touche,
touche,There are several and we will never know.
I am not sure if you are joking there, but the piracy issue is probably much more a concern of direct disc copying (ie rental copy, copy off a friend etc) than download...
3 days could be 3 months in Kaz's world.
We can release when ever we like. Soon. 90%.
Apollo space programs. PS4 level of detail.
It's basically finished.
I still have not seen an official statement about going gold.
Or a going gold trailer, time trial competition, win a gold SLR, gold release party at Bogner Regis.
Anyone noticed on the VisionRacer website there is a GT5 banner that says December 2010 in the corner? Could be speculation, could be true, I don't know...![]()
didnt forza 3 take 2?
Brand New Physics engine which probably took 2-4 years. When you have a limited team like PD it takes a while. High detail cars are created from scratch. Some tracks started from scratch while others are refined and brought up to GT5 levels.whats different? the graphics are uprated, the physics are uprated, more cars and a pointless track editor which will create millions of characterless tracks nobody will want to use. thats hardly 4 years extra work, especially for the flagship titles team surely?
i reckon too much time spent "researching" in racing cars playing Kaz.
i really think PD are VERY unprofessional. and need a huge kick up the arse.
then again its sony's fault for writing all the blank cheques.
No it would have taken the same amount of time because this isn't like Forza 3 where its just an update of Forza 2. Its a game built completely from scratch.we could have had half the game 3 years ago, called that GT5, and had all this extra crap and more cars now and called THAT GT 6!
I dont understand all this apollo sacecraft stuff....
i honestly cant see whats taken them 6 years to make.

This game really has turned out to be some real laughing matter. Every time I tell a mate at work about the latest garbage they laugh.
"GT5 has been delayed again"
"Still no release date for GT5 yet?" "Nah, just some stupid childish video about horns"

i got sucked in by it. i've got a brand new ps3 and a g25 and cockpit in my livingroom that's just sitting waiting to be used

Lets hope we get a new release date next week. If not I am going to cancel my Hol
Delayed by 3 days? If that is true then it would be the 5th November. Which could be their plans all along for a Global Release. (Just saying)
Also remember there are different versions of the game for different langages, so each one would be going "Gold" in different printing companies or the same global company, but I would of thought that Sony would have there own printing company.

Are you saying GT6 will be totally different from GT5 and not share anything in common?
Now, that leads to another question, when the major part of the copies goes into warehouses, shouldn't you sell whatever you have on november 3rd. And if all those copies aren't sufficient keep printing, or print later on (wich is what they are doing anyway: printing copies for december). Are they scared of bad publicity for having no stocks, the Wii benefited from empty shelves, GT5 would too, it's a blockbuster.
Many questions.
How long the game will be in print for this holiday? A 3 days delay without a context is not very useful. Is it 3 days out 5 manufacturing days, out of 15, 30?
Why do they have to delay manufacturing instead of using half the production of "movie A" (and others) for GT5's and extend "movie A" manufacturing later on, especially since most of it goes to a warehouse?

If one would summarize Japanese culture in on word, it would be many things but "improvisation".
The problem with that is that pre-ordered copies, logically, should be delivered first. That would leave the ones that didn't pre-order having to wait however long it takes to catch up on the demand, and would really anger many people. If they didn't deliver the
pre-ordered copies first and put them on the shelves instead, you would really anger those people that pre-ordered. They really have to have enough release day copies plus some, because it might take another month before a slot opens for production of more copies.

But that is, if the 3 days delay is the truth, and like spagetti69 said Kaz is crazy. My post was somewhat a way to point out the 3 days isn't the truth. If Sony trully missed it by 3 days and have to move the release to, what seems to be, a month later, they have to be the most helpless corporation on the face of the Earth, while their size would suggest the opposite.
WHAT? That was implied dumbass.
While that's what would be "right" I have seen it go the other way quite a few times where stores just sell first come first serve regardless of pre orders.
You have to remember they want money in hand and selling to who's here now is the easiest way to do that.
If they hold back pre sales then the walk in customers will go elsewhere.
If the put preorders on the sheld they get those sales and the people who pre ordered might just keep their pre sale (if there really is a shortage and you can't buy elsewhere) and even if they pull their pre sale that's not really a sale lost because their copy was already sold to the walk in.
Seen it happen wuite a few times.
With gt5 though I can't imagine they won't be way overproducing to be safe.
