What in blue blazes...

Do I like pink ferraris? Yes, because it would be a ferrari, but I would obviously prefer a black or red one. In the words of Jack "I wanted to destroy something beautiful". LancerEvo, chill, he was obviously just messing about.

Do you own a gamecube and PS2 and Xbox

Well my sister owns a GC, and I play on that. The GC is a racing game non starter, I agree.

every picture of Forza I have seen on this page has made me laugh out loud

Me thinks you should Dl the porsche video, then tell me that the cars on forza float...it's as crazy as saying the ones in Gt4 do.

Errrr, they do.

That's one of the flaws of every computer racing game to date - the tracks and cars are separate objects and in viewing a replay you can clearly distinguish the textures of one from the textures of the other. There's always a level of dissociation - although not to the point of that hilarious Golf with Viper Stripes halfway up this page.

That's obvious, but even so, it's not quite to the point of utter hilarity that you seem to be suggesting. From what I can tell, from the demo and recent vids, it seems fine. It is a little odd in some of the pictures where the shadows are clearly pretty pants.

Meh, I was simply saying that you should wait to play it or watch more vids of the final build before you turn your nose up.

Unless you rather enjoy that kind of thing. If so, carry on. And if it just so happens that the game is actually great, you'd have to sit in the corner feeling silly, because you're too elite to play a game with shadows that are a bit off.

I don't know about you, but to some people doing ANYTHING to a ferrari would be "ruining" a good thing, but that didn't stop the owner of the Enzo that put new rims installed on his car. Not Ferrari rims, and it was done by...WEST COAST CUSTOMS. It's still a beautiful car, some cars are alright to be modified, hell if I had that kind of money i'd probably do something stupid and gaudy aswell, it's just another "pointless money burner" i'm prone to have so many of. But other than that, GT3 was a great game. Yes I said something good about the GT franchise. Actually I love the GT franchise I just don't like GT4.
Gt3 made leaps and bounds while Gt4 made hops and skips.

As for "dynamic shadows" If you want to see an AMAZING demonstration of the shadows, on another website there's a video clip of a CTS-VR going around a "nascar like" track at night, and every single track light casted a shadow of the car and every shadow ran with the car, it looked rediculous and gave one of the best 3rd person sensations of speed i've seen in a game in a while.

For some people they look at ferrari as more than a car that looks really cool, with some pretty rare, expensive and gorgeous cars. They worship em as art by God almost. If you wanna add your own personal touch to a car or change the performance to your liking i think thats ok. as long as your likes dont include extreme rice

btw drifster, did you see that Corvette that had a Nitrous Hickup?? :scared: that was such a sad sight, but a little funny in a sick way.

yeah I saw it...It's the most hilarious video i've seen in a while. PS, if someone had a video of kids flipping the smart car, i'm sure that would be my #2 fav video.

(sorry to anyone on-topic currently. My presence in this thread can be explained away nicely. However, for the time being, every picture of Forza I have seen on this page has made me laugh out loud - especially the Bentley and the Supras. Are the cars supposed to be ON the track or hovering an inch above it?)[/color]

that's what I was talking about.

Have watched all the videoa available, and awaiting the game these days. So, what I have noticed so far:

• Nurb is very wide, very unproportional and very beautiful in the same time. It has crowds, cars and vans around the track, propper positioning of the trees and side-objects, but it is heavily messed-up in dimensions of the track. Why? I guess pretty deliberately - reason called online. As they've stated FM has +1000 boards, and they expect millions of players, making Nurb real would just kill down all those newbie-birds. But, it speks enough about realism, which also leads us to

•*Road Atlanta, which is also wider then real RA and it looks pretty dull. Infact, all the tracks I've seen so far looks dull - even the cliche mountain track settled in Alps - but with the exception of the:

• New York City Track, located in the surroundings very same 5th Avenue where the GT4's NY is settled, and it looks none less then gorgeuos. The advanced lightning of Xbox takes full advantage there, making it one of the most fascinanting virtual tracks I've ever seen. Video available on IGN's insider, and it is funny to watch the same buildings as seen in GT in sunset setting,

• love the sound of the clutch / shifting. Good job done there,

• don't like the "digital" behaviour of the wheels while turning,

•*and famous "floating effect" seems unavoiding in FM, where Famine has all the rights in his statements. Everything looks very "soft" and IMHO I don't like it.

