Well the only car I tried is the only one I could buy :indiff: But so far it hasn't proven me wrong yet; the Honda S2000 Type-V '01 đź‘Ť I like my settings, although this week I hardly touched them, heck I spent 2 hours racing and 1.5 hours tuning (and wasting my time) I sent back to my original settings I did in like 20 min lol. Thats life, eh?

Honda S2000 Type-V '00

28.370 (Best 28.150)
1.00.919 Only see 1.00.5 possible for me on T2

Finished up nicely but I'm usually off on all Deep Forest tests so maybe off near a second from what the top people will post up.

EDIT: Anyone else missing some avatars and signatures today? O well. LB Updated

OK, the good news is that I was finally able to upgrade the forums after some tinkering. While I upgrade the rest of the site, I have decided to open the forums back up again with the old style. You WILL notice many things are missing, including avatars, and some features may be broken. This is occuring because these "templates", which display everything, are now very different from the underlying structure of the forum. The templates were never meant to work with this code, and they don't do so very well. As soon as I get the rest of the site ready, I will move our new style (which is created for the new forum software) here.

If anyone has problems or anything, please refer them to this post. I will only try to fix something that prevents you from accessing or posting to the forums.
......FYI

Yep, I don't see any avatars either, and this text input thinggy looks weird right now.
EDIT: Just noticed there are no sigs... was looking for a link to the leaderboard heh.

BTW Jerome, which car you usin? Which is the best of the four? I would like (I hope) to be competitive this week on a track I like very much.

There

Edit :
Merde. One minute too late :D

THanks for the info Jump... I'll give it a shot....
New splits... my t1 fell off to a 29.447 but the t-2 jumped to a 1'03.164 I need to get a lil mor consistant here:lol:

first time seeing these competitions... i'm interested. so we can do any modifications as in suspension, transmission, weight reduction, brakes, etc.?

just except turbo, N/A kits, and spoilers... and use normal tires offcourse, and stay below 285hp

Concerning the engine upgrades, only the NA is forbidden (and NOS too).
Racing chip, engine balance and port polish are OK.

BTW, take a look at the sticky threads : you'll need to run the Qualifier race if you want to submit a time this week.
You can run both races this week and PM me both your times next tuesday before deadline.
Welcome to the WRS. đź‘Ť

My best time so far is.

T1: 0'28.925
T2: 1'02.424

I had a slightly better time than that, but didn't save the replay.

The car I used was a yellow Honda S2000 Type-V '01 (it had done about 15k miles).

Hey Jack, um I tried to send u a pm, but you box is full.....:indiff: I"m plannin' on comin' to Antelope in May/June-ish sometime to race with SHig and SRD is he is free, my uncle lives in Antelope so I thought we could meet up and head over to SHig's for a day...interested?

EDIT: LB Updated, lunch is over now.

My new splits:
T1: 0'28.801 - best: 0'28.3XX
T2: 1'01.350 - best: 1'00.8XX

Those 'best' splits were on the same lap, but as always I messed it at the last part.

I've seen some very good time out there:tup:

This sucks, I can't find a single used S2000 in the used car lots. I guess I'll have to refresh the car lots by making some days pass sigh...

This car is hard to keep from drifting all over the place i need to mess with the settings a lilttle more i might get a chance to get on there to night if not in the moring.......working 3rd shift sux

Tonight I used again my fabulous settings technique :
  • session 1 (20-30 laps) : start with settings someone posted and mess up with them until the car is totally undriveable,
  • session 2 : restore default settings then remove driving aids and LSD.
Usually on lap 2 of the second session I run my best T1, my best T2 and my best lap.
28.9 / 1'02.1 so far.

Still crap and probably dirty on the exit of the last curve, as usual, but it seems I can never have this turn clean when the rest of the lap is.

oh oh! Pick Pick me Duck, I'm curious to know too!

EDIT: Well I spent an hour in the S2000 '99 model and got a T2 of 1:00.816, I won't post it on the leaderboard as the last section was a little slow (as well as the overall time) but to who asked earlier, I say they prolly are all the same. IMO of course.

