Nice. I don't really like cities but Seattle is OK and the slicks carrying oldtimer racer is cool. So on from the Yosemite rock to the West coast - geographically not too far apart i believe?

First splits coming up in an hour or so :) & well done again Jerry - hope you get well soon!

Awesome selection Jerry! 👍 I am going to give this one my all :mischievous:

Back with my first splits in 6 hours or so, once I get home. :dopey:

Kevin

This combo looks like a blast! Talk about something different. I'm sure this will result in a big spread between the top and bottom of each division, however, as this is a car that drives a little funny and takes some time to learn. I'll try it this evening when I'm home.

I think I'm going to be sick!! :ill:

Of all weeks to have only 2 days to run laps. I have to pick this week to go to Ohio for a visit!!:grumpy:

A great American classic on a very nice street circuit. Looks like I'll be burning the mid-night oil for the next 2 days.:scared: Move over MrP and put on the coffee pot, it's going to be long 2 days.

Nice combo Jerry:tup:👍

I know I've been a little sleepless lately. :indiff:
Looks like a good combo, it'll be good for me to run this track as I haven't been on it in a while. :)

I find that with the NTSC game the Chevrolet Corvette Coupe (C2) '63 is in the By Manufacturer and this weeks Z06 in the By Era area if anyone has trouble finding it.

Just ran a couple scouting runs with the ds2 AND TCS

Used to run 2-player with this particular combo a lot early in the GT4 days. Hope the practice helped, I've been slow lately. Good looking combo, thanks Sphinx.

Nice one Jerry 👍 funny thing, while waiting for the 150 results I cued up the 69 gt40 at seattle rev to mimic a license test from gt3.

I'll throw out my first clean lap to get it started.....

28.043 / 1'07.512

Polarity.

Ive got a feeling this week is all about stopping.

For those of you who may struggle to begin with, here are VEXD's obvious statements:

This car does not steer under braking, release the brake pedal and apply throttle to pivot.

Your first braking point is very hard to judge, but (using 300 gearing) there are some traffic lights facing away from you on the main straight, 3 i think, which appear black due to the shadow, hanging above your head. Brake for turn 1, just before you pass under them. 👍

2nd gear will pivot the car very well, but the gas cannot be stamped on (again 300 gearing) so shift to 3rd early and floor it for a nice exit.

Kiddie-cam will help a lot this week.

Once you've done one or two laps, stop driving, and i mean 3 or 4 mins into your first session, and watch your replay. This car is 719BHP, and the speed you are achieving on some of the faster sections is immense. Stopping the car is much more important than getting it to go. Its therefore IMHO a good idea to watch your replay and get an idea of the physics involved.

Good luck all.

Week 151 Race Specifics:

Just stay off the walls.

Yeah, [/SARCASM] eh Jerry? :sly:

T1: 27.828
T2: 1'06.958 :ouch:

Bring your patience, the laps fly by cos its so addictive, but the clean ones are few and far between.

No more obviousness from me....
:irked:👍

Badass. The one day extension should help me out as well. Don't know when I'll have the time, but hopefully I'll get more than one stint in!

Some splits to start, and I'm losing a boatload of time in this whale. :)

T1 - 28.056 (this was an awful T1; I've gotten 27.7xx)
T2 - 1:07.277 (okay considering the T1, but still lots of time to be found here)
Made up a lot of time in the last section.

Gearing 300 (again). Wheelspin is hard to control in this thing!

EDIT: Getting the hang of it, although I lost a couple tenths tiptoeing between the bottom of the hill and T2, not getting the weight transfer that works so well there. The car fits the track perfectly! Yet another excellent combo, Jerry.

T1 - 27.618 :)
T2 - 1:06.494

Once holl01 steps in here and runs 1:04s or something, we're all going to be blown out of the water.

I love this track nice one jerry like the touch.

Aint been on this track for a while but shouldnt be to hard to get back in the swing of things Am i ment to be driving the car because its driving me lol

ok best splits so far and first D2 splits i think :S

T1 27.872
T2 1.07.997

QUIK!

I remember that one well, and that is another car that suits this track nicely. 👍

Figured I would put the first D3 splits on the board -

28.777
1:09.229

This is one of my all time favorite combos, I will be putting in the churns on this one for sure!

board init EDIT update up to post 16

EDIT first t's after a 15 lap stint: 28.998 - 1.10.540 // 28.865 - 1.10.336

VERY much helped by VEXD's tips. Also hugely satisfying to drive on the gas, at the apex, thru every corner. Great combo to learn racing lines thru tight city curves 👍 If only this car's suspension would be a bit more firm and a little less boaty

Those coils are real strange because when you hit a rumble strip you get sky-rocketed, while landing makes you seasick. maybe it's set to firm coil/supersoft recoil???

Glad my ramblings helped someone.

Its probably all i'll say about this week.

Apart from; some great Div.2 times coming through already, so keep it up guys! you're obviously getting the hang of that 'vette quicker than i did.

:irked:👍

This will be a very frustrating week for me. Don't think i'll be running many clean laps but i'll look at it as a challenge :)

First splits:
T1: 28.476
T2: 1.09.364

First splits, using 300 top speed.

28.431
1'08.656

At least the car doesn't have uncontrollable wheel spin. I had a big grin on my face for the first couple laps.

I'm sure someone will fix Andy's times, I think those are last weeks splits currently in Luxy.

Yes, they certainly are. But I'm pretty sure he's enjoying this ego-trip while it lasts :dopey:

Yep, and you gave me Andy's times! I forgive you though, last week was hard.

First clean banker has these splits .. 27.226 / 1'06.011

The lap above is pretty reasonable up to T1 and can see another .2 roughly .. but after thats it's sloppy due to loads of badly taken bends and being late on the braking :ouch:
I know there's a good second hanging around the track with some better braking points 👍

I certainly wont be any threat to the top runners though as Seattle aint one of my better locations! .. but I'm sure it will be an interesting week adjusting to this car anyway

Cool combo! .. I'll be back :)

sorry mates :embarrassed::embarrassed::embarrassed: but also  about andy's t's - fixed and board updated

Sorry Steven, it's still not completely fixed. These are my times:

I want to see my name right behind Mr P for once! ;)

Oh man its on! We do this combo at the seattle lan sometimes 👍 truly great! I might have to take a break from COD4, haha.

Jerome

Hehe, did someone took a screenshot, I didn't see my beautiful splits on the board :P

Don't want to complain but Austin's splits are still the same as mine :P

Jerome
You MIGHT?!? have to take a break? You lazy bum. Get off you azz, try and give me some competition, and fix the luxy leaderboard while you're at it. :P

First session on this combo. It's not really my favorite track, and if I'm honest, I'm not really hot on the car either, so it'll be a though week for me!

First splits (290 gearing, TCS ON)
28.522
1'08.432

This car really really sucks for a race car. The brakes suck, the suspension sucks.

This thing is a handful to drive fast.
