GT4 track you hate most

I hated SSR11 in GT3, even after years of playing there. So far, I don't hate ANY track in GT4.

Tsukuba I find tedious, despite its short length. Suzuka I find tedious, and it's much longer. Could they have made the final chicane any harder to see the path through?

Fuji 2005 I don't like because they not only destryed any flow the other versions have with a lot of awkward corners, but they left all the other tracks lying around it so it's very difficult to gauge where you're supposed to be going.

I like Paris and Hong Kong; I like the retouched SSR5; I like the retouched Deep Forest; I flat-out love Sears Point (Infineon), and I like the 'Ring, and I'll learn to love it after some more time there.

The Sarthe with the long straight is so great, for me it's nostalgic (been there in those days) and absolutely orgasmic.

And ffcourse the Ring.

Ever been to LE MANS pronounced LE MOOR. french for the race.

I am actually french and is the longest known straight on the face of the earth. Open to the public for most of the year.

So the 'ring and le mans are my hell fav tracks.

So ever been to 400km/h + in GT4. ?
 
The track I hate most is the Grand Canyon, followed closely by the Cathedral Roads (I think that's what they're called...the Yellowstone rallies). With GT4's totally incompetent dirt/gravel physics, their narrow roads and sharp bends are just a chore to drive.

After those comes the snow track (can't be bothered to remember the name of that one); even though it's a cool track, it's just not fun with GT4. Then comes any track with water, since GT4 has no idea what it's doing there, either, and then, finally, any of those tight "City" tracks.
 
I hate Infineon Raceway.

I agree with the post above, i have driven Nordschleife so much that i know it by heart and its pretty short when you're in the right car having the right amount of fun :)
 
The question now is - does hating the track make you a better driver or not?

You say you hate the track... but is it the track you hate or your inability to drive the track?

I felt this way before with Nurburgring Nordschleife... then until I completed the track... with a new outlook, I saw each one of them as a new challenge.

I don't think real race car drivers have much choice either... when they go to a series, do they go and say "I hate this track, let's go and skip it."

and i dont really have a least liked there are just some im not good at and my fav is a tie between costa di amalfia (reverse) or trial mountain
 
Whilst I'll be hard pressed to find a track I hate more then Grindlewald in GT2...I'd say Deep Forest...that or Seoul Central...probably the most pointless city track I've seen
 
i love city courses
i dont like rings cuz you only can turn to one side...
and.... for example in formula gt in motegi there are over than 100 laps...
that is booooring...
 
Okay, I'll admit - I pretty much suck at all three of the tracks I'll list here, but they do annoy me in ways that which I'm sure I'd hate them even if I was good at them.

Citti D'Aria - Three words: five second penalty.

Suzuka - I've had more last lap screwups here than any other track in the game by a long margin.

Opera V Paris - Hated it since the first time I drove it, and having raced there a number of times, I still hate it. Maybe it's the series of hairpins at the end of the track and the double-90 degree turn after the straightaway that bother me the most.
 
I personally hate Hong Kong. I always crash on the first hairpin.:ouch: But for some reason, I love Citti Di Aria.:confused:

I do love The 'Ring, however little I have truly mastered it, and El Capitan (pardon my "femininity") is truly gorgeous. I love the scenery. I mean, who honestly doesnt once in a while take a leisurely cruise?

Love Citta di Aria... Im sorry... I have weird taste, yes... Theres just some about the claustrophobic 6in-wide road that just gets me goin. Loved it since the first time i drove it with "the old man"
hate Suzuka. Mainly for the S-licenses... always had s license trouble... its a fair track, but the test just drives me nuts... I've nowhere near mastered the beauty of all GT4 has to offer.
 
When we got our kid a PS2 for Xmas this year, I picked up GT4 for myself for the hell of it. Bear in mind, prior to this, I've done about 10+ years of PC sim-racing and hadn't had a console or done any console racers... just never got around to it.
I'm at about 30% so far and I've found a a lot that I like and a lot that I'm not so wild about.
I loathe New York and Hong Kong. Never been a big fan of Infineon, really. I would've gone with Brands Hatch or Donington, personally. Suzuka's a very technical track and I generally do decent laps in F1's and GT-class cars, but the version in GT4's got some updates that still throw me off, mostly in the S-curve area. As much as I'm not a big fan of the track, I like the older version (even as recent as 2002)... flows better, imo. Personally, I wish they'd ditched Suzuka and gone with Spa. I use it as my testing/setup track because it's the one I'm most familiar with, as well as the fact that it's got a nice mix of turns for evaluating setups. I'd kill to get the 1967 and current version in GT4, actually.
Seattle's nice, especially considering that I live not too far from it. Gives it a nice boost to the fantasy factor.
Nurburgring... love it. Always have. I've done probably a couple thousand laps of it (on PC sims) in various cars/sims, from GPL to F1-2002/F1C to GTR and GTL and I've gotta say, this is probably the best-made version I've ever had the pleasure of driving. The only thing I'd change would be to bring back the old S/F straight/loop/straight that leads into where the new S/F is.
Laguna... not a bad track, but not one of my favorites.
Monaco/Cote d'Azure... I like the track, it's just that this version feels kinda wierd to me for some reason, like the scale's off or something.
Deep Forest, El Capitan, Grand Valley, Citta di Aria and Apricot Hill I'm totally enjoying.
The thing that really sucks is that, while I can use my PC wheel (red Logi WMFF), the way I have to set it up is retarded (beanbag in front of TV, two dining room chairs to either side with a board across the seats, wheel clamped to the board) and isn't very comfy for more than a few laps so it's not even worth the effort of setting up. Can't really afford a DFP so I'm just gonna either have to get used to the DS2 or figure out some other solution to the wheel problem.
If I could, in an ideal world, I'd mix the physics and moddability from the PC sims with the graphics/eyecandy and comparatively vast car selection of GT4.

It gets down to being able to tell when to start braking, or to have the track memorized. A track that has lots of slopes and valleys makes being able to tell when to brake very easy, while a track that has no hills at all is the worst.

It's a problem with the shortcomings of the game, and not with the tracks. If I was actually driving on a track like Suzuka, I could gauge the correct braking points much easier than the game allows. Suzuka is just straights and curves with no elevation changes. That's why I hate flat tracks like suzuka.

Because Nurb is meant to be like that, NY and HK are both city tracks and aren't really going to have break points built in, you just have to pick your own (EG a certain building or something behind the barrier) and adjust this depending on the result of your braking
 
I like Nürburgring, all the Japanese tracks, notice that Fuji 2005 is a very difficult track to master, but it is very funny xD

I don't like El capitan, all snow/ice/dirt tracks, and Hong Kong, New York, and that city courses.
