So 1 month to go, since 2 days, I lost my interest in this game (or complete gaming) :nervous: I don´t know why, yesterday I thought "if I would have the game now, what would I do?" and then I thought "I would not even turn the PS3 on" :nervous:

Really, it took too long, they let us wait too long... I hope I get excited again on release...

Also this ignore mode from PD, I can´t understand this, 30 days to release and still no single new trailer, video, screenshot, advertise... nothing... WTH?

Man I have the same feeling too. I still remember how excited I was when I saw "Vision Gran Turismo" trailer(watched it like 20 times in a row). I couldn't sleep that night as I kept thinking of GT5 and dreamed a lot. But since I saw the first official GT5 trailer (E3 2009) I wasn't excited about GT5 anymore(almost everything is revealed) even though I had a chance to play the public demo but still I wasn't excited.

Same story for another game, World of Warcraft I was too excited when I bought the first expansion. I think we're going to quit gaming ... nah screw it! :yuck:

I take it you haven't seen the videos on the news page. Granted it's not an official video from PD or Sony, but it is something, and there's at least 12 new videos there.

If that ain't working for ya...then try to hype yourself about the game again. Remember how every single person who saw the weather trailer did this  after seeing it? Watch it again, and some other trailers. Get yourself pumped, October will be a long month, but we waited 5 years for this game, we can survive one month.

Why do I have a feeling that many people here will have to be admitted to a psychiatric ward due to the long month that will be October?

Meh, I don't think I'll bother playing the GT5 demo, getting sick of seeing the same old tracks and cars over and over and over and over again! Rome and the Ring are now the new R246 - ie seen them way too much as is....

Getting rather jaded.... GT5 better come out soon...and PD better start releasing some more info and details...

Oh my goddd. It's IN SIGHT, you can smell it, touch it, pre-order with home shipping if you need that extra security, because its here.

Take these 4 weeks to do what you have to before the GT hammer falls hard on us.

Take your dogs out, feed your children, play with your wife\gf\bf\hubands because pretty soon they will have to do most of that themselves...

This is going to be an amazing winter, kinda makes up for Montreal Canadiens trading Halak and keeping Price.

I'd like to call this one :

"December 2nd"

Thats what my kids would be like, all neglected dust-bowl depression look with the eyes of predators from hunting small mice and squirrels for sustenance, drinking breast milk from an overly maternal street cat, just a post-apocalyptic micro-MadMax existence.

All recollection of a previously technologically enriched life forgotten as they adapt to playing with sticks and rocks and the long forgotten"imagination", eventually banding with other nearby neglected-child-clans from other people on your block who got GT5.

They eventually take over the streets, and change the currency from dollars to Swedish Berries, non sour, and setup boobie traps for unwitting trespassers, which is just as well because everyone is still indoors with sweaty tight grips on their G25\27s doing night laps of the Ring in the rain in the middle of the day curtains closed as every inch of direct sunlight is blocked in an attempt to add further immersion to the game.

Just all out hell.

Yes sir! I don't know how you can be a GT fan and not be excited about GT5 coming out next month. I will be taking of 3days so i can dedicate my time to GT5.

There is obviously more stuff in GT5 that they haven't revealed yet. That Red Bull video that got pulled is an example. I do think they should be on a far more aggressive advertising campaign though. It's been so long between GT4 and GT5 that I'd say a large portion of current gamers have never played a GT game before while another portion don't understand how detailed the game will be. PD need to re-educate.

It's easy to insert a YouTube video directly into your post! Just look at the URL of the video in your browser's address bar when you are watching the clip on YouTube.com. It should look something like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lj3iNxZ8Dww. The text in red is a unique identifier for each video. Remove everything from the address except for that identifier, and enclose it in

:)

edit,

one of those vids shows this:

Definitely.

It really needs to start now.... but with subtle ads.

Like

"Gran Turismo 5 is coming." with the date for each region the ad is shown for 10 seconds and then building on that with quick cuts to cars, car sounds, whatever.

Then start unleashing ad after ad of cars, features, thet weather trailer the two weeks before release.

That's just me though.

This would also be my answer...

I can´t see the nordschleife, Rome, Madrid or Tokyo anymore... Also I can´t see that Citroen and all the other same cars anymore they show us now since 1 year...

The videos on the news page are so boring, really, always the same stuff... Old build, no damage, no skidmarks... Why the hell can´t they show an demo where all is included?

Damn I hope I can get over this feeling and get excited on November 5th... :nervous: One thing is sure, PD will get my money! I will buy it, even if it get´s bad reviews...

I was in an game store today, hold the F1 2010 game for PS3 in my hands, for at least 10-15 mins... Then I thought "WTH you are nearly 30 years old, still playing racing games with an steering wheel" :nervous:

If you would ask me last week, I would say, I will play racing games with an steering wheel till I am 60...

Must be a period at the moment, I´m also depressed because I´m back from an 8 week journey to turkey :D

But really, It took too long, way too long! March 2010 would be the perfect time, everybody was excited and hyped... And I still don´t get the feeling that the game will come out in 30 days! They don´t give us that feeling because there is no promotion...

I'm starting to get a little afraid that we have - or at least i have hyped myself/ourselves to much these past few years. So much that it cannot live up to the expectations no matter what. I need to take a few deep breaths and think for myself that it is just a game and it will be an OK game, removing expectations and just pretend i don't care. I've hyped it up for all my friends and i'm thinking i might have ruined the experience for them as well..

