And here you all are, moaning about having to wait another possible 6 months? :lol:. GT5 is the future! Have a bit more foresight regarding that little fact and the days may pass a little quicker. 👍

Off topic: Heavy Rain in 23 days!!! Cant wait. GT5 will arrive and i'll be like, 'whut!!? already!?'


I know we dont like to think it, being the perfectionists they are, but how likely is there to have been a catastrophic failure at PD when bug testing? They rekon GT5 is using 80% PS3 power. Maybe more when online. Thats pretty intense for the little black box.
 
Apparently when Kaz says "we can release it whenever we want", he really means 18 months from now.

Funny how comments said by Dan Greenwalt and the cocky Turn-10 crew actually hold some truth now. "We're shipping the definitive game of this generation". It's hard to refute his claim when there is no answer available from the competition. 👎
 
It's hilarious listening to some of you being such hypocrites. One minute Kaz is god and gt5 is king, the next kaz is a pathological liar and GT5 can go to hell. It shows how "real" of a fan you are. When everything is going smoothly, you're all happy and SONY is #1! When it get's choppy, you blast sony, call them scam artists, and you run out to buy a 360.

Kaz is king. He always will be. But it doesn't mean the man can do no wrong. Even the must devoted fans lose patience at some point. It's understandable that some want to vent their frustration.

At the same time, this most recent setback (canceling of the March '10 release date) has more of Sony's fingerprints on it than KY/PD's. If we really want to blame and curse someone, it should be the financial mongers at Sony who are more concerned with padding their fiscal year resume then giving millions of fans the game they want.


P.S. Since you felt so inclined to question others, might I ask how "real" of a fan are you? You've been registered on GTP for all of a month as of today? Interesting.

As far as I'm concerned, non of this is Kaz's doing. He was very confident in the game being ready for march. The fact that we haven't heard from him at all, makes it seem like he's either pissed or embarrassed.
I've been here sine 2004, I just don' remember my old user name or my old email.
Either way, pretty daft of you to ask that. GT series has sold how many copies? Yet this forum has only 100k members and maybe 50 post here regularly. What you're saying is that unless you're registered here, you're not a fan? How many of the GT5 TT are registered here? Are they not real fans? People join or not join forums mostly because of the atmosphere, I can see why many do/don't join GTP.

You know what guys? write what you wan´t, Sony and PD don´t give a **** about our thoughts here...

Let´s say we are 20.000 members... And the rest of the GT fans don´t care... they will buy the game when it´s out... and Sony/PD knows this... And also we 20.000 will buy it too... some of us will buy both versions, the US and the Japanese...

Actually, silence is a common characteristic out of the PD camp. Most GT fans know this and have learned to cope.

Well, hopefully we can get another time trial demo or a NEW demo for the PSN store. That would be amazing. And if they could, try to implement something into Prologue.

I haven't heard a anything about home but you can bet that there will be a garage inspired living space. No doubt about that.
 
Fair enough, i would say settle it online but obviously GT5 isn't out yet.

That would be sweet, i haven't really been on Home. That garage idea would be great, it would be cool to see other peoples car collections. If you could bring your friends over to your pad and watch GT TV and Top Gear on Home that would be definite draw for me also.
 
Yeah, home isn't my cup of tea. I don't understand the point of it, really. I did see a few interesting living spaces available though. In my opinion, home is a waste of resources.

That's mostly the way I view it. It also takes longer than it should to load.
 
frankly...sony brought to us gran turismo game series (EVERY YEAR)....yeah im not kidding

2007 = GT HD
2008 = GT 5 prolougue
2009 = GT psp
2010 = GT 5

i dont know why GT fans get crazy about 5 years of development....

KY Planned to realease GT5 in 2010 since 2005.....but he wont let us down to tell us the realease in 2005

Gt hd concept, gt5 prologue and gt5 are THE SAME project (a work in progress of course) = The fifth chapter of GT on the sony playstation, period.
They didn't give us gran turismo series every year. They just gave us demos, demos and demos.... and again demos at gamescom, demos at tgs, demos in france, demos in belgium, demos in germany... Do I have to tell you how I (we) feel? ... ... ...no.
Gt psp? Just a crappy project that Sony forced PD to develop.

Well PD planned on it since the launch of the PSP.. Remember, as a launch title?

But it was going to be worked on AFTER GT5.. But what better way to kick off the new hand held device than to make PD finally make GTPSP?

see demos and demos and demos of "The Gran Turismo 5 Project" is better than never to see any uncompleted verions of gt5 .....just take a look to final fantasy 13 fans....they are dying for waiting coz they didnt have ... ff:13 prolouge just like we did

No, Kojima's comments where very explicit, he said what he said, there is only one context to the 'release date' and what he said.

He says that release dates are very important to the customer and business partners, and that he considers it a crime to then delay the release and asks for forgiveness.

You have made up an alternate and totally incorrect interpretation that just isn't true at all, and worse, you are now randomly using the "It's my belief that is what he wanted to say" and ramble on trying to now defend your belief as if you can't admit when you make a mistake..

Man up and just move on, we all make mistakes..
 
I hope my PS3 (which I bought in March 2008 especially for GT5) is still working when it will be released...

Its getting old meanwhile...

Considering the amount of, shall we say 'niggles', FM3 is producing, I very much hope they learn some lessons from PD in that quality is an important aspect, and things shouldn't be too rushed, so I hope Fm4 doesn't come out remotely close to GT5!. Of course, there is a happy medium of quality to development time that possibly neither side seem to get quite right.