Yes, I noticed the same thing about Forza's Nurburgring... the cars seem very small (almost like a radio controlled car). Don't get me wrong, the cars, the track, and everything looks nice, but the proportion seems way off.

For example, some of the the rumble strips at Nurb is about 1/3 the height of the car, and about 1/2 the width of the car. Also, it looks like you can fit 5 cars along the width of the track with room to spare.

As I said, it is beautiful, but the proportion looks very odd. Does anyone else notice the same thing?

And the proof for this is: taraaaaaa.... (sorry for bad quaility, but you'll get the idea)

That's what I noticed when I first saw a video of the Nurburgring Nordschleife

Front it's obviousl...look at that second pic

Look at that....It's like 3 pixels off...Dude X box sucks now, forget this crap (hates microsoft forever and breaks his Green machine)

You know, even if you were right and he's wrong, it doesn't give you the right to be an ass.

I'd hardly say I am being an ass. it's just rather annoying, people talking crap and having nothing but one blurry image to backup his "facts". I have provided 2 excellent images to disprove his "facts" and I think I succeeded.

Blimey, just watched first vid. BLIMEY! A VERY pretty game indeed. Love it on the last corner when the front wheels lock for just a split second :D

Watched em all now.

Those vids are pretty damn sweet, and TBH it may even be better then Gt4 judging by those vids.

Well from what I've read, since everyone oo's and ahh's about GT's physics, I've read quite a bit on it. And the sheer #'s that forza's got going through it at every second as part of it's physics engines kinda dissproves GT's physics being superior, but then again we'll find out for ourselves.

In the first video with the lock up...

The outside front wheel locked up, the outside wheel will almost never lock up, thats incorrect, its always the inside front wheel, also if the outside front wheel locked up, the car couldnt turn, but it did.

I know im nit picking but thats not helping the games stock in my eyes, I'll give it the fact that it does look very good, and the skidmarks are all I want in GT.

Just for the record - I have much hype about the Forza, and I guess I'll spend lots of time playing it. Very good job has been done there, and I guess the final product will be good as good can be, in terms of the first game in the series. Now, the Master of Puppets :).

Watch your words Front.

I never talk bull.

The Nurb in Forza is even beyond "wider then in real life". Replay shots I've attached proves that. And please, do not beleive everything PR that you see / read, most of it is a bullcrap.

And sustain for calling people muppets without knowing what they know.

Now pics.

• pictures 1 to 4 are showing very realistic proportions of the cars, side bumpers and track itself, obviousely made by someone with long history of addiciton to mescalin,
• picture 5 shows very realistic approach to 2nd gear turn after the hillclimb in first part of the track (Adenauer Forst), please do not even look to proportions of the side bumper and the car - it's irrelevant,
• picture 6 shows exusite attention to detail in modelling this lovely radio-controlled model on big, evil and very realistic track of Nurburgring (notice the realistic proportions of the bridge on the end of the main straight, and do not forget that long-term addicition to mescalin often draws people to state of paranoia and claustrophobia. Same has obviousely happend to this poor unnamed artist-fellow, who got afraid of the big concrete object above the car, which looked like it's going to crash on the car in real-life footage. So, he decided to make that bridge much bigger to avoid the feeling of claustrophobia, and he finally could fell asleep),
• pictures 7 to 9 are examples of another excellent job in proprotion-drawing, track-modelling and realistic approach to almost everything, blah, blah.

Eenough of my time being wasted :).