*Taking deep breath and counting to ten*

It's coming guys! It's coming! Soon. Shoot, it didn't work...

It's just calm before the storm.

Yeah I hope so I want an explosion of info at around mid October to get me hyped. The lack of info over the last couple of weeks has got me question again like you guys have said.

I question stuff like this loads. I get really excited about say my birthday then about a week before I think what am I getting excited about, yeah I really want this phone now but I will just be average to me in a couple of months all the features will no longer be new. However I get over this a couple of days before and then get really excited again. That is the phase we are going through now, the is it really worth all this hype, all this wait, its only a game a group of 1's and 0's. Don't worry you will get over this and then get really excited when it comes out.

My problem is also that I have been hyping this game up to my mates for years cause of all the fake release dates and now they no longer give a 🤬 and stop listening if I talk about gt5 and none of them are goin to get the game (well not straight away when its £40).

I was completely hyped 1 year ago now I just want the game now matter how bad it is.Must have GT5 :D

I've lost interest in gaming too. I haven't bought a game in the last 1-2 years that I was actually happy with. They've all been 🤬

But GT5 is the reason I bought a PS3 in the first place.
The prognosis is simple. You guys have become old farts. ;)

I bought a PS3 for the Playstation 3 library, and as I expected, gaming is better than ever. Fighting games, sports games, action, adventure, platforming, a few RPGs - very picky about RPGs so only the best will do. Genre defining games like Metal Gear Solid, Ratchet & Clank, Uncharted and Heavy Rain are on PS3. And so is a little racer made by some puny sweatshop called Polyphony Digital. ;)

I think you guys look in the mirror before heading out for a boring 9 to 5 job, see a gray hair, and think, "Why am I still playing kids games? Don't I need to grow up sometime?"

As for me, I'll never really grow up. I look forward to every day - well, look forward to getting out of work on weekdays - with youthful anticipation. But then I'm still young at heart and have too many hobbies and talents for one guy.

Too many males are embarrassed to be this way, but I say, don't lose your inner kid. Have FUN with life, and don't care what people think about it! While they get ulcers and wrinkles, you'll be enjoying yourself, so who's better off?

31 DAYS! (or less) :D

I'm 25 :grumpy:

The reason why I haven't liked recent games is because they're simply 🤬 .

F1 2010 - Full of pathetically bad bugs
BFBC 2 - No Australian servers
MW2 - Blatant cash grab built for kids
COD5 - Treyach and vehicles
Uncharted - This I admit was a decent game but the online was laggy and the maps sucked and I stopped playing SP the instant those alien snow monkey things appeared.

I could go on. GT5 will be the only game in a while that was properly built. I tried to kill time by buying F1 2010 but it's boring me already. I'm thinking of trading that for a strategy game called Ruse.

Dude... You are really missing out on Uncharted. It's one of the absolute best games this generation.

I like the way you refer to an 18+ game as for kids.

I liked it alot until the story turned to some fantasy crap like the first one. The instant I saw the snow monkey towards the end in the snow levels I switched it off but the start and middle sections (particularly the helicopter/high rise rooftop levels) were great.

You don't think COD is marketed to kids? The new Black Ops LM comes with a remote control car ffs 👎 👎 👎 👎

And it's 15+ here.

This thread is starting to sound like one giant therapy session. Hope everyone manages to work out the issues giving them angst, grief and melancholia.

On a positive note, I had another session of GT4 after many days of GT5P and man do I not miss that GT4 understeer.

However, the last few pages here has made me realize that I need a new project.

Seeing the new videos at the news section got me worried about the jaggies and glitchy shadows during replays and cockpit view(not so much) I kno w this is only a beta so please PD fix them before release don't spoil those drop dead georgeus replays.
Someone needs to do a GT5 parody of this TV ad... the message is perfect for us who have waited so long for GT5

Feel free to post that in the GTP fan made video thread ,pretty sure someone can answer your call.

In england you can join the army at 16 but can't buy the fighting game till your 18.

COD isn't meant to be marketed to kids (age restriction) however it is by the fact all kids (except me my parent won't allow me to have it :( ) have MW2.

It's a masterpiece of a game even past that point. Why is it such a problem for you?

You're not missing out on much. It's an absolute pile of junk compared to cod4.

And it is marketed to kids mate. It's full of little gimmicks and bright colours to draw the kids into addiction PLUS all the DLC was already installed on the disc, you just had to pay $20 to Activision to unlock it. It's a terrible game that hopefully isn't showing how gaming in the future will be. GT5 is my only light for now...

Because the whole game up until that point was somewhat realistic but the moment they brought in fairy tales is exactly the point I stopped playing.

Well here is something that might interest someone, do you guys remember the CR-Z Promo event that took place September 23rd? Well the pics that were provided had Metadata in them that says the pics were taken at March 8th, 2009 @ 7:03 PM and the Filming device was the PlayStation 3.

Quite interesting they're over a year old, which could mean every photo and or trailer we see can be very old and not as new as it seems to be.

That's just the way the series is. (They explain the creatures later btw.) You still didn't answer my question. Are you like that towards anything that is not strictly realistic?
