Considering the size and detail put into GT5, which none of those games will come close to, I'd say it's a moot point.

Could not agree more with you 👍 beside Forza3 who really cares about those games, i mean don't get me wrong they are ok games, but no where close to GT. Some folks really need to grow up though.

He is from France Trollface

Im from Venezuela...

Yep, sorry for my poor english :ouch:

Never mind, that was just a Joke, nothing serious :)

I think it's implying while GT5 has taken a very long time to create, it can't be replaced by over 20 other racing games. GT5 is GT5 and we love the heart and soul of their work they put into making the game as best as it can be.

If PD was in charge of Codemasters operations, Fuel, Dirt, Grid, Blur, would all be in one masterminded game. Meanwhile they're selling 4 different games, we're getting everything in one package

You can take it like that, some of those games gave me god times, but none like gran turismo, I even tried Forza Motorsport 3 at a friends house and got dissapointed. None of those games has replaced GT in my heart :guilty:

Nah look at the last thing on his sig :grumpy: What he is implying is that GT5 is taking to long to come out

Also, I was mad because my life is moving on and I still dont have GT5, and now I dont have too much time to play videogames.

Oh and By the way, I just found that in Neogaf, I believe, but Copied and pasted it because I was angry at the time, now im just Indifferent about it and just waiting and keeping on with my life. 👍

I have yet to see a post, that expresses the situation better than yours chepu.

The Kevin Butler TV spot is on the PSN store now, so we may not be waiting to long to see what he does with Gran Turismo 5! :dopey:

...oops!! I mean Man Furismo Jive!

I don't think we will have the passion for any other game like we have for GT, because the creators are so passionate about GT. Nothing can replace it, and if those people have, they aren't as passionate about the game. (que Italian cliche box and I'll insert my pounds haha)

I suspect Kev B's video will get a grand premier at "Hee Tree," or if we're lucky, a few days prior. :D

Hi Guys and seniors,
This is the second post of mine in this forum to share the excitment also regards to the E3 and the final launch date of GT5 at last... I have to say this is the only forum which I feel is truely objective and knowledge-filled and inspiring most of the time, especially in using proper english :)...of course sometimes there were interesting heated debates, but the technical infor shared by you all is truely amazying, everytime when i read, i really feel like you all are actually talking about real cars...gosh. I also intimidated to post even though i drove a normal 1.6L car and love playing racing games in my small country.

I have been playing GTP for a yr only and got a G27 3 mths ago. I read this forum to learn how diy a simple rig for my wheels and to do drifting in GTP. It was really fun. Then I finally got bored and took out my xbox360 with the earlier logitech wheel to re play forza3, pgr4 to make up for the 'lost' parts in GTP... but somehow deep inside me i know.. the gameplay and physics and graphic just could not really match my taste fully...though still enjoyable.

To conclude, I just wish to praise this forum and you guys for always inspiring us to play SIM racing through your passions. Cheers guys.

I agree. There are people on here from all over the world.
You can't expect all of them to have perfect english.
I do not hold that against anyone.
Besides to me its more about what you say than if you have trouble saying it.

However there are some rules to keep the threads from becoming slang and text speak overrun. Thats a different issue.

Didnt Understand your post :scared::

What I mean is your post expresses in such a direct, from the heart way, how myself as well as probably many others here have felt about the GT5 situation.

Being a foreigner myself, and now living in the USA... i think i am qualified to say:

ANYWAYS GUYS... let's move on away from this subject ... and back to GT5

anyone have an idea of what is a "looping out effect/curse" Refer to this thread >>> New Member Talk ???

@ Kobhalt: Ne t'en fais pas, ils sont tous gentils ici... ;) Ne le prends pas personnellement.

Yeah I would never hound anyone for bad grammar here or anywhere who are attempting English. Hell I can't even get it right half the time let alone another language

I still don´t see any stats in the new GT5 Demo or any demo... I wan´t to know the time between the car in front and in back of me, not only the time to #1 car...

Also I wan´t to know my top speed on the actual race and also the other cars...

Why don´t we get any info who made the fastest lap in the race, not only in the stats after the race...

This things are more important then move,3D or 1000 cars...

I agree, SCC has got these features like between/front car, best time
maybe it's already done for online mode also more statistics and online replay

After watching the latest mimaximax video on the you tube site i looked at this short video of an entry screen.

