From a japanese BBS I read that a new TV commercial of GT5 with Vettel has come out in Japan. I'm trying to find more info about it.

I have a feeling that there is going to be some racing for "pinks" with the gift system.

Example:

GTP'er - I am a much better driver than you.
Someone else - No, I am a much better driver than you.
GTP'er - I'll race you for pink slips.
Someone else - Ok, name the time, place, and car.
GTP'er - Viper ACR, 5 lap maximum, Nurburgring, best lap time wins.
Someone else - Ok, deal, which car are you putting up?
GTP'er - Fully modded R35 GT-R. Which car you putting up?
Someone else - Stock Enzo.
GTP'er - Ok, that works. See you out there.

It would go something like ^ that, but it would probably need to be a friendly rivalry, or with someone that you really trust, because if you put up one of your hard earned cars, then you want the other person to be honest, and if they loose, to actually "gift" you the car they said they would.

I really like the sound of that. It would have to be forced however due to online having no honor system whatsoever...

Well they could easily do it as they did on Need For Speed (cant remember which one, somebody help me out here) where you could take your memory card to your friends house, and you both pick a car off eachothers memory cards and then after the race the losers car would automatically transfare to the winners memory card. It worked a treat, but with a little clever thinking and double saving you could rip the game off something rotten by winning your own car and then selling it for cash haha

P.S. good to see KY enjoying customizing, maybe he'll add an awesome customizer to GT6

From the look of the pics, and what we've been hearing, it seems that the Standards are the high-detail Photo Mode cars from GT4, and not the gameplay models that most people are assuming they are. Which won't put them all that far behind the Premiums, really, except for the interiors.

Gran Turismo 4 used identical models in both gameplay and Photo Mode; models which are essentially fluff when set beside Premium cars.

You're referring to Photo Travel. Even in this case, the fluctuation in quality only affects the rims, which are moving (hence unnoticeable) during gameplay regardless.

And now something on topic: I've searched all over gtplanet and haven't found any evidence or hints if we are going to be able to change drivers in races. I wonder if it could be possible to exchange B-spec drivers with real ones. That would be so epic.

Not quite sure what you mean there. It's been said that you need multiple B-Spec drivers for enduros. Do you mean jumping out of B-Spec and driving the car yourself? Or put Loeb, Gordon, Vettel in the car? When I read "real drivers" I think of the ones in the game. I haven't seen anything about going B-Spec to A-Spec.

I think the Dacia management would be quite happy to see their cars in a game like GT5 as that would increase brand awareness. My opinion is that such companies would be more willing than others to provide the most help and data possible to better represent their cars in the game.

We'll see. Nothing confirmed or even hinted for now.
 
Guys, if you've got an issue use the site feedback or pm or mod or do something other than hijack a GT5 thread. All you're doing is annoying members looking for GT5 news. By all means discuss and debate the issue, but do it in the correct place.

How one is more likely than the other is beyond me to be honest, using which criteria?
Simply because the majority seems to prefer ( an assumption based on reading this forum ) the one over the other isn't a sign they're more likely to appear in GT5.
Hence a certain Stuttgart based company.....( personally I welcome any brand added to the series simply for being another brand, although I won't miss either Dacia nor Koenigsegg to be honest ).
