Remember TDU (the first one) how poo it was? Well don't expect anything better for the 2nd. First one was an epic fail.

Jep, that is a GT competitior; it has simulation handeling....and...errr....cars? Oh wait girls in bikini's? It has roads. I guess it's a game...you can play it, JUST LIKE GT5....someday :)

Eh?? What is wrong with you guys?
There's no news about GT, as usual, so I shared this with you, assuming you're all cars/driving games fans and you'll appreciate it. doh!:ouch:
And comments about graphics? It's a sandbox/MMO game for god's sake and btw the first TDU with all the settings on high+@high resolution with AA, still, after all these years, looks pretty nice!👍
Bunch of graphical ladies-that-do-stuff-for-money and whiners!:P:tdown:

Might be a nice game but it certainly is NO GT. That's all. I doubt I'll be picking this up though, I mean...well, it's not my kinda game :)

This is afterall the place where anyone who in the most remote way dare to criticize GT get the VIP stone-treatment...

Except it wasn't & had a very large following.

Loving all the hate from the GT fans though. Not even a direct competitor and everyone has to bash it.

TDU was a pretty good game, but the game style and focus has nothing to do with GT style, there's no room for comparisons.

At 1:00 in the video, the CCX collides frontally with another car and just go bouncing in all directions, seems like cardboard car physics to me, the same thing which drove me away from TDU, the cars appear to have no weight at all. However the game will still be good, it's a certain buy to me.

Point is, there's already a lengthy thread on the subject of TDU2. This is a thread specifically about the latest news on GT5.

p.s. There was a HC(unlockable unfortunately) mode in TDU which was sim-like(in some aspects much more than GT4 actually) and also, TDU is in the same sense a car idolizing game as GT is, centering on a car ownership(customizing/garage options/life style sort of) more then just collecting them like cards...

First TDU was a great game, TDU2 can only be better one. PS3 version and almost certain inclusion of support for FF wheels will make it a perfect arcade experience for all open-minded automotive lovers. It will be a amusing and highly addicitive way to shorten the GT wait, AFAIC.

+1. Just shame that this, as well as other programmed racing games to be released during 2010 all are scheduled for the Fall timeframe.

I keep forgetting we are going to have the Stelvio Pass in GT5. Now I wonder though, how much use it's going to have?

Wait a second.. When was that announced and how did I miss it?!?! This is even the first time I've seen a post here about it. Are there screenshots anywhere?

Agree, although, I hope we don't have to shorten the wait a lot...

I threw away my keys after the first dozen installments of the series.

So GT5 is coming out after this? Sounds good.

My worries is that maybe when gt5 arrive on the market the game will have nothing more than other racing games because 24 hour cycle , weather ecc is in tdu 2, certainly will be in forza 4 and maybe in grid 2.

gt5 is running out of time, 6 years of development are too many, at certain point you must choose what insert in a game, you can't insert all features in a single edition of the game otherwise you never publish it

Just because GT5 might not be "first to market" with an implementation of a given "technology", that won't necessarily mean it'll be overlooked, or inferior, or anything else, even.
Sure, it'll have a mild disadvantage, but GT5 will be a bigger game than TDU2; even without weather and changeable time of day, GT5 should totally eclipse TDU2 in most markets.

Midnight Club:LA had all those- Day/Night Cycle and dynamic weather.

just further strengthens my argument

will see how many duplicates there are in 1000 cars, 200 skyline, 150 lancers !!!!!!

That leaves 650 other cars - a stronger car line up than almost any other game in history (the only games with more cars being GTPSP and GT4)

Quick off topic question if I may. Does anyone know how f1 ce handles with a wheel. Thought I'd tap into the great vault of knowledge known at gtplaneteers he he.

I'd suggest our F1CE forum might be a better place to find that specific piece of knowledge amongst the vault.

Great. The FFB is expressive, but it isn't great. I'm quite satisfied with it.
