Well, I don't know if RB or Kaz have the finances to produce something of this caliber simply for testing and fun.

Red Bull definitely have the finances to do something like this. I'm sure they've spent more money on even more outrageous things than producing a real life X1. To them it's all a marketing tool even their team up with PD. They get back what they used to produce the X1 easily. It's just like why tobacco companies use to pour millions upon millions just to have their mark displayed on an F1 car. With this one of machine attending special events, smashing every track record - if it performs as well as it does in the game - this would do the Red Bull brand a lot of good. There would be so much hype around it. There's already a lot of hype around a virtual version just imagine what a real one could do.

I wish the teams did boycott F1 and started their own series, maybe this is what could've been hahah

6. Also, they mention that the WRC License is only up to 2008. Maybe some of the guys that watch WRC closer can clarify the impact (if any) this will have on GT.

That was one of my biggest worries about GT5. It's "supposedly" been near release for a couple years now, which I believe. The only reason they didn't release was because there were too many bugs, and I'm sure they wanted a holiday release, so they'd put it off a whole 'nother year before it being ready...thus giving them time to add more content. So, with all the "unofficial" delays, I was getting worried that a lot of the better cars would be outdated by the time the game came out.

the front of the X1 reminds me of a dolphin...

Well, it's a good design then. Dolphins are aerodynamic (or would it be aquadynamic/hydrodynamic?) in their own natural design, for ease of forward movement through water, so it would only make sense it would look similar on an X1...even though not necessarily extremely similar. :)

I think it's more along the lines of Kaz not liking the way a dandelion behaves when a Veyron goes past it doing 240mph, causing Kaz to delay the game so that said dandelion behaves properly.

Or he may have gotten locked in the bathroom.....AGAIN.:sly:

yea but it's not really that fast. A mako shark is faster but I just found out that the fastest fish is the black marlin (sailfish) it can reach 80mph...80 freakin MPH!!!!!! it's a FISH!

No you got it wrong, in an interview Kaz said
“with things like the dandelion, the choice is about whether it will improve the experience. The functionality is not a problem – we’ve got the dandelion system done – but if we are not sure about the quality of it, and how it improves the driving experience, we are not going to have it in the game."

Oh my god that is crazy. That fish is like a torpedo.

So, if the "on or about 11/30/10" date is official, or about, there should be an announcement in Paris, on or about tomorrow. No?

so besides the delay did anyone else notice they should the tracks become groved??? so whats going to happen here if 16 ppl run a stage in rally the last guy might have a hard time making it thru the stage due to the ruts everyone else made and the same for stages.? i think thats going to be awesome mixed that with some of gt5s goood weather and i think thats something we can be happy to here

On or ABOUT any date is not a date. It's more crap being thrown our way.

About the 8th annual GT Awards ... who the hell cares and should care? Make your game and stop showboating at stupid, crappy award ceremonies. You'll be taken hell of a lot more seriously if you stick to schedules and not hand out hunks of metal dubbed as awards.

Here's an idea: Skip the ceremony, get your selves (nice word) back in your game studios, and PRODUCE RESULTS.

It's getting annoying waiting for them to come through on their word and instead of hearing a date, you hear some more crap they're exhibiting themselves in. If they had bypassed all this crap publicity crap in the past 5 years, we'd probably not even be here speculating on release dates, but rather, anticipating the next iteration in the series.

POLYPHONY DIGITAL --> Make games, not crap news headlines.

here's something:

POLYPHONY --> Poly Phony --> Many Fakes :)

Edit: Sorry for rant. Just felt like venting. Peace.

Gotta love some of the goofy comments on there. "People are losing interest" is that why people still continue to talk about GT5, it seems even more so? Another comment "i won't be getting GT5" is that why they comment? It's stuff like this that just makes me laugh. The people who are complaining about the game are the first one's to pick it up. They'll criticize it to the day it arrives, then beg for a copy when it's sold out. I've seen it before and it'll continue to happen. I can't wait to see what Kaz chooses this time around at SEMA though. That Mustang was pretty cool, but was it ever in a game? Or only the overall winners are in the game?

I agree with what you said there. As far as that Mustang. It's supposed to be in GT5:tup:
