150 tracks!? Likely to be variations though.
It's interesting to see how numbers kept growing over time:

“Gran Turismo 5 features 20 racing locations with over 70 track variations”
http://us.gran-turismo.com/us/news/d5247p2.html

“More than 40 tracks with over 100 layouts (including all versions of Nurburgring – which nobody’s ever done before). That enough for you? :)”
http://blog.us.playstation.com/2010/06/18/a-chat-with-kazunori-yamauchi-creator-of-gran-turismo/

“Gamers may choose from over 60 circuits including the newly added Tuscany, Madrid, Rome and Indianapolis tracks.”
http://www.motortrend.com/features/consumer/1009_gran_turismo_5/cars_and_tracks.html

“GT5 propose plus de 1000 voitures dont les plus puissantes jamais produites, près de 150 circuits [possibly layouts] et une experience de la course auto comme vous ne l'avez jamais vécue !”
http://www.parisgamesweek.com/jeux/gran-turismo-5

This is how I see it:

1) 20+ tracks, 70+ variations
2) 40+ tracks, 100+ variations
3) 60+ tracks, ???+ variations
4) ??+ tracks, 150+ variations

I really hope they're not counting reverse versions of city and original tracks though!

If you take Kaz's more than 70 unique tracks, double it for an average of 2 variations per track then it sounds about right

I know everyone's sorta talking about tracks at the moment but I was just thinking about something: Will GT5's tuning shop have anything like turbos and/or superchargers?

Of course. GT1 - GT4 had turbos. GT4 was the first one to have superchargers. What makes you think GT5 won't have these tuning parts?

I'm certain those pictures aren't showing all of the menus. Remember, turbos and superchargers are in their own menu in previous games.

Yeah, I just finished watching a video of the tuning menus in GT4. GT5P was my first GT experience so I'm too familiar as of yet with all the tuning options. :indiff:

GT5 CE for WII?

As for EA/MS/Sony monopolies, they will all correct themselves in the end... but the end may not come in my lifetime.
Except that SONY is as much a monopoly as Pizza Hut.

By the way, someone needs to write a review on that "Wii" ad.

Can i please have some help from the other Aussie's out there?
I need to get GT5 delivered by the friday night (November 5th), and i cannot find anywhere to get a PAL version delivered by then.
Is there anwhere where this is possible?

Try EB games, I believe they ship it the day before release, so you get it on release day, evening. Actually most places should

Only an hours drive. If you were really keen you'd make the trip. I know I'd travel for 2 hours to get my hands on GT5 after 5 years.

Well on that subject, I'm heading to the Paris Motor Show tomorrow so I hope I'll be able to play GT5 and maybe bring back some pictures/videos. But note that it won't be HD at all, my camera is like 5 years old and I can't bring a tripod so don't expect miracles.

So 1 month to go, since 2 days, I lost my interest in this game (or complete gaming) :nervous: I don´t know why, yesterday I thought "if I would have the game now, what would I do?" and then I thought "I would not even turn the PS3 on" :nervous:

Really, it took too long, they let us wait too long... I hope I get excited again on release...

Also this ignore mode from PD, I can´t understand this, 30 days to release and still no single new trailer, video, screenshot, advertise... nothing... WTH?

I don't think marketing will start ramping up until a few weeks before release.

I've lost interest in gaming too. I haven't bought a game in the last 1-2 years that I was actually happy with. They've all been 🤬

But GT5 is the reason I bought a PS3 in the first place.

A few weeks before release? 4 weeks to go? you mean a few days? I think that would be a bit late... Forget advertising, there are no official videos from Sony/PD, that´s whats bugging me... The most videos that we get are videos from demos, filmed by members or fans... I have not seen an 1080p gameplay vid, officially from Sony/PD... only fan videos...

Mhh however, I hope I get my excitement back...

The last game that really blew me away was Uncharted 2. Truly a masterpiece.

The videos on the news page are amazing. The muscle cars are sounding better, but still not great. Ironically, modern muscle like the ZR1 and SLS AMG sound great, so why do the classics lag? I was also disappointed to learn that the C3 Convertible is not a 427, why have 2 C3 Vettes if one isn't a 427?