Oh, but I did play with the settings again. They didn't really help me improve my time yet, but it feels smooth...or it could be T1 is coming together anyway here's what I got with the 1:00.816 T2:

Spring Rate: 7.0/6.0
Ride Height: 90/95
Shocks: Stock
Camber Angle: 2.5/1.5
Toe Angle: 1/-1
Stabilizers: 5/4
LSD: No LSD installed, so looks like I was wrong before about it being better with it installed, doesn't seem to make too much diff from what I can see.
Brakes: 10/10
No Aids
Tranny: Still Auto 9, Final at 4.000

Been trying this a bit during the commercials of the football game and so far I've got 28.3/1'00.5. Hoping for another half a second at least.

Way to drop in and take charge Ben! I"ll update the LB in a sec đź‘Ť

Does that toe seem to help you out Jerome? I've never really used it in GT4 at all. Try the racing suspension if you get a chance, thats what I've been using đź‘Ť

T1: 28.422 (28.3)
T2: 1'00.983 (1'00.7)

little disappointed with my final sector, must have dropped 0.5 through there i reckon... was still my fastest lap so i am happy...

Second, I tried something new; I upped the LSD Deceleration thingy to level 10. So if I'm thinking right, it will help slow down the car faster and I can start to brake just a *touch* later. So now my LSD settings are at 5/5/10 (although I dunno if it really helped a lot)
Upping the Decel like that should reduce your "lift-throttle" and "braking induced" oversteer... Not a bad idea with some setups. When I first started I was using 5/10/10 after the initial 5/5/5 try out.

Anywho, probably driven for a good hour and fifteen or so. Letting Pat do some laps here and there. Don't have a fast clean one yet, but I'm down to almost consistent 28.3-28.5 T1s, and when I do it right, 1'01.0xx T2s...

Took last week off, not really because I wanted to, but just because I was busy with other stuff, and for some reason also wanted to get more of the game done.(oh, that and Pat kept doing the Nurb. 24hr trying to get the Orange F1 car, lol) I'm at 71% now and B-spec Bobby has been whittled to a 8334 skill level(97/83/82). This week I want to put some time into though, even if my hands/wrists are killing me from going Karting too much these past couple of weeks... :dunce:

Happy New Year all!

Great splits out there guys! Good night! LB Updated

i know i saw that... but i hate the track we have to qualify on so i guess my time is gonna be low.

i've never really done the deep forest before, so i bought a s2000 and the max hp i could get was 283 without passing 285 because my car came with 10km. with the 283hp i've been getting high T1 28's, low 29's and low 1.03's for T2. the car drifts too much. i'll think about 'joining', maybe next week or so

Well I have a new lap and it is much faster than I was hoping to get:

T1: 0'28.870
T2: 1'01.233
Finish: 1'xx.xx7

This includes another scorching finish and I beat my old lap by 0.5 when I was hoping for maybe 0.2 It is highly unlikely I'll beat this lap.

Very happy đź‘Ť

đź‘Ť Div 2 seems to be hotting up nicely. New 'milestone' splits for me too:

T1 - 0'28.606
T2 - 1'00.888

I've managed to reach my goal for this week with these so i'm gonna leave it alone for now. I might give it another crack towards the end of the week depending on how competitive it looks by then.

Those are some very neat splits man...I've never even come close to that T2 so I think you've definitely got me đź‘Ť

30.523/107.034......I still can drop a sec or two but keep screwing up on the first corner...its tricky :nervous:

Yeah that first corner is a tricky one. You need to find your brake point (if in doubt, do it early) and I coast around the apex for a little bit. The key is to try and get no tyre squeal on your exit...in fact that is the key to the whole race in my opinion.

Actually I'm much faster there when I miss the apex. Instead I brake too late to almost reach the grass on the outside, point the car towards the exit as soon as possible and hit the gas. I found out that I lose much more time if I have to coast around the apex and stay easy on the throttle.

That's why you gotta love GT racing, there's more than one way to skin a cat :)

That's what I'm doing too. Saved about .200 so far just by doing that.

I'll post my settings when I'm finished with majorly messing with them (which should be finished today).
