:nervous:

I don't know if I should give Thumbs up or down for the pic..

Does anyone know what this game will be from "Eutechnyx secret game" it's supposed to rival the gt series.

sorry if link will not work. It was working a few weeks ago but it hasn't been updated and I haven't heard anything lately.

Oh , I remeber that.. good question, the magazine was out about a month or two ago, I think it was BLUR or some other ARCADE racer... nothing to worry about. Altho I would love to see another Competitor like Enthusia.

Does blur have tire wear and pit stops? Because that is one of the things that they said this top secret game was going to have.

Did some searching around and found this. Has anyone heard of this?

Auto Club Revolution

This might be the game they are planning "planned" on telling us about.

It would be awesome. But I'd post it after GT5's unveiling. And I'd also write a post about it in a more lucid manner.
Ammm..the whole point was to get a look and feel of the game before it's released and to inform its biggest fans(forum members) about it!💡
And btw. it serves as an instant feedback to the developers, because, as an example, since it was recently(few weeks ago) announced that only one person at a time, per club would get to drive this rare exclusive-to-clubs cars, they've read the reactions(negative) on the forum and decided those cars will after all be drivable by all club members if they wanted to. So, you see, this back and forth flow of information is making the game better and the developers certainly get more respect, because people can see they aren't ignored.👍

Is there a valid reason I should?
I don't like Burnout or PGR either, and I don't buy racing games to listen to engine sounds. I'm also thinking most racing happens on tracks without traffic, and I'd rather keep it that way. I have ModNation Racers when I want to avoid obstacles.
I suppose driving around a virtual Hawaii that looked markedly better than TDU1 would be kind of neat. A racing MMO on an island paradise would be interesting, especially if there were a few ladies playing. ;) But I'd have to try it, and I have too many games I actually want to play in my stack right now to plunk down cash on a game I might hate as much as PGR.
Yes there is. You should get the game on PC, where there is this HC mode which is unlockable basically when you finish the game in normal mode(which is PGR-ish I guess). HC mode is supposed to be a sim mode, and while it has some flaws(it was added as a bonus only on PC version as far as I know), it nails down fundamental physics and handling relatively well. It's not LFS, but it is realistic and you can have lot's of fun driving either precisely or drifting around like a crazy monkey(my choice often;)), whichever you prefer.
Anyway, I won't give you a review of the whole first game here, but I suggest you get the game second hand cheaply, maybe even download someones saved game(finished), so you can jump in the HC mode straightaway(with a good wheel of course) and start having fun from the get go!:D And btw, there's almost any sort of car(and sounds for them) you can think of, downloadable as a mod(easy install) if you want to expand your game in that way...
Here's a taste:
A bit of precise driving.:sly:

Doooriftoooo!:dopey:

Oldskul American downhill Togue.:D

* All vids are recorded by me, in HC mode, with the MOMO wheel, the cars are mods made by forum members and all sounds are made by me.:)
If you want to see more, there's plenty of vids on my youtube channel.

So what's so critically off with Gran Turismo that has to be changed? The sound? Sorry, but as I said before, I don't buy racing games based on the sound, or I'd be fondling PGR right now, and maybe Forza. Handling? The TT demo puts GT5 in league with some of the best racing sims. Refinement? Prologue has the best modeled cars in gaming, some of the best handling, amazing replays that can easily fool people into thinking it's real life racing footage. And it's two or three years old. Just sayin'.
Well, there's nothing critically off with Gran Turismo, we're talking about refinement here. As big a fan of GT as I am, I can still see all the areas in GT that need refinement. Basically, the only thing I would not touch as it's so good that it doesn't really need to be any better is the cars themselves(modeling), that's always been a GT's strong point, BUT IMO, physics need fine tuning, AI and sound need complete overhaul, track detailing is all over the place, some details are great, some are PS1 material(also they should work on livening the track surroundings with any kind of motion and happening), greater car customization would be nice, more on-line options, missing effects like skidmarks and so on...You've been on the forum and know the critique by now, most probably, so I don't want to repeat it all...The point is, every game needs more refinement, including GT5.(but sadly, for some of those things, we'll probably have to wait a few more years, until GT6...)

He knows what he's doing. Fantastic driver. Just makes it look so easy.
He knows what he's doing and compared to most of us is a fantastic driver. But in the company of other racing drivers he doesn't stand out as anyone special, just competent.

I don't know about that. His performance and lap times are surprisingly competitive. But if you mean he's not the best driver in the world, that's a pretty rare mark. ;)

GT People – Fuji Speedway
(To the tune of YMCA)

Young man, there's no need to feel down.
I said, young man, pick yourself off the couch.
I said, young man, 'cause E3 is in town.
There's no need to be unhappy.

Young man, there's a place you can go.
I said, young man, when you're heavy on dough.
You can go there, and I'm sure you will find
Many cars to drift around with.

It's fun to race at the Fuuu Jiii Speed Waay.
It's fun to race at the Fuuu Jiii Speed Waay.

They have everything for you men to enjoy,
A playseat with Everything.

It's fun to race at the Fuuu Jiii Speed Waay.
It's fun to race at the Fuuu Jiii Speed Waay.

You can get yourself pole, you can have a good race,
You can drive whatever you feel ...

Young man, are you challenging me?
I said, young man, what do you want to race?
I said, young man, you can make real your dreams.
But you got to know this one thing!

No man it drifts all by itself.
I said, young man, put your pride on the shelf,
And just go there, to the Fuji Speedway
I'm sure they can help you to say.

It's fun to race at the Fuuu Jiii Speed Waay.

Young man, I was once in your shoes.
I said, I was down and out with the blues.
I felt it would never be here.
I felt that time had stopped but then.

That's when Kaz came up to me,
And said, young man, why don't you take a seat.
We'll take you to the Fuji Speedway.
SOON you will be back in the race.

It's fun to race at the Fuuu Jiii Speed Waay.

Young man, young man, are you challenging me?
Young man, young man, what do you wanna race?

Fuuu Jiii Speed Waay ...

I'm so so sorry :nervous: It was a Gorgeous Trees impulse thing...

In my opinion, Kaz's new hobby is going to be a very positive influence on the series. He has gone from a "car lover" to a "part time racer".

It makes me very excited to see what he has in store for us as the years go by.👍

...and go by...and go by...and go by...

I don't know about that. His performance and lap times are surprisingly competitive. But if you mean he's not the best driver in the world, that's a pretty rare mark. ;)
Like I said, he's competent, as in he can hold is own. I just meant that he doesn't stand out as a particularly special driver in the company of racing drivers. Some people amusingly talk about him like he's up there with the Senna's, Makkinen's and Stewarts of the racing world simply because he's Kazunori Yamauchi. He's competent but far from those people. I'm just being the Yang to the Ying ;). I do enjoy seeing him race though, mainly because of who he is.

Well he's no Senna, but then again, he hasn't been racing religiously since he was 5 either, and until he was 30 he had virtually no connects in the automotive world, AND he spends LOADS of time on his projects.

So for him to do as well as hes doing with as much time as he has to commit and with everything else going on, its remarkable.

Hi guys a little question ,today I saw the Spyker c8 aileron and was wondering has there been any hint or rumor about its involvment in GT5 ?

OT-> Acura's (under Highcroft) ARX 1st on the P2 class!? Wut!? :boggled:

BT-> Well E3 is getting close...I'll try not to get all jumpy and stuff. :indiff:
