GT5 delayed

The only release date that has the most weight is the official Sony/Pd date given.
Retailers/web sites at the moment are making guesses to where to place the new release dates, there all over the place, some late November, some into December, Gamestop first of the year, some like Amazon.com (US) are still holding the release at November 2.
Three things are possible at the end of the month.
1.) A new release date is announced that the release date is placed somewhere in November/December.
2.) The release date is pushed into first part of next year.
3.) PD punts on releasing the new release date (since they didn't specifically give a date at the end of the month for the announcement of the release date), the new release date is announced in mid November, at which time Kazunori apologizes that there isn't enough time to make the Christmas holiday, thus the release date is carried over into 2011.

And then some people complain I'm not nice to new members. All we do is keep telling them those dates are placeholders and that they should simply stop posting them. If it's annoying it's annoying, period.

Correction: They are NOTfrom one game (or 1.5 as you said)...
because that would mean that game is done... which we all know: is not even released yet.
GT HD and GT5-P and GT5-TT and all those demo builds, are just successive drafts version of GT5. That's all.

The Guy is from Portugal...(likewise!!!)...It is not like us Portuguese are all in GTPlanet Forum...like myself, he is probably here the get more info about GT5...
FNAC is a very large retailer here...highly regarded...it does not mean the date is "real" but at least it is coherent with the date that is circulating around the web for the US Release Date...! this thread's just showing a lot of screaming and hate. i don't see how it's beneficial to have a discussion 90+ pages long on the delay
IMO, this thread should be locked or put on hold (like the countdown thread) until there's another delay announcement (if that happens).
It should be open so people can vent their frustrations. The choice is always there to not click this thread anymore.
I wasn't yelling at Falango, just restating a little bigger so others can see to stop posting everyplace that's making up dates. 👍

The only problem with that is the moaning and screaming is going to diverted to another thread, just like what happened with the motorbikes thread. Let the idiots keep trolling with the 'release dates', and just ignore them.

yes i know the choice exists; but when i come into the thread expecting (hoping) there to be something useful being said and all i see is big, red, obnoxious print, it's not useful for anyone. do you think all the future posters will come back to this page before posting the latest release date they heard of? likely not.

Rather than guessing when GT5 is released I feel its better to try and predict the release date via a process of elimination.
So lets start looking at dates and assume GT5 will be released on a Friday in the UK as most games are. This leaves these dates Nov 26th, Dec 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th, 31st.
So we can assume GT5 won't be released on the Dec 24th, 31st for obvious reasons so this cancels these dates. Now the 17th is unlikely due to most people have already finished their xmas shopping. So the possible dates are Nov 26th, Dec 3rd, 10th. Now personally I reckon its between Nov 26th and Dec 3rd because this is the peak period of xmas shopping.
You may wonder why I haven't included Fridays before Nov 26th but in my opinion I reckon we would of heard of a release date already.

Assuming the US release date will coincide with the UK release, then I think you've given it a good break down. I sure hope you're spot on, that would be fantastic. I do think that, if we're blessed with a release date in the last week of October. Then, who knows, maybe we could see if prior to Nov. 26th..US/UK,etc. Lets just say that for now I'm counting on some announcement towards the end of Oct...,or they can be really special and announce the new date on Nov. 2!!! cruel, very cruel....

I've given up on coming to this thread to read something useful, because all that is posted is blabber about retailers and their so called release dates of a game there isn't a release date for. Annoying isn't it. It's not useful to anyone either. Now you can understand our frustration too!
