It's good to know they're listening but it just seems weird to not really know what they're looking at.

Although if they did have a specific thread it would probably grow fast than the E3 thread and the General News thread combined

It would become a Santa wishlist with everybody knowing Santa actually exists and listening, total carnage would ensue.
Best to keep schtum.

I just wish they catch on to Koenigsegg. It's about as big of a manufacture as Pagani and I want to see them in the game :(

As Jordan said, we don't know of any forthcoming embargoed material because we haven't been granted a review copy.

That said, our relationship with Sony is improving almost daily. We have been invited to two events now in the last 7 months - three years ago, that wouldn't have even been on the cards.

Famine, is there any chance you (or other GTPlanet main members) get an invitation for the world GT5 premier in Madrid (26 October) ?
I know it should be a public event but maybe they will have some private sessions / interviews...

Thanks JDMKING13 for those vids:tup:, I have to admit this is the first time I actually noticed the cobblestones on the Rome track.:ouch:
I'm going to state the bleeding obvious by saying I can't believe this game is just a few weeks away anymore ( and yes I can wait ).

They'd have to fly me there. And then out to the US

That's not to say others couldn't take up a place just because I'm unavailable, but I'm not aware of us being invited at this point.

I don't think we are since Sony is being annoying by refusing Jordan access to a review build which is very stupid to say the least.

will this thread reach 2K pages before gt5 release date :D ? few days ago it had only 1650 pages :P

I was wondering the same thing. :)

I can understand that. I mean, Jordon is in charge of the largest GT Forum on the internet. I'm sure PD and Sony are worried that he'll reveal some secrets that they don't want revealed. Also, the review copies might not be ready yet. You know, sometimes reviewers don't get copies of the game until it's released...and then, usually, they have to go out and buy it for themselves. And with the stupid reviews places like Gamespot gave GT5 Prologue (who complained about the dashboard "being in the way") I wouldn't be surprised if that's what they're gonna do.

I second. I don't think I will say something stupid by stating that if Gran Turismo series current quality level is also due, at least for a little part, to the feedbacks/comments PD received from this forum site.
It's a real pity and unfair, IMO.
On the other side we know that it's probably some Sony commercial manager who refused. Very probably PD is not involved.

I'm sorry I failed to see the distinction you made between the action and it's execution, my bad. We agree on most of the subject, after all.

I'll admit I tend to react more violently when T10, MS and FM are involved. It's just that the cocktail here leaves a very bad taste (bad PR, bad commercial conduct and not that stellar of a game) that does not encourage me to be subtle in my judgments.

I'm sorry if my previous post came out a bit harsh and aggressive. That's too bad you had to experience the rip-off attempt first hand, though.
It's no worries, mate. These things happen.

I agree that MS has just been doing an awful job, but maybe if enough people complain, they'll release it alongside the UCE & just let anyone who didn't buy any DLC get the other game.

If the rumors we have heard are true...
1. Many people have already received their review copy
2. The first review will be posted on the 27th

I think this shows Sony's confidence in their product. Which is pretty encouraging. However, I'm not so sure I'll put much stock in IGN/Gamespot and company. This type of game just is not their specialty. And it will probably show.

Personally SuperShouden I don't see the point. GTPlanet people shown to be fair in Cologne respecting the time for publishing new information.
I actually can't see why GTPlanet could be considered a potential danger for its review if they (we :)) get the review copy the same day as the other reviewers.
By the way that's just my opinion

What kind of reviews does GT5 need?

Surely if your in to racing games and have a ps3, this is a must buy. So what things need to be addressed to attract a larger audience?

If Chris Roper was still at IGN, I know he'd probably be reviewing it and probably review it well.

But, he's not, so it's irrelevent anyway. :P

I think GTP is not getting a copy because they are not independent. Besides that PD don't have to worry about us because we all will get our copy anyway.

Someone who might be getting into racing games and wants to compare FM3 to GT5. Which system to buy this holiday, or which game to pickup.

You do know that GTPlanet is not an official GT site? It is not owned by Sony, nor PlayStation.com.

JDM, thanks a lot for shooting the 24. My goodness, I hope certain sounds are adjustable. Gear whine is far from real! Been to a NASCAR race and you can't hear yourself think!

since the reviewers have the final build, they can easily drop a few new detail about the game in the review, at least that's what I'm reading the reviews for.

I think I'm right in saying that's the E3 build. The GamesCom build had a tweaked sound, with the gear whine toned down. That layered exhaust note was untouched, though. Apparently, the final sounds will only be present upon release, so it might be best to take all footage so far (of Premiums, at least) with a pinch of salt. 👍
