Hmmm... getting 'no file' from the alternative link and have downloaded the ZIP on three different computers (2 PC, one Mac) each time differing the browser.

I can open the ZIP okay, but I'm getting an extenionless file. When I add the extension (on the PCs, natch), Excel dies trying to open the file :D

When I force Excel to open it on the Mac it dies too. Head > desk > head > desk...

I recently moved my host. I'll put a file back on the alternate link ASAP.

Sorry about that.

Famine-

Was hoping you might have time to double check a couple of entries for me. Specifically the Mazda RX-7 Type R (FD) '98, and the similarly named Mazda RX-7 Type RZ (FD) '98. I can't find either car in Tornado Alley's compiled UCDs, nor in the official GT5 Car List, nor on several other GT5 Car sites. Since there are a number of other similar RX-7s, I'm wondering if they might have been a typo? If it helps, they're on rows 495 and 507 of your spreadsheet.

Thanks,

e.

Im sure its in the Dealership( not the UCD) but its gonna be expensive considering i sold mine for 90,000! I wonder if you win one if you Gold the third race in the Special Events/Top Gear challenge...

Thanks... I did find it in the UCD, never thought about looking there I thought when you won it you couldn't buy it!
thanks:sly:

I'm trying to collect all cars in this game (DLC cars excluded) I'm just at 800 cars right now.

My question:
Is there a way to verify which cars I'm still missing in-game without cross-checking this car list? I'd figure this would be a huge hassle because cars are divided by Prem/Standard.

What is the best way to find for duplicated cars? I think I have a couple from the getting the same cars from the 1000 tickets

MyGranTurismo.net is your friend!

I am trying to collect all the different models as well as a few of the variations that can't be replicated with paint chips.

I am currently up to 919 unique models, and an additional 164 unique variations.

Using MGT.net's web based database for keeping track of your garage as well as your friend's garages not only makes it very easy to keep track of what cars you need/want, but also makes it easy to identify who has the car(s) that you are missing and might be willing to trade you for it/them.

^ thanks
cool site...wasn't expecting to input my cars in manually...thought it can just link to your PSN account...great resource nevertheless!

A very quick way to add all your cars is to sort your GT5 garage by Make. MGT.net car list will match the order exactly (filter for standard and premium separately of course), then simply go down the list and just click the mouse on each car's "I Own" emblem (hold down after clicking a second time to add multiples).

It shouldn't take you long to input your garage. 👍

Do you know of a way to get a list of the cars in your garage via the gran-turismo.com website? I poked around, but the only way I can see to do it is to use the "Log" feature, however it's limited to <= 100 entries.

Can't wait for the full car database to be released, at the moment I own 615 cars on Gran Turismo, I also run a GT5 website and Youtube Channel.:)

I sorted my garage by make and MGT.net with make as well...but the order wasn't the same...on MGT it was sorted alphabetically by make but on my GT's garage it was sorted by make then in random order...it was a PITA.. i only inputed 170 cars in like 45 minutes..gave up haha

Sorry I wasn't clear. If you FILTER by Make, and SORT by model, then your GT5 garage will match the exact same order as MGT's default sort.

However, there are other ways you can match them up exactly, making it very quick and easy to add your cars. Like;
  • MGT (click "Name")
  • GT5 Filter: All / Sort: Model (Ascending)

.. i only inputed 170 cars in like 45 minutes..gave up haha

I have over 1,000 and it didn't take me much time at all.

There are a lot of bonus features with the MGT database as well, including filter and sorting options not available in GT5, as well as options for adding your own pictures as well as a Notepad feature that lets you leave brief notes for each of your cars... like mileage, tuning settings, etc. MGT also gives you the option of putting in your own PP ranges based on your specific cars.

^ thanks..will give that a try

What's this Log feature you speak of? I can't find it on there.

I haven't sold a single car out of 180 yet but the duplicates I have aren't really garnering any trade interest.

if they are untouched/0 miles will they sell for their cost?

To access the Log feature, I sign in at http://gran-turimso.com, then in the default home page, there is a Log tab next to an icon of tire tracks.
Ah that log. Yeah that log is limited in entries and includes so many other aspects of the game so it gets messy trying to track down cars you bought from there.

if they are untouched/0 miles will they sell for their cost?

Nope. It seems like you only get 20-35% of the MSRP...which is bogus.

Okay I have another question for you car collectors: Is there a way in-game to see which cars I have modded/tuned?

There is no sort option for modified cars. However, MGT allows you to create as many accounts as you like, so if you wanted to be able to track which cars you have modified you could use a separate account and just add the cars that you have modified to it's garage.

i have been cycling the UCD for while and it still will not find any car for me

I don't quite follow the question nor what it has to do with the overall car database.

If you're having issues finding specific cars in the UCD, go to the GT5cars.net used car database search (which is based on our database and the used car database elsewhere in this forum) and follow the instructions.
