And? That doesn't give anyone any indication relating to the locations - variations debate that regularly pops it's head up.

It also says the Ring is Premium.

Not sure what that's all about. Unless, of course, this is referring to a more expensive GT5 offer with more tracks and cars.

But KY said the game will be complete with all the features at launch so I'm likely wrong.

Just a thought, is this whole Premium car/track thing possibly related to the new Premium version of PSN which they are planning to release soon?

Nice Video but..there are so many cars... why they always take the same one?
SLS... SLS... I'm tired of it !

Two reasons:

1. PD didn't acquire as many new manufacturers as hoped.

2. They are saving the best for last (or will keep it a surprise until the car list is shown). Or until you pop the disc into the PS3.

Nice idea but very unlikely.

IMHO it's about the old GT HD Premium and GT HD Classic.

"Classic" content is data taken from GT4 development.
"Premium" content is new data.

That's not what he means, when you see the guys making the videos setting up the race they scroll through the cars and a lot of them pick the SLS. We know GT5 will have over 950 cars, I don't think anyone is concerned that there won't be as many cars as expected.

Here's the old Nurburgring. (notice the direction of the shadows at the start).

And here's the new Nurburgring. (notice the shadows are almost opposite from the first video). (skip too 2:58)

Exactly! I want to see Gallardo gameplay!

Sam48: Those are two different versions, The Ring in this current 24h demo is "new"

No, they are both the normal Nurburgring (non GP circuits). Unless you mean that they are a different builds, but why would PD through in an effort to reverse all the shadows? Because, from what I can tell, the track is exactly the same, and there are no signs of visual improvement. I think it's part of the new weather system/day cycle.

Because they almost remade it."Update" to what it looks like NOW, not 6 years ago.I mean it's just "OLD" (6 years ago) Nurn from GT4, and "NEW" (most recent build). And yes - shadows are different, but it doesn't matter.

Changing the shadows is no problem, all PD have to do is alter the light source. I can do that with 3d models in a matter of seconds and then re-render it.

But why would they change the shadows at all? Because they had nothing better to do? I think it is a sign of day/night cycles.

Just my opinion.

Agree on that!
Why need to change shadows?Because "old" (gt4) Nurnburgring were made at different time of the year AND time of day.Simple.

Even if the shadows in the old GT4 Nurburgring refer to it, say, winter. The new "summer" version of the track shouldn't have completely reversed shadows. Sure, shadows shift a bit when seasons change, but it's not like shadows somehow reverse when seasons change.

I agree with Talon. I think it's part of the day/night cycle feature.

You know the sun moves during the day right...? They can always decide to re-model it at a different time of day, where the light source and therefore shadows, will be in a different place. It's no indication of a night/day cycle.

Yes, but why would they bother? What was wrong with the older model? I see no reason to change the old Nurburgring shadows/time of day.

I don't think they are the same builds with just different times of day. Watch the jump at 04:14 in the SLS video, the jump is less steep than the one in the 370Z video.

I don't see any difference really. I paused both videos in separate windows, then compared them side by side. It could be that the shadows make it look less or more steep depending on which one your looking at, but from what I can tell, they're the same.

We see OLD 'Ring - day.We see NEW 'Ring - day again, but shadows are opposite. How it can be day/night cycle? As I mentioned before - shadows change at different time of the year PLUS time of the day.So it can be opposite but no mentioning day/night cycle.

Well, I agree that it doesn't necessarily mean day/night cycles, but it could right? For example, if the first video was shot at 8:00 AM, and the second video shot at 4:00 PM, wouldn't the shadows be somewhat opposite even at the same time of year? Correct me if I'm wrong.

You guys just have to look at how easily the day/night cycle works in Mod Nation Racers (at about 7:30min in the video), shouldn't it be pretty easy to do the same thing in Gran Turismo? Sure it would be a complete different system but I am confident that there will be a dynamic day/night cycle ...on the other hand I don't think that there will be dynamic weather, but that's another story.

I already explained that shadows at a different time of year would NOT be reversed. However, like Talon said, a shift in the time of day WOULD cause a reverse in shadows.

@Happy Corey- I think GT is a bit too complex for a track editor. It's kinda like saying, "Mario Kart has 40 tracks, so GT should too". I could be wrong, but I wouldn't get my hopes up.
