Matchmaking is the bane of my existence. So glad Black Ops went back to dedicated servers.

If they implemented a system in GT5 where you could hit "join game" and it would match people together then that would be fine as long as I can still do it the normal way.

:( Even without the words in the actual theme song version this song is still sad. And yes, I'm only 24, but for some reason I like MASH anyway.
 
Did anyone notice the news update on the main menu in GT5? I read this morning that (well this is a bit obvious) they thank everyone who participated in the seasonal events and that from now onwards there will be new seasonal events every Thursday at 1100GMT (or something like that). However the one thing that strike me was that they were gonna add newer Special Events in GT5 as well! Not sure what that will be though, but it says they will announced it once the event is made.

Not sure when that will be, but it could be in a new update soon hopefully... :D

(if possible, can someone quote for me the exact news? I can't find it at the moment and I'm not on my PS3 until later...)

Its a time trial on Toscana (Tarmac) with a Nissan GT-R Spec V. Participating in it will net you a redeem code for a Chromeline Jaguar XJ13!!!
 
I have the special event here in Singapore too. My guess is that its limited to Asia. That would make sense since its in commemoration of the Asia Game Show.
 
That's pretty awesome! The Asia Game Show trial. I love the fact that you can earn a redeem code. It gives me the impression that in the future all chromeline and stealth cars may be available as prize cars, or redeem codes. Perhaps for GT Drivers Club, or other Seasonal Events like the Asia Game Show one.👍

Its fair I guess, Americans got the GT Academy, Europeans got the Chromeline cars redeem code earlier and Japan got their chromeline "Christmas" gift, but now its time for us Asians to get our exclusivity... :lol:

I'm guessing the event must be for Region 3 only so far...

yeah real fair. What about us Australians? We have received nothing. And after looking at this quote from another website, I don't know why.

"Gran Turismo 5's first four days in Australia has exceeded our sales expectations and we are receiving great feedback on the title from consumers. Numbers will be shared in due course, however, we can confirm that after the recent opening weekend this is the biggest exclusive release on PlayStation 3 ever in Australia," a Sony spokesperson says.

February's almost here. Kaz mentioned that there'd be another update in early Feb. I also expect to see the first DLC content in Feb or March. I expect to the the BMW 1M and the two 2010 GT Award winners and Pike's Peak to be the first bit of DLC content...and maybe some Standards converted to Premiums.

Sorry guys, maybe it was a bit selfish of me to say that. :guilty:
But I always thought the Australia is using the Asian/European version of GT5, so you guys shouldn't be missing out anything either. Never realized there was an Australian version of GT5 as well...
 
Seeing that its 6 weeks since the last update, I'm expecting massive updates and improvements. I'm also expecting massive updates and improvements, that will be disappointing.
