This amount of news, rumours and al that remind me when a german guy here on GTP said he was talking to a PS executive or something similar, and the executive said him "If GT5 is getting closer, you`ll have a plenty of news and information, and when i say plenty, i mean plenty"
Do you remember this guys?

Haha I think that was me, I'll go search for the post
At least that's what the guy running the german PS Blog said to me about 3 months ago.

:)

And it really looks like he was right 👍

I was sure they would launch last xmass. They failed. I'm sure they will launch in E3 (LeMans over by then with hopefully a win or one/two by the GT5 sponsored cars), new PS3 hardware, SW and PSN support already launched yesterday, and Bravia 3d Tv coming out as well.

But they may fail again... Maybe the "moove" controller is not ready yet... (I'm being sarcastic again)

As long as it doesn't hit a 2D tree...:)

As long as it will show where it lost traction and show skidmarks. :dopey: Oh, and make sure the backup lights work when you hit reverse to back out of that 2D tree. :yuck:

See new Killzone, SOCOM, and Gran Turismo video tonight on Spike – PlayStation Blog

Next week, E3 will assault your senses with so much news, video, and images that keeping it all straight is going to be difficult – especially when you add in hefty amounts of anticipation. Why not prime your eyes, ears, and brain and get a head start on the info download tonight?

just saw this on facebook

Is the hype train one of those "premium" models, as that might give us a glimpse of the better damage model when it crashes?

*Rumor*

I have just heard from a source (yet to be determined if reliable) that GT5 is stated for release September 2010.

The reason for it's delay was not the game, the game is in fact complete. The delay was due to the 3D technology in the TV's. Every Manufacture used different methods to produce the 3D, and GT5 glitched badly depending of the brand of TV.

So it was delayed to I guess work out the issues, whether they were GT5 itself or the TV's. It wads delayed to work on the PS3 firmware or something.

But in the end it was not an issue with GT5 or PS3 firmware.

So from now until September or even the rumored 27th August date, I guess mass production etc will happen until then.

Either way, where I live, most stores have received official promotion material from Sony, such as dummy boxes and what not in store this week and it is all going on display as I type this.
That could hardly be true, because the PS3's implementation of 3D-signal is easily compatible with 3D-capable HDTVs.
I think, even if there was any problems, it is TV manufacturer's fault. Every 3D HDTV is supposed to accept the 3D signal with certain specifications, and they were met in PS3.

GT5 is 0.6% out of +12,000 votes... :nervous: 👎

i did my part... hopefully all of GTP will vote and bump that number to 1% at least...

Surely you can't be that surprised, not after all this time?

Some have gotten tired of waiting...

Do you really think Dead Space 2 and Call of Duty Black Ops are both that much more popular than Halo Reach for example? Those results have been skewed be it by bots or something.

Not that it really matters.

There might be some interest lost in GT5, but I think once these 'announcements' are out, and then LeMans is over, then E3 right afterwards, yeah- GT5 will more than likely be very relevant and in peoples minds. The best thing they could do is set a release date after showing more content. If they do that and store start to take pre-orders, just watch as GT5's 'stock' rises.

Dead space has votes from facebook. I would expect GT5 to have around 3 or 4% realistically. But then I'm one of the ones that think people don't care about GT anymore.

The majority of people that are interested in GT games do not go onto gaming forums but simply buy when the game releases. If internet hype = sales Demon Souls would have sold 10 million by now.

So hyped for GTTV, I'm sure there will be something new to show today and then at E3 they will basically have Kaz on stage giving final details about the game and the all important release date.

GT5 is up to 1% (yeehaa) 135 votes. A couple of these games are around the 5k+ range total votes; and you can vote as often as you want. (booo, unrepresentative)

I' sure 80% of the people who voted (the poll by gamespot too) are teenagers (mostly on X360's side) who don't give a damn about GT5. Real amateurs are older and many of them don't even visit these sites.

Chill....

I still visit Gamespot just to check if there is news about GT5 lol. But hey I voted for GT5 btw.

I think GT5 recieved about 3,500 votes, thats about 4% so pretty low.

Kaz and others can say what they want, but car damage is essential to a true "driving simulation" experience. The same is absolutely true in terms of sound, skid marks, back fire, night-day cycle, weather, car/tire degradation, etc., etc....lets hope PD delivers, and soon.

Meanwhile, enjoy Le Mans this weekend :)

I heard, no new GT5 footage was shown on Spike...

Whoever told you that was dreadfully wrong, sure there wasn't alot of new stuff but I assure you that there is material in the trailer you did not see in the previous trailers.
