Wow, this is a shock to wake up to this morning O.o

After watching the vid, I guess we can confirm no graphical upgrades from prologue. As far as I could tell anyway. (Not a bad thing, since Prologue looks great).

Sound is still a bit "Meh". But better.

The screen speedo is in Km/h and the Dash speedo is also in km/h. Japanese cars have 180km/h speedo limits in general (some exceptions, Nismo, GTR etc), the car modelled is clearly based of a Japanese model (as with many GT5P cars).

Nothing in Mph in that video.

O, didn't know that. Strange though, are cars limited to 180 km/h in Japan?
I knew they had some kind of restriction to 280hp, but to limit the scale of the speedo is just weird...

OMG, is this really GT5???

I just came to conclusion that PD is hiding the potential of full GT5 as much as they can.

I don't believe you can really get an indication of any graphics improvements from an internet video, no matter the "HD" quality. We should wait until we can view it on a full HD big screen in your living room before we judge it. 👍

Yes all cars are 180km/h limited in Japan, many can be removed easily. Considering here in Australia we get tons of Japanese imports the limiters are commonly disabled. This is why there is a good market for Speedo's that exceed 180km/h (from Nismo and many others).

Keep in mind the US set 85mph speedo restrictions (not 85 speed limited though) for quite sometime. It's to try and prevent you to do high speeds if you don't know how fast you're going.

I tidbit from someone at Neogaf that has access to the demo

just got an email saying that this is ONLY for the GT Academy and not a demo from GT5 xD it doesn't serve as a preview or review (wow lol, review?) they also say that we should not capture videos from it

Still no 1:1 steering animation and tire sounds are still quite the same :(
There is no major differenses to prologue from what we have seen. Well we have to try it to be sure and check out "new" physics.

That's the same way we should judge all things in the game. Sad to see harsh judgment being passed on the videos when it's someone else behind the wheel. :dunce:

Wow another FAIL.

No damage
No improvement in graphics
No Skidmarks
No nice surprises!!

Its not that serious brah!

3 more days :dunce:

Such a pack of whiners. I would love to see all the whiners gather together to make a better game than what we are getting. They think its so easy to code millions of lines of code and make no mistake or its so easy to do everything they want.

Now that's a descent video!
How weird, those German screens looked like crap 👎

And the sound has changed a bit, no more high pitch tire sounds, it sound more like scrubbing now. Defenately an improvement!
Yeap, this looks and sounds better, still same samples, but definitely better mix. 👍
I don't know what everyone else is looking at, but the newest video there everything looks damn good to me. 👍

And was the guy in that video using the D-Pad? His steering was really jumpy.
Well, I'm not looking at something specific, what buffles me is how everything look so lifeless ... and I'd really rather have no spectators at all than this. :ugh: ;)
Is everyone going to get a chance to race Kaz's ghost?
Now, that be awesome. :D

Anybody noticed they let us drive complete laps and not this "part of a circuit"* thing? 👍

*which is more clear how it was meant now, after seeing this...

PD has allways given us the best looking racegame, and im sure they will again. GT5P is still the best looker out there IMO, and im sure GT5 will be the best untill GT6 is released.
And about the physics.
One of the main reason we all love GT, is how it feels. And how it felt when it revolutionized racing games with the first GT. Making a very different physics engine is a little bit the same as saying, we didn`t do good enough before (or just, the technology is better now) HIHI.

Anyway I think the demo looks very promising, and I love GT as much as ever right now:)

Do you have to be over 18 years old to play the demo? From what I'm hearing, you do.

You have to be over 18 to qualify for GT Academy or win the Indy tickets. Any age can play though.

To participate in the competition to be a racing driver; yes. I wouldn't of thought so to download the demo though. Source?

Then you apply for it anyway and if you come in the top 20 you will simply be disqualified.

If you have to sign up for GTacademy before the download i'll be quite annoyed, i want to have a go at the demo just as much as the next person, and my lack of a driving license means that in their eyes i shouldn't be allowed to play it.

But there is a simple way around that like i said.

You don't need a road license to race on a track.

Since when? A Driving license was required to enter the previous GT academy.

Because if you don't know the basics, how to use the clutch and whatnot, what good are you going to be in a track car with a manual gearbox?

It will be in the terms and conditions i'm sure of it.

You don't need a road license to race on a track.

I know that.

How long do you think it will be before people start trying to identify the cars in the parking lot next to the back straightaway? haha :dopey:

any one notice the map on the clearer video, its half transparent.

i hope they dont include this in gt5
👎

I hope they do and also option to turn the ugly thing off completely, it's just irritating and cost me about one second each lap having this 🤬 in my way!

BTW did they change 3rd person view a bit or is it just me?:dopey:
