Finnish retailers always like to rip people off, eh? đź‘Ž I bet you can get it from Amazon for half the price!

Talking about Amazon, I wanted to pre order the Collector edition there, the problem is that the release date is set to september 30th and they do not mention a collector but a "special edition" with a price of 75.90€. I had a laugh then sent them an e-mail asking if their "special edition" will correspond with the "true collector", if the price was subject to change because Sony announced 99.99$, and last but not least the release date was officialy announced yesterday at E3 conference and set for November the 2nd.

Their answer is that the release date of Gran Turismo 5 is well for the 30th of September as provided by the editor of the game (). They do not have information about the special edition because they do not have any copy yet (really?đź’ˇ). And the price is of 74.90€ because of their policy of advantages for the customer, low prices, blah blah blah...

I had a second laugh and clicked on "the answer satisfied me".

@ the cockpit discussion:
When standard cars are only the cars from previous GT games and DONT have a cockpit view, then i have the question what this picture is then about?

Here you can see the BMW M5 wich already was playable in GT4. So this one has to be standard, right?
But you can clearly see that the interior is modelded.
Also when you watch the Gallardo video on Madrid or Rome (i just cant remember) youll see the M5 and the interior of it.
So i guess this should be cleared up by now.

If you watch the video with all the cars playable at e3,
the M5 is listed premium.. as far as i can see

What information have we got from those general gaming sites that we didn't know before the event? Oh aye, nothing, save the groundbreaking news that GT5 has reverse lights.

What did Sage bring us? A video - the first video - of day/night transitions that you apparently completely missed in your zeal to criticise him.

Oooh, I dunno. Perhaps if you were taking some time out of your life to travel several hundred miles, uncompensated to satisfy the cravings for information generated by a nigh-on two-hundred-thousand-member website, your criticisms might have grounds for consideration - rather than just whining petulance.

You're not happy with the information we've brought (despite missing a chunk of it completely)? You should have booked your own tickets to LA then.
Wasn't that the E3 trailer?
I completely agree with you that nasau is out of line about calling the GTP presence pretty much pointless.
We have the first hands-on, user created night/day cycle video.

HN7
Just a headup for anyone with G4TV channel, Kaz and a NASCAR driver will be there to talk about the demo. Also they will do a live time trial competition on the spot. The coverage start at 9 AM EST.

Actually, the coverage that started at 8am is the replay of yesterdays show, episode 5. Episode 6 is at 4pm EST.

Thanks for clearing that up, dave_sz. I thought I had missed something for a moment there...

...even though the Twitter tab on my Touch Pro phone blows up with gtpnews and psblog news when anything to do with GT5 happens. :D

I think they are the same pictures we got yesterday, judging by the number of them. (Exact same as yesterday)

But then its clear that the guy posted complete **** on eurogamers, or how it was called.
He stated, that the cars from previous GT Games were Standard.
And that there were additional 200 cars wich were premium.
The M5 is from GT4 so it should be STANDARD regarding to him.
But when its not then its clear that he had no clue of what he was talking about.

He also says the Dodge muscle car(challenger)is standard although you can clearly see it's visible interior from the pictures.hmmmmmmmmmmmm

I dont know why people take what these people write to heart. According to the other guy we were not suppose to get a video and get very little detail about GT5. That was wrong if you guys seroius think that only 200 cars will only have cokpit view i don't know what to tell you. In the end GT5 will be amazing.

i think the Premium cars will have DESTRUCTABLE interiors. As in, as the car rolls and gets damaged, so the interior gets damaged.

Also, it would sound like more and more cars could end up being upgraded to Premium after the game is released. The only reason why ALL the cars aren't is because it takes too long. So, they could be working on making premium models for more cars.

Interior just refers to the non-cockpit related interior of the car. The 'inside' of the car, the engine, the suspension, gearbox, fuel pump, ... you name it.

Who wants to bet I'm right? :P

Has anyone gone to the GT5 E3 expo in Playstation Home? Nothing interesting there?

I went there, and it was nothing special. You could see all the demo booths with TVs and DFGTs, but you couldn't use them. All you could do was view the trailer, which I had already seen from E3.

I'm betting on that as well. Translation is misleading people.
Not the "interior" of a car but the "inner parts" of it.

This has been discussed before, and being associated with damage, I see at as hood and fenders, and doors flying and exposing "the inner parts" of the car, engine, suspension roll cage, driver, boot, etc

Sure wish Translator-San would check the "interior" of a dictionary before the words leave his "exterior" but since he seems to be a permanent fixture for some while now suggests he must do something right apart from reaching some sort of cult-status for all the wrong reasons on a forum like this........

I think you're breaking the head for anything on the official website where there are specifications of how GT5 will be absolutely no talk of the absence of internal standardization for cars

p.s. the network tells too many lies :sly:

excuse my English but I use google translator

Oh.. my.. goodness..

I just found the proof of reverse lights in GT5

I was kind of hoping Kaz would leave it out as an 'up middle finger' to all the 'tards that wanted it! Never mind. At least they have one less thing to moan about

We have lot of car's from GT4 in GT5P and they all have cockpit view!!! As example Nisan Skyline GT-R R34 SpecII Nur, Honda NSX, Mazda RX7, Ford GT, Dodge Viper GTS, Mercedes Benz SL 55 AMG, BMW M5... So am 100% sure that ALL car's will have cockpit view!!!

one would hope that Sage can ask some intelligent questions to clarify the matter once and for all in this closed door briefing.

On the www.e3.G4tv.com site, the crawl up top says: TONIGHT 6PM ET: E3 LIVE 2010 - A live demo of the long-awaited GRAN TURISMO 5. Definitely worth the wait!

Yes last night on G4s views and reviews or whatever it was called of the Day 1 of E3 they said they would have demos of Gran Toureeesmo 5 later today
