a lot more unnatural and ruins the flow.

The track that is not to great in GT4 is SSR5, don't get me wrong it was awesome on GT3 for 2 player drift battles... But now it seems so bland and boring. :(

BTW: Grindlewald from GT2 should make a return in GT5, I think it's one of the best fictional tracks in the GT series. 👍

When first starting GT4 I realy hated the Ice Arena, Chamonix and Grand Canyon ralley. I simply wasn't able to get any car round those in a decent manner.
This week I started to complete the IA license on gold and now that I'm almost done with that I realy learned how to tackle those circuits, so I started to work on the special conditions races, for 200 A-spec pts that is, and I can do those now.
Bottomline is, I started to appreciate, like, and yes, even love those tracks.

My only hated track in any GT is Special Stage Route 11, in a normal street car it's alright, but get a heavily powered 'nervous' FR car there and it's just plain 🤬

oh man, i hate opera paris so much, i seriously cant stand that track, the corners are so retarded and awkwardly places that even bspec bob sucks on it.

i agree
i also hate hong kong

Here's a suggestion: Go to a track you hate in a car you like. Practice for an hour. You probably won't hate the track as much after that. I hated Hong Kong, Opera Paris, and New York at first, but with a bit of practice, that went away. With the exception of the Driving Park "tracks" I like all of the tracks in GT4. Some are just frustrating to learn, that's all.
