T2 1:18.429
T6 3:41.098
T10 6:16.331

I don't know about 6'11
I was thinking more like
1:17.xxx
3:39.xxx
6:12.xxx-6:13.xxx

although im a bad judge of estimating T8-T10 since I don't like pushing it to the limit there and ruining a good lap

Holy flippin' crap. I'll be back in an hour... :D

Edit: Have a time in, now. Not exactly breath-taking, yet withing reach of the faster bunch..

T2: 1'21.480
T6: 3'48.790
T10: 6'29.269

First proper splits:

T2: 1'20.346
T6: 3'45.248
T10: 6'24.189

Very conservative on the second half of the lap. I'm looking to take probably 10 seconds off my total time if I get everything right.

I actually quite enjoy this car, it's much more suited to the 'ring than the Abt Audi was.

Loving this car, sooo much fun on this track, don't know how people are calling it "heavy", hell the jag last week understeered way more than this. First clean splits:

T2 - 1:19.047
T6 - 3:42.828
T10 - 6:22.401 👎

Power slid through Kallenhard after getting two wheels on the grass, otherwise pretty happy with the run up to T6. After that I pussed out from Hohe Acht on just to run a clean lap, was WAY too careful. Hopefully I can grow some balls and try to push that last half of the track. Should be able to knock off another 5-7 seconds hopefully.

Car = Great
Track = Great
Combo = Great
Me = 🤬

Nah, it really is a great combo, and like I *think* minorshunt said, I just really suck here. I'm gonna be litterally keepin up with D3 on this one :scared: LOL. But on the bright side, it can only get better, believe me.

T2 - 1:19.919
T6 - 3:44.350
T10 - 6:23.348

Yup, the T time right at the beginning of the Dottinger-Hohe straignt. Very dirty, many offs, probably a full stop in there somewhere. But 30 seconds! <sigh...>

I'll keep at it and maybe once I remember that "that was the way to the OLD house", I'll keep all four (or at least two) on the black stuff and finish with a decent time.

-SHig
Don't sweat it dude, once you start getting used to the car and track together and that you stay on track, even if you're not pushing at 100% you'll drop that T10 time by a good 15-20 seconds.

MinorShunt
Once I get to about sector 6 it all falls apart. Every time! :yuck:
Could it be that this corresponds almost exactly to my 4 minute average attention span? 💡

what you will have to do is race for about 3 and a half minutes, get up and walk away, and then come back to it again... :sly:

Ok, after 4 days just playing GTR and GP4 im back to GT. Did a 1.5 hour warmup and first testing on this wrs. My ultimate limit is probably 1 second further, maybe 1.5.

T2 - 1'17.784 (best 17.4)
T6 - 3'39.647
T10 - 6'13.641

THeres alot more to come yet, i will be improving it by tomorrow.

Hi,

had a long session on wrs and managed a time that i'll probably submit, lost from T6 to t9 as i got a bit nervous but came home pretty good

1'17.377
3'38.231
6'11.265

Disgusting.

How dare you two give us splits like that to warn us off.

no seriously, theyre disgusting.

I did one clean lap last nite, after maybe 10 attempts, then i went to bed.

T10: 6'19.770

I thought i'd done well.

I knew the minute barrier was there, but i wasnt expecting the Fearless drivers to smash the bleeder!

Why not? i ask myself, they usually do.

:grumpy:

Anyway, i spose ill have to settle for top ten, and try to go quicker this week.
:irked:👍
Well done veil and Holl...... where's hot?

:sly: hehe

that´s why i thought of a 6´11... might be out of reach, but they always get there...
things getting ugly for me judging by the splits i´m seeing now :scared:

Man, I'm still struggling to get a clean lap. The furthest I've gotten was right before T7. Not to mention that I'm way off pace from everybody.

So far my best:
T1: 1:21.6xx
T6: 3:51.xxx
T10: haven't got there yet :banghead:
T12: wonder if I'll ever get there :scared:

New splits:
1'19.089
3'42.437
6'18.847

Still not reaching my potential here.:grumpy: If it wasn't for all those turns I could do a lot better.:)

shockwaveracing
even stock around this track this car is lovely... having had to do this combo (on another forum) but that was stock at the time... if i remember correctly i managed something like a 7:24 STOCK around here so i am expecting people to be under 7 minutes this week...

