Yes, it's two cars (but only one in the main dealership under Sweden). But hopefully you are not missing the true point of the post. It's about the lack of Swedish cars and the fact that there's room to GT5 to better represent said nation with Saab and Koenigsegg.

Well this is probably unavoidable when you get one brand from one country, the same can be said of that Seat Ibiza in GT4, just one lonely model from the only brand in Spain.
Not sure every car brand/nation will be represented in a way it deserves to be according to worldwide or even local significance.
Where are all those cars from former Eastern-Europe for instance?

Yes, I do agree. It will never be 100% fair. But as KY recently said, it's up to the fans themselves, his personal preference, and the deals between he and the manufacturers that decide who is in and who is out.

So we, as fans, would have to rally for Eastern Europe for KY to listen to us. Is that something you'd be willing to do?

BTCC clip was tense!:D
But, the 'ring one seems more fun, as he's passing the lower classes while fighting within his own class, awesome!👍
I wonder if there's gonna be such races in GT5, as in 24h, lots of cars, different classes...that would be superb!(you never see more than 15-20 cars, so fps-wise it should be fine...i think:))

Yes I understand your point, and you have right :)

Well I used the Eastern Europe example as it is largely overlooked ( probably justified most of the time as a lot of those cars were truly awful ) but produced some gems like those old Tatra's and those rear-engined Skoda-rallycars but I could probably have named South-America, India or anything not well known to the Western world as well.

Thing is, GT5 is also being sold in those countries/continents and it would be nice to have some ( or only one ) cars from every major car-building nation at least.
These cars and brands are not well known or even sold outside those nations but probably carry as much cultural significance there than Saab or Volvo do in Sweden.

Would I rally for them to be included? Well, although it would be nice to have some of those cars included I fear I will be in a minority requesting them and it will be a pointless exercise even if I could be bothered in the first place.;)
The first thing those Eastern Europeans did after the Iron Curtain fell was buying Western cars, so it might not be very different regarding digital ones....

That's not part of the Acceptable Use Policy. I note that your shift key works for capitalising a proper noun, but yet doesn't for "I" and at the start of a sentence. This is part of the Acceptable Use Policy.

You seem unfamiliar with the AUP despite agreeing to it and its presence on the bottom of every page on this site, and I've given you some leeway thus far. Reread it. Understand it. Move on, as a better person. This thread is about GT5 and news related to it, not a discussion of this site's policies and your understanding of them.

Looks like you take your mod job a little to serious. What is that car you were bragging about but couldn't tell anyone..... I think that sums you up right there.

"Too".

I can't tell anyone. Like you said. Who was bragging?

I think that sums you up right there.

Think what you will. I told you that this thread is for discussing GT5, not your opinions of the site and our AUP. Move on. This is not a request.

To be fair, this is a bit more interesting than discussing something there's nothing to, well, discuss about.

Ay, there's the rub. They are exporting a product, for profit, to a western audience. Although they do not need to change their approach, they are the ones who ultimately decided to sell the product to the west and therefore should not be surprised or insulted by the western-centric attitude of their western-living customers.

Personally, I enjoy seeing PD keep a tight lid on what I am convinced will be a masterpiece. The whole history/culture of GT is a valuable asset to the franchise and they would quickly dilute the value if they were to attempt a Kevin Butler style of marketing.

👍 If I were making games, I'd love to be in the position to not have to take anybody's **** and be able to make the thing on my own terms - Kaz has earned this benefit, whilst many others (worldwide) take it for themselves.

Could this be the most bizarre reason for a red flag ever?
:D How did he get the cockatiel to do stop motion? Skills...

...
...however the fact is that FMC is the most successful auto maker in history. :) (from my backside :sly:)
...

...
But to infer that one manufacturer is 'better' than another is ridiculous.
...

Successful don't mean better, granted, but I still thought this was funny :P
I think Toyota's handling of the issue was most admirable. Supply quality can be difficult to ensure, and at least they bore the initial brunt. I also admire what Ford do; making good quality, well engineered cars for the mid-sector.

That was some of the best racing I have seen in my life.

 @ 4:05 "'I'm going for first!' said John Cleland..." Nice catch Murray! :D

I remember one time camping in the Derby' Dales, and we decided to pop over to watch the qualifying for a BTCC event over at Donington. When we got back, a string of saloons went belting past down the road. Turns out Cleland, David Leslie (apparently passed away in an aircraft accident two years ago! :ill: :() and a third driver, whom I forget, were staying at a posh hotel down the road. We popped over and caught them in the drive :dopey:

Anyway, I, too, want to see more of everything. Koenigsegg would be fun for a bit, I mean they're like unguided missiles, really... The more the better. :dopey:

This really will be fantastic! But the damage to ONLY race cars does not make me that happy but hey "Better than no damage at all[/I"- Earth

I do agree.

I know this is offtopic, but since there is no GT news anyone who Likes SuperGT can whatch it on this guys YT channel http://www.youtube.com/user/PM910 in it's HD glory!

That song they play at the start of the cars run when they show the board of drivers (around 1 minute in on each video), what is it? I heard it on Top gear and could never find it until now. Please tell me you know what it's called.

90% done, again?!

For those who like to blame Sony and Not PD. Kaz comments at this point are just insult to injury to the GT series fans. Kaz apparently couldn't care less about the game enthusiasts.

March 2011 is looking optimistic at this point. As always, I hope I'm wrong.

I wouldn't read into the 90% thing - he could just as easily say it's only 75% complete because they clearly have no defined end point. If they did, it wouldn't have been stuck on 90% complete for the past few months.

Could be that the 90% is indeed finished, maybe already since a long time, the question perhaps should be how far are they with the remaining 10%?

50%? 75%? 93,7576%? or just 20% or less?:)

It does not matter what 90% represents to an objective viewer. Sony/PD know full well the fans are sitting on pins and needles when it comes to GT5. For Kaz to make these repeated statements is simply not helping matters.

My guess is, since they can't tell the real number, this is the polite way of saying "none of your goddamn business"

Yes, 90% sounds like "almost finished" to the casual gamer ( probably not aware he already made this claim ages ago ) and whether they are busy adding the remaining 10% or even add another 35% ( making the 90% claim irrelevant ) or reduce content from the 90% already done, it all is irrelevant to us until they release the final 100% game they settled on.

I see it as a simple way to say "the game isn't ready yet". Let us see if we get info at E3. If we don't, my guess is that those 10% is not going to be done in 2010 for a release, and we will have to wait til TGS for info. But let us wait and see, i still have faith in E3 (naive)

I don't know if PD developers are increasing the amount of content in the game or it's Kaz that suck so bad at math. 90% to 90% in months, that's strange.

I hope that this 90% argument is a joke, maybe Kaz will surprise us with an almost finished product at E3. Six week children, and perhaps then we will know the truth.

I personally believe the game will be launch by Christmas time this year. Also, if I recall correctly, the Time Trial Demo stated clearly that the full game was due to be released in 2010, even though, by then, we had the March timeframe window for the Japanese release. So I think (or maybe wish?) that, at this point, if the game was likely to be postpone to next year, they would announced it already.

If the game is 90% finished, let's think about it: if they started the GT5 project in january of 2005, then they are working for 64 months. That leaves then about 7 months for the remaining 10%, which would put the game for a december release.

Of course this little math has a lot of flaws and the final 10% shouldnt take that long.

Ever since the delay i've always thought GT5 wold ship during thanksgiving or just before, and i'm sticking to it.
