It takes some effort to screw up on a track with only two turns.
im talkin about formula gt. you got hot tires and loose controll just before you pit, you are screwed! this is the most unforgiving track in the game!

No dude, it's very forgiving.... All you have to do is.. GO LEFT!!!

Exactly :P. But that pit lane entrance is no more treacherous than any other track. I find Cote D' Azur to be one of the worst, actually, as it's easy to miss it entirely when I need it, and I have smashed into it a good number of times. Never had trouble on Super Speedway, though.

Suzuka; there are few cars (and no road cars) that can be pushed hard through the first series of chicanes without ending up in the sand, and because the track caters to motorcycles as well as cars, it's too narrow to overtake in certain places.

Oh boy, don't you just hate it when they hide the pits! Côte d'Azur is very easy to miss:dunce: Emmerdant, non! 🤬.

Usually I look for the pits in a practice round before the race and even practive entering at high speed. One time though, I forgot this and lost a race on Paris because I was searching for the pits... I felt sooooo stupid. :dunce:

I know where all the pits are on all the tracks, but on some tracks I can miss them in long enduros, and I tend to go extra laps than desired on some tire sets because I overlooked the pit entrance due to loss of concentration when racing long periods of time. I frequently zone-out, only to snap back to attention up to 3 laps later, with no idea how I got there and held my position during that time.

The worst tracks are the stupid dirt/snow/ice rallycross tracks that PD is trying to pass off as 'Rally Courses'. GT's off-pavement physics suck, and have always sucked. And so do these courses. Hopefully they'll be ditched for GT5.

In fact what I'd like to see is PD ditch all the fictional tracks for GT5. Give us some more variety in real courses (and stick to picking city courses which are actually used for races). For starters, I'd like to see Watkins Glen and Mosport. I'd also love to see them put in the Nurburgring GP course, and ideally add the pre-1971 Nordschleife and the long-abandoned south ring as well (25+ miles of Ring goodness, but tighter, rougher and more dangerous).

And since PD seems to have a need to justify putting all those Group B cars in, how about some nice pavement stages from the Group B era, they could through in some nice twisty mountain climb or descent courses as an addition. Not everything has to be in a circle, point-to-point can be a lot of fun. That would be far better than the crap they're doing for "Rally" courses now. If I want to drive in the dirt, I'll play CMR.

Out of tarmac, it would have to be Hong Kong (I can somewhat stand this course in reverse), but otherwise it would have to be the ice/snow tracks.

Yeah, I would like to see that track there too. The Real 24 Hours at the Nurburgring has both the GP Course and the Nordschleife combined.

Im not a fan of Night Paris track. If i totaled up the times i raced at that track (Minus the Licence tests at that track), it would be like 6 times, Comparing to Sears Point (sports car and Nascar course), where i raced that that track at least over 200 times.

Sigh...what he means is that if you have one spin-out it will cost you dearly, not that it is an especially difficult track. Not only does the spin kill you, but the fact that everyone else is always going at least 140-150 MPH means they make ground on you very quickly.

New York and Hong Kong are the worst, courses need curves, not just right angles! For some reason, Seoul, which is pretty much the same in that respect, doesn't bother me much though.

I think the major problem with Hong Kong and New York is that it doesn't capture the landscape well enough.

For instance, yes, New York is very 'grey' (buildings, roads and the like) but Polyphony have perhaps made the landscape 'too boring' and need to focus on what the Big Apple has to offer in another sense.

As for Hong Kong, I don't know, but there's something missing from it.

Hong Kong - it doesn't run between all the highrises, which is what Hong Kong is really about. Instead it runs on the small island off of Hong Kong which has mostly parks and stuff. That's why you can see all the highrises in the horizon.

They shuda made the HK track more Kowloon, its like Asian New York, but not the same... i cant explain it, youd have to actually walk miles thru HK like i did to understand. I got lost in HK, lol.

My least favourite two from every type of track and my rating out of 10 for them

City Courses

Hong Kong 2/10
Opera Paris 4/10

Grand Canyon 3/10

World Circuits

Suzuka West 5/10
Tsubuka Wet 4/10

there are no tracks that I really hate but some that i just dont like.

Fuji 2005. Herman Tilke strikes again and turns a half decent track into a sterile parking-lot.

Motegi- Its not that its a bad track by any means it just feels too long and dull.

Seoul- two long straights connected by some mickey mouse corners, ill pass.

I love suzuka, but in all honesty most of the real japanese tracks are good tracks, but simply in boring locations.

I love GV, and all the others.

one track that is really startingto melt my heart is Hong Kong. It contains a great sweeper, amazing colors and surroundings. I love doing laps on that track with the Formula 1 car. On that track it seems as though you could run 1000 laps and still get faster and faster each lap. The track seems to have alot of secrets and it is a real challenge.

infineon. way too many wrong slopes for such a short track. on half the circuit the visibility is so short that the course is essentially an exercise in blind driving.

I used to hate Sears Point so much, but after that C5R and Cien Driving Missions, I just love that track (Sports Car Course). It has a very good assortment of turns, which equals to great fun.

Anyhow, I still hate the Hong Kong City Course so much. I don't think I'll ever enjoy that course. So, another +1 vote for Hong Kong I suppose.

Flerbizky
Yearh - so far I've gotta go with Hong Kong too... 👎

[edit:] And Chamonix a close second.....

I love the Ring and El Capitan 👍

Great minds think alike?? :)
I would say the same as you, although I prefer El Capitan to Nurburgring, but only by a tiny bit!

I enjoy:
Both Le Sarthe tracks
Monaco (Cote de Azur) by the way, why isn't there more of this track in GT4?
Nurburgring
Both Sears Point tracks
High Speed Ring 1

I hate:
Suzuka
El Capitan
Tsubuka
Grand Canyon (on occasions)
Both Grand Valley tracks

On the topic of Hong Kong and Seoul: These tracks are boring overall, but driving slower cars makes them somewhat more enjoyable.

I'd say Hong Kong for my most hated. Closely followed by Grand Canyon and Cathedral Rocks I.

On the other hand my favourite tracks are Midfield, 'the Ring' and Motegi - Road Course.

The Fuji tracks are also annoying. Whats the poinnt of having 4 versions of the same track where the only differences between 2 are about 50 metres of road:dunce:

My worst;

Infineon (both)
Hong Kong
Suzuka
Opera Paris and George
Any ice or snow track (esp. Chamonix)
Any dirt track
Twin Ring Motegi Super Speedway
Any Test Course Track
Citta de Aria

My favs;

Nurburghring (Ill shoot anyone that hates it)
Circuit de la Sarthe I and II (same)
Tokyo R249
Seattle
Korea
Laguna Seca
Costa di Amalfi
Cote de Azur (Monaco F1 track for those in confusion)
Autumn Ring (both)
Tskuba