...if anyone gets a sub 7min time....and are a DIV 3 driver...I'll let you know right now that I'll  to them and give them their Props!
(american slang for Respect)

As for you Div2 & Div1 drivers..I'm already assuming this barrier will be broken! So, please..don't dissapoint me ok! :D

this barrier has been broken by me, and i suppose for holl also. But there´s much i can improve at least yet, holl probably did the time i will be doing, so its gonna be a nice competition.

Like I said...I EXPECT you Div1 drivers to do just that..so you or holl doing it is no surprise! :D ... though it does give me motiviation to see just how low I can
take my own time(s).

Well well well... I managed a clean lap on my second lap this morning, and now I can't seem to put down a clean run anymore! Blah. I had one that was a good 5 seconds ahead of my clean one, and it was going well, staying clean, might've had one very minor third wheel off, MIGHT have, and then later in the track, it just seemed like the front end lost traction because of some bump that I don't know about in the particular line I was taking, and the car went wide and off... waaaaaaaaaaah. I'll get my splits in here as soon as I beat that 5 second faster dirty lap, because my other splits are, uhm, too near the bottom of the leaderboard for my liking...

Hey Koly, does Bobkart ever race in the WRS? He sent me a photo of his 5 station setup, what a trip, wish I lived in your area, I'd love to go to Bobkarts with ya!

I don't think he has raced here, because he tends to race over at GTTimes (where Jerome, Jump_Ace is originally from).

Would love to have you up here for the Lan, too ... maybe one day you can take a small vacation ;)

Not that I'm a traitor or anything. Its just that GTTimes.com has so little going on besides the greatest racing experience known to man every few months!

Slowly, Slowly, and ever so slowly, I'm starting to come to terms with this appropriately named Green Hell. :yuck:

T2 is consistently in the 1'18.6-7 range, T4 is ok, and T6 is semi-respectable (for me) in the 3'42.5 range with a best being at 3'41.2. Even T6-T7 has shaped up now. But I'm still losing 2 seconds from T7 to T8, 1 second from T8 to T9, and a whopping 2 seconds from T9 to T10! It's hard to believe that such a small chunk of real estate could cause such problems! I think that a person just needs to learn the tricks of all the off camber combos, blind uphill approaches, jumps, etc. thru that section to be able to drive it more naturally aggressive, and have the confidence to give 'er! It will take some work...... :mischievous:

But at least I've been able to identify my shortcomings. Props to Small Fryz for posting his complete splits a couple days back. 👍 :) That has been a great help for me to use as a sector by sector comparison!
Thanks Mate!

So I guess the thing is......now is the time for me to learn this track, and come to terms with it. For christs sake it's just turns and straights after all! :ill:

Oh.....@ SHig. I got my first clean one last night bud! It's slow, but a great relief, it's in the bag so I can submit! :)

ONWARD!

nuerburg.gif

here's a map if anyone was wondering about corner names.

and is is possible to take that left hander @ klostertal wide open?
any time i've tried i just fly off an hit the wall... fastest i've been able to do was ~115mph or so.

Hey all,

I finally hit a clean lap. 👍

Fittingly, my first clean lap is my fastest (since anything dirty ends up being slower for me).

5'18.9 T10

Not great and it still has time for me to shave off.

Back again when I get the chance to race some more,
till then,

Oh yeah!

Got the jet pack on the DB9, don't you all?

Sorry about that, please disregard it or simply fill in the obvious error.

6'18.9 T10

Also, that's with a T2 of something like 1'18.9
However, I just ran a few more laps and saw a 1'18.2 👍

Hoping to capatalize on one of those but in the mean time I will take the clean lap I've already completed.