Im just guessing but as it includes the cars he'd used for his videos, such as the Amuse, Arta NSX and yellow Gallardo, im hoping we get a new car selction interface to augment the standard table from GT4, maybe this 3D warehouse style of grouping recent, favourites or types of cars in defined garage areas. It would be a great way to organise the garages and is just pure car porn. would be good if they brought back a little history on the cars as well like you were setting up your own little museum/collection. I wouldnt be surprised if there is something like this as it really makes you appreciate the individual cars more than just selecting from a list.

on that, i reminded me alot of this great car collection video

Bring on E3!

First rule of of the AUP you agreed to:

» You will post all messages in English.

There is always PM if you want to speak to somebody privately.

As for this "looping out" nonsense, I am guessing it has something to do with the audio, perhaps the engine tones being obviously repeating loops. The shorter the loop, the worse it will sound I guess...

I had that exact thought maybe ten minutes prior to reading this! 👍

Don't worry about the intimidation, I guarantee you the vast majority of posters here have equivalent experience to you - myself included :dopey:
Alos, I wish to join you on your praise for the niveau this forum works on!

Be careful of the use of Anglo-Saxon - that only applies to certain peoples of distant "Danish" descent. It certainly doesn't apply to the Irish (as much), for example. I'm sure there's a healthy dollop of Brython in me too, and as far as I can tell, I'm more Angle than Saxon. :D

But I can totally empathise with you over the language thing. I've a tendency to "learn" far too many languages... such that my English now suffers! Anyway, I appreciate the effort (and skill, in many cases) involved in conversing in a foreign language.

First rule of of the AUP you agreed to:
[French compliment to the Forum]

Erm, I think that's nit-picking somewhat. Even my pidgin French could decipher that. Failing that, there's always Babelfish / Google translate.
I know there's a propensity to fear what you don't understand, but seriously, there was no malice intended - the gesture was one of empathy, rather than exclusion to the rest of us (which I assume is why the AUP dictates English).

I bet not as hard as I laughed at the question history... :ouch:

Now, this is a pretty sweet PR and a nod to the faithful TDU community!:)
The admin of the TDUCentral site(Scot) and the one from the French site as well were summoned to France to Eden games offices and were given a special presentation and hands-on experience, on which they are writing reports right now, so we can get a better idea about the game features, what it's like to drive and so on!👍
The reason I'm writing this here is firstly, so you can read a more detailed look on TDU2 than regular journalists give you, if you're interested, and secondly, to show there are companies which care about their fans wishes and respect people who out of their enthusiasm for their game keep the sites up and scour the net 24-7 for info to keep the community up to date.💡
I'm sure it would be an awesome move for PD if they called our head honchos here at gtplanet to visit their offices and have a detailed presentation and hands-on experience of the latest build, so they can ultimately convey that(however much is allowed of course) to all of us and alleviate this epic half a decade wait somewhat...:nervous:
But sadly, knowing PD's modus operandi so far, I don't think that will happen...:(

p.s. If you read the report, you'll see that Eden regularly check the biggest TDU forums to get an idea what people like/dislike, want in the next game and so on...for example, one funny(to me) instance is the indicator lights(reminds you of something?:P) which were moaned about by really a small number of people, but they've read it and allocated one guy to make it happen in TDU2 and now they're in!:dopey: Funny, maybe unnecessary, but a cool move nonetheless!👍

http://www.m8ball.com/index.php?answer=1236352 How about that then?

Onto something different now. I had a dream about GT5 on Thursday night. Me, my father and my mate were walking through what looked like a shopping mall crowded with people. All the shops had LCD TV screens in their windows, all of a sudden there was a really cool GT5 Trailer that started playing with a highly modified Nissan Skyline R34 GTR driving at night on some wet rainy track. There was a voice over guy saying "This is the new Gran Turismo 5.. it's set to feature some awesome cars like Nissan Skylines, Ferraris and a fair amount of Commodores". There was also a modified Holden Monaro but I could only hear it and seen a very vague shape of it.. you know how weird dreams are?

Just thought that I'd share that with you all.

It's got absolutely nothing to do with fearing the unknown! It's about adhering to the AUP, which is rather hypocritical of me since this post (like a lot of posts lately) has nothing to do with the thread topic.

Nice dream actually.:sly:

And here is the official confirmation that GT5's damage-system will suck.

Actually, it has more to do with why we should adhere to the AUP, and I don't mean just for the AUP's sake.

(PM'd for clarity :))
