Let us hope that I am wrong about the AGC video and it isn't old footage recycled, but an indicator that Aston/MS/Sony have found a way to work their cars into our game.

God, if you indeed exist, please let Famine be (once again) right ;).

Would Sony have rights on the multi-function meter in the GT-R?

Because maybe Sony and MS came to an agreement about letting FM3 have the GT-R, and GT5 having Aston.

Good point, you can see the PD hud on the FM3 GTR.

Could D1 Grand Prix be on GT5?
I was looking at some old pics and i found this...

Look at the car box.
This could be a hint...

Isn't the multi-function meter Nissan's property? PD may have developed it, but Nissan can be the owner depending on how the legal stuff was handled.

Maybe yes, maybe not. We have a "drift" competition style in GT5P, and we've had in both GT4 and GT5P D1GP cars, so it's not like it's impossible. It's unlikely I'd say...Maybe the box is there just to model another D1GP car.

That's interesting, on this blog, they claim that Kaz himself said that GT5 is coming later because they have problems with the new damage-model they are programming (the production issue), if that's true, than we know who is most responsable for the fact, that PD are redoing it-yep, it's mostly us.:dunce:

Why?
Official D1GP cars are already in Gran Turismo games.
Gran Turismo is the main official sponsor of D1GP.
D1GP is a drifting series from Japan.
Polyphony Digital is japanese, and established in Tokyo.
The E3 video showed NASCAR and WRC licenses. Six months later we saw a new license in the AGS video (SUPERGT).

IMO everything fits perfectly.

One of the D1GP drivers is modelled in one of the trailers if I recall

I remember seeing a certain Ferrari P4 being modelled as well :)
So I bet there will be quite a lot of Ferrari cars, old and new....

damn detailed modelling process 👍

That Ferrari looks pretty good.

Going back a few pages, and back a topic to the Aston debacle, here's what I think.

In the AGS clip, which showed a WIP GT5 with a DB9 on the nurburgring (I think), well it showed a DB9 in a build of GT5. Now, you don't incorporate licensed material (the DB9) into something you're making, much less displaying as a trailer, unless you actually have said license.

WHICH MEANS

PD has the license for the DB9 (at least) to be in GT5.

Now, this new business with MS is all well and dandy for them, but any attempt by any party to try and use the new agreement between MS and AM to nullify the AM-PD license is likely to have a breach of contract lawsuit fired up their backside.

Generally the only way that doesn't happen is if the 'old' company (in this case, PD), says ok we give up our agreement, you have exclusive rights now.

Unlikely to happen.

PD probably have Aston Martin signed up for so many GT games at a time within a certain time period and then simply modify that agreement to fit it around certain cars but that's not always the case with these things. Obviousely though PD had an agreement with Aston Martin during the start of GT5's development as they appeared in GT5:P. Assuming this is the case then nothing MS have got Aston to sign since then can stop Astons from appearing in GT5. The only concern then is how long MS will hold this right for and how that may affect Astons inclusion in future GT games.

My reaction to those 18 megapixel pics on front page:
fap fap fap fap :D Imagine the photo mode: Chose your favorite car, favorite color, tune it the way you like it, put it in a static scene or drift and pause it, take the photo, and then print it at cca 2m x 1m poster size! Holy crap! Awesomeness!👍

...Wish they had a video of that...with quality sound too...

In such a big image I find interesting that ACR Viper. Either it's too much reflection on the car that makes it look purple or...could it be..livery editor? :D

The stripe stays red. Anyways there could be option to change all colors separately.

p.s. In GT5P, there were points for drifting already, so what's your point?

*In James May's voice* Ah, well you see...

The ACR Viper, according to Dodge's official "Build my own" site, comes in 10 colors, and none of them is close to that shade of purple/pink. Really, anything. Neither it's on the options list.

And, my point regarding drifting is that it might be enjoyable for a certain amount of people, and the way it's implemented in GT5P is ok, but I don't want to be forced to do drifting events in GT Mode...

Why the hell is he on Facebook? Do some work, man! hahah

So there's the culprit of GT5's delay! Not sony, not KY, not us, BUT FACEBOOK!!! :grumpy:! PD really needs to block some websites in the office computers....
