It could be either Gornergratbahn or Grindelwald. To me it looks like Grindelwald had that right turn going up, but missing the houses. Or Gornergratbahn, showing a tunnel. I wonder. You're right though, it look like it was construction. We may see it through either the last DLC, or better yet, save it for GT6. It'll be better in that one.

Grindelwald is only a couple of miles down the valley from Kleine Scheidegg (i.e. GT's Eiger Nordwand).

The problem being that the GT2 track doesn't really resemble the village, and Grindelwald is also the name of the surrounding area, including Kleine Scheidegg and Eiger's north face. In other words, they probably just made the GT2 track up, only loosely based on the area.

Eiger is pretty prominent from Grindelwald village, though. Maybe this is some extension of the theme, or a course generator thing. Still a mystery!

That track seems new but also it seems that it is under construction. See the mountains...super flat textures.
I can´t remember the name but that part in particular makes me remember one old track from GT (not sure which one) but also it could be a road curse on any mountain from Europe too. Great addition of course if they give us new tracks no matter which ones.

I don't think the screen grab from a fairly low bitrate video really does the location justice ... I would imagine in reality, the rockface to have the same level of detail as the one found at Eiger Nordwand and the mountains to be of similar quality too.

I'm interested in exactly what challenges we will have in this new GT Academy Pack. Apparently we won't be doing just time trials like previous times so I'm curious as to if that means things ranging from trails similar to the license tests to ones like we've seen in the show.

If that is done by PD , that's the ORIGINAL test track from Gt4.. New york * look at the refection* and SSR11 , but it all looks to real. yet fake...

It's definitely not Pikes Peak. It's probably just an ad for Toyota and Gran Turismo. If it is a track, I have no idea what it is.

He's talking about the menu with the map on it, which to me looks like the Indianapolis Road Course judging by the shape of the corner and the timing line for the sector.

Looks like Chicago on the TGTT, to me at least.

I'm a bit concerned that there are "rounds" in the Academy; I hope older ones stay open when the new ones arrive.

Of all provisions in the event in the round, gifts can be used in "Gran Turismo 5" is placed in the hand.

Google translator isn't perfect but the idea of getting GT5 gifts out of this makes me a little bit more comfortable with the lack of new GT5 content in the last 2 months. If however we end up with a 2012 GTR, Leaf & 370Z with a "GT Academy" sticker on the side and nothing else, I won't be very impressed.

Just about that video...if only the car sounds like that in the game....oh why why why!!!!?? See people, i told that they have the realistic engine sounds of the cars...why not implemented in the game? That´s the question.

And yes it is not just a curve it a track. Which one? That´s the other question. Will be see it in the game in a future DLC? ...

Content and events being released on a weekly basis for 8 weeks really stinks for GT Academy. June is the start of summer vacations, I know I'm not the only one who will miss a couple of those because of vacation. Why can't this just give us everything right away or let us unlock it as we progress? Rant over/

Edit: TokoTurismo, you are right. I really hope future Gran Turismo give us friends rankings, community rankings, and the trophy percentages for license tests and special events. Those screens look really nice and hopefully give us a idea of the future. I suddenly want GT6 on Ps3.

Yeah, that'll be one of the bestest things GT could have to check up everyones records from around the world. It'll be fun to see rankings from the community, and your friends who made the best records so far. Imagine seeing the rankings in the Licence Tests as well, who made a best record in "B Licence, A Licence, and so on." From anyone, or your friends. I'll love to see that, especially in Rally Events. I've always wonder who's the fastest rally driver in GT. I'll like to have GT6 on the PS3 too. :tup:

You can in almost any other game than GT.
It's called leaderboards.
Sarcasm I know. I don't mean it, it just says a lot when people are wetting there pants for such mundane things.
Mundane in as much as this should be in from day one.
