That's just the way the series is. (They explain the creatures later btw.) You still didn't answer my question. Are you like that towards anything that is not strictly realistic?

No, only if i get duped into buying something that wasn't what I was expecting. An example is F1 2010. I bought that expecting a professional and precise F1 game but what I got was an F1 game where the qualifying times were made up and the AI can go into ghost mode in the pits and literally drive through your car while you're both travelling down pit lane. Terrible game and I'm angry that that's the product they gave me. If I had known it was like that I wouldn't have bought it. Same for Uncharted and the snow monkeys.

But as it's 2.30am here and Killa Aaron has posted something GT5 related I'm going to stop spamming and get some sleep.

I take it you haven't seen the videos on the news page. Granted it's not an official video from PD or Sony, but it is something, and there's at least 12 new videos there.

If that ain't working for ya...then try to hype yourself about the game again. Remember how every single person who saw the weather trailer did this  after seeing it? Watch it again, and some other trailers. Get yourself pumped, October will be a long month, but we waited 5 years for this game, we can survive one month.

Why do I have a feeling that many people here will have to be admitted to a psychiatric ward due to the long month that will be October?

The videos on the newspage are your ordinary demo videos we've been getting for months. Nothing there to get excited about. As for the weather video, I didn't have the same reaction as everyone else.
E3 was the last time I got really pumped for GT5. Around gamescom it all started fading. Then TGS brought some life back but it's not what it was before. I even stopped playing GT4 this past week. It might have something to do with the cold weather that just showed up out of nowhere.

Well here is something that might interest someone, do you guys remember the CR-Z Promo event that took place September 23rd? Well the pics that were provided had Metadata in them that says the pics were taken at March 8th, 2009 @ 7:03 PM and the Filming device was the PlayStation 3.

Quite interesting they're over a year old, which could mean every photo and or trailer we see can be very old and not as new as it seems to be.

If the date on the PS3 was off, wouldn't that explain the date discrepancy?
I don't think the CR-Z was done a year ago.

What I am worried about is, did they show the best and hide the rest? Maybe this standard cars and tracks are really that bad that they won´t to show it to the public... Maybe they are worried about the sales if they show the standards and people get dissapointed...

I really hope they got some surprises for us... I mean, ok good for PD to make their dream car together with Red Bull Racing... But For me, I don´t care about one single car that much... I´ve also driven the Citroen PD car only 1 time... It´s really great for PD but for me, it would be better if they invest their time in the game and not in the X1 car (real, not game)... I don´t know how many millions PD invest in that X1 but for me, it would be better when they invest that millions into an Porsche license... I don´t think Porsche is EA exclusive, so many games have porsche in it...

F1 2010 has many bugs but if they can fix them, it will be a game wich will be playable for at least 1 year... (online fun in private races!)

To me it's not even standard cars or tracks. Physics are enough to make the cars feel new. Tracks, don't really care. I only look at the pavement and some markers. The time has just taken its toll. I'm starting to question just how fun the game will actually be. Collecting all the cars will keep me sucked in for a year. It's the rest that worries me.
I've yet to experience any F1 bugs and I'm 8 races in.

Well Im sure if you just stop playing GT4 this past week GT5 will keep you busy for the next upcoming years, which Im sure you will have fun with it, for the fact of GT5 blows GT4 out of the water in every aspect. 👍

I don't think KY is worried about Standard hurting sales- we all know that 80% are going to be Standard models, and most Premium models are going to be Race Cars. I think he would be more worried about how many trancks there are, or the new features, and because we've seen a lot of these implemented, I don't think Kaz is sweating over his game not selling good.

So I guess something called "sub-licensing" doesn't ring a bell? Its almost been said plenty times that its very possible that one of those contract obligations include not licensing at all to PD.

No doubt man i don't get to hung up over the Standard car issue, only blow for me is not having cockpit, but Im over that. The new physics and mechanical damage and feature got me so pumped about GT5!!

Why would the date be off? the image came from PD themselves from the PS3, also why wouldn't the CR-Z be done when the SLS was done early last year too.

Very interesting and also could mean they have something very major still to anounce.

I stopped playing GT4 this past week, yes, but I started playing it a week or so before that. I didn't mean I've been playing it for 6 years since it came out.

It doesn't take much for the PS3 clock to get out of whack.
Also, the CR-Z wasn't finalized at this time last year. It was still in the "near production" phase last october. It's possible PD had "early" finalized info.
It's just easier to believe the date is messed up than believing they're showing us 1yr+ old screens.

I doubt that anything in the Porsche-EA relationship prevents licensing to PD, but I wouldn't be surprised if the EA-MS relationship does. It's in MS' interests to effectively pay to keep Porsche out of GT.

Of course, there were no Porsches in GT before there was Forza, but at that time EA viewed the NFS series as being in direct competition to GT. What would be interesting to know is whether MS' licensing of Porsche has so far been on a game-by-game basis or whether it has a fixed duration. With EA's general relationship with MS apparently cooling a little and their subtle shift towards the PS3 being a favoured platform we may yet see Porsche in future GT games, with a corresponding disappearance from MS titles.

There really isn't an MS/EA relationship anymore. MS has decided that ACtivision is their new buddy. THat's why SONY and EA are closer than before.

I retouch cars professionally and I'm almost 100% sure those CR-Z pictures are comps. This could explain the Metadata is old ie. the backplate was rendered a year ago. They sit very awkwardly in their backgrounds and there's a distinct lack of reflections. You can also see a hard shadow on the ground (in the wrong direction for the sun) in the day shot, even though the car is in shade.

Thanks, but the bit you highlighted refers to the commercial relationship which led to Porsche cars being included in MS games. That is clearly in existence, and may be in perpetuity for all we know, even if one party might wish it weren't. Much as Porsche undoubtedly wish their commercial relationship with EA no longer existed.

That is not a premium looking interior! It has been sometime, since I have been on the forum due to F1 2010 and you can tone down your response!

Didn't they just sign a new exclusivity contract?

He's right man that car is premium, Its says it when he is selecting the car. Its just the interior is very dark like it was in London on GT5P.
