I didn't read this whole thread (so maybe this was answered), but the question is, will the G27's paddle shifters work or will i be stuck using the H shifter?

I dont have the demo or G27, but a quick question to you as well.. Maybe it might work..

With my Fanatec wheel , when I plug in H shifter, I have to use it, to use Paddles behind wheel i need to simply unplug the shifter, try that? If it will work with Prologue, it should work for Demo as well.

I am all for having the clutch non functional to keep things fair in this time trial, as long as the clutch is re-activated in full GT5.

I run a DFGT as standard, but used a G25 and G27 with the GT Academy Time Trial today. The paddles on the G25 and G27 worked fine.

Noobie question, does the time trial demo allow automatic transmission? I read that they have limited many of the driving assist options due to the purpose of the demo, does this include automatic gears? I'm not some racing sim pro >_> I just want to have a little fun and competition with a friend and see who gets the fastest time and cannot use manual gears.

I've just moved this discussion into the new dedicated forum for the GT5 Demo, so you can all stretch your legs outside of this monolithic thread. :)

Four hours until Dec 17 :D Hopefully the demo's not too big to download, I don't want to blow my cap again  :)

You should be able to create a PSN account registered for New Zealand, Chris. Are you sure of when the AU/NZ store updates, Sharky?

I'm in New Zealand, and I wouldn't be so sure that at midnight tonight it will be available. But heres hoping....

3hours 25 minutes.

One thing that would really make the demo actually worth it for people like me who don't qualify for GT Academy or the ticket prize would have been a single race mode. How hard is that to add in? :(

EDIT: People calm down, it's just a time trial with 1 new car and 1 new track, and you'll have to be the best of the best to be able to win, and we all can't win.

The Ferrari 458 Italia would have been a single car. How hard is that to add in? The Nurburgring would have been a single track. How hard is that to add in? Point is, you are completely missing the point about what this download is all about.

New Zealand store, Australian store, UK store is the same store. It updates the same time which ends up being on Friday the 18th in the early morning.

That will sort off defeat the whole point of GT Academy- Nissan (because of they provide the car for GT team to compete in) and Indianapolis (the winning prize for the NA competition).

UK store usually updates at 4-6PM so its still 31 hours to go.

Sony have put content on the store at anytime and this could show up midnight but I reckon it'll be tomorrow afternoon.

Also, you can download an hour or so before actual store page updates itself by typing the content due manually in the search via the magnifying glass icon.

EDIT: GT5 demo will appear at 9:00am UK according to GT Academy facebook

There's one thing I can't understand for the life of me. If this demo is just Prologue graphics and with the lack of damage etc etc, why didn't they just make this an update to Prologue rather than a whole new demo?:odd: They've updated Prologue physics before, plus then we'd get to sample our current cars on the new track and maybe even have had online races there.