Back later when I've run another clean lap.
Till then,

Hi people,

here are all the splits of the lap i did yesterday

T1 43.685
T2 1'17.377
T3 1'45.027
T4 2'34.517
T5 3'11.814
T6 3'38.231
T7 4'26.785
T8 5'08.681 (lost .4 here :indiff: )
T9 5'29.982
T10 6'11.265
T11 6'33.737

=6'5x.x54 :)

Now i'll just give a quick corner by corner lap description of how i did the lap

start-T1

brake a smidge b4 the apex on right, down to second, and u should drop down to 49mph (yes, i somehow was driving in mph and i didnt even notice) take it smoothly, trying to hit the inside apex.

left foot brake the next, taking it at 110.

then brake a bit as u approach the chickane, ease off then, brake and induce a slight drift as u take the right part in 2nd.

move over to the right then really make this next chickane as straight as possible, initially going over the left at full pace, then slightly left footing at about 95, as u cut over the grass, then u may wanna induce a drift, but its safer to take the left at about 75.

approach the next, and brake down to 69 and down to 2nd, and really accelerate through (dont cut the first right, but cut the next as u change to third for the short straight.

T1 passed, anything in 43 range is good.

T1-T2

go over the little rise, and brake immediately as u land, take the corner at 120 initially (inducing slight drift on approach, but smooth on exit).

the fast left, its wise to just left foot brake down to about 143 for stability (when i say left foot brake, i mean ur on full gas when ur applying the brakes).

start braking a few car lenghts after the apex on the left, now its down to about 55 for the long slow right, making sure of getting smooth exit speed as u pass T2.

T2-T3

for this section, it does require a bit off guts, its probably the toughest section of the nurb; brake down to 125, and take the left in 4th, making sure to get a decent angle in for the right, which can be drifted slightly in 2nd at 85ish, stay in 2nd, and brake for the slow corners, initially at 52 for the right, then left foot brake the following right, avoid grass here as it can unstabalise the car, taking it at a slow 50, as u pass t3.

T3-T4

left foot brake the next, taking it at 115, then brake in 2nd, taking the next left at 69. brake down to second for the next right, and take it at 53.

u cant take the fast chickane at full pace, so i just let off the gas momentarily, and then induce a slight drift at about 110, then try and stabalise the car and head over to the right for the long sweeping right, braje down to a hundred and just tap the gas a bit as u go around it.

now brake well b4 the apex on right, then just ease off, then brake down to about 49ish for the slow right. pass T4.

T4-T5

take the next in 2nd at 72, then stay in third for the next right as u get better exit speed- left foot brake this one at about 75ish.

take the next right at 2nd, possibly third is better but i used 2nd, at 65. and T5 passed.

T5-T6

brake well b4 the corner, and take it at 118 (in 4th). and pass T6.

T6-T7

left foot brake it a tad, as u take the very fast right at 137. then brake 1.5 car lenghts b4 the apex on the left, and take the slow right at 46. then brake down to second for the stupid carouseel, initially just gliding it at 45, then start to accelerate as it comes to an end.

brake 2 car lenghts b4 the apex on right for the chickane, take the initially left in 3rd at 93ish, then left foot brake the next at a similar speed also. take the next right in 2nd at 73. and pass T7.

T7-T8

left foot brake then fast right at 110, then the same for the next left at 98, then again at 98 as u hopefully dont push it too much on the exit. take the next right in 2nd at 84, then again for the sweeping left at 74, and again for the next right at 72, and again for the next. then in 2nd for the left as u pass over T8.

T8-T9

brake a bit b4 the dip, and take the doble right at 93 initially (i messed this corner up totally)

full gas untill u approach the fast corners section, initially left foot it at 136 for the right, then pass over T9 (in the lap i did, i almost ran off here, it was so close to being dirty, pretty much as close as it comes)

T9-T10

take the right at 107, then take the left in 2nd at 73, then for the next caroussel, brake down to 60, and stick to inside, then the next right can be left foot braked at 99, and again at 105 for the sweeping right, as u make ur way on the long staright. pass T10

T10-T11

drive in a straight line.

T11-T12

this section requires half application of brakes whilst on full gas, for stability purposes, as u try and stabalise the car at speeds of 170, as u pass over the right, go down to 4th at 160, then barake 3-4 car lenghts b4 the apex on left, its a bit of a hit and miss affair as to weather u get the braking right here, but if u do, take it in 2nd at 59, then the last corner, take it at 55 and then thats it.

T10 – 6:34.171

Not good but oh well. I was on a lap 2.5 seconds faster but I spun after about 5 minutes. :grumpy: If only I had a table I wouldn’t be using this damn DS2!
