Uhm, I really don't want to create a new thread for this...
(and I know I already posted it, but everyone was just so busy with the cockpit thing)
But did anyone notice the 'backfire' coming from the Pescarolo in the standard vid? (around 0:08) or do I see something that isn't there?

It's probably just the access fuel in the exhaust burning off. It happens all the time in racing. And GT4 featured it, as well. It was kind of cool to drive the Viper, and down shift into a corner and watch the flames pop out from the side exhausts. :P

Well, they've reset the price of the special edition - which I presume corresponds to the collector's edition, due to 100€ being about 100$ give or take

But an Ultimate Edition? I think the french amazon know something we don't... at nearly 200€ that is A LOT of money for a single game...

Ultimate maybe equals GT1-5 all in one box? PURE GUESSWORK HERE

EDIT: In any case I'm not going to fork over 200€ for GT5, even with the older games in it, 100€ is quite enough thank you very much

I know, that's actually what I meant, but the first time I see it in GT5;)

The C de La Sarthe in GT is up to date, the section where that incident happened was a small crest at the end of the mulsanne , which in recent years has been repaved and slightly flattened, so probably no.

Also, more car nerdery, it was a Mercedes CLR that flipped, while we will have the CLK-GTR, a car did not have the aero issues that also contributed to the blowovers.:dopey:
 
In any case I would still like to see a photo posted here showing the interior of a car with its roof down in GT4.

My theory is if they had cockpit detailing then why would they not have it now?

I would like to return to that issue.

I sure hope GT WON'T have a "reset" button but what are the solutions if you end up on the roof ?

- race over - OK but what if it happens after 20h of a race ?
- you "appear" in PIT and loose some time for "repairs"
- you get transported by some "gun carriage" type of a car and appear in PIT, lose time

I don't see last one happening so which one would be, how do you think ?
Any other possibilities?

I hope the 30th November is wrong, although I suspect since we know it will release in November they just put the last day to cover their bases.

BDW if ending up on the roof wouldn't be an instant race over the SC would have to show up - 17th car on the track ?;)

Motorsport marshals contribute to more enjoyable, more efficient, and safer motor racing. They are responsible for the safety of competitors and are stationed at various points of danger around race tracks to assist them in case of any collisions, accidents or track problems. Marshals are also known as course workers, corner workers, corner crews, turn marshals, corner marshals, track safety workers, or other equivalents
 
Just a little something, when I was trying to find out what the other grey words were saying - ''Customization''

I don't know in what detail but after pausing the end of the one of the official videos. (it only does everything...) I managed to pause it on ''custimization''.

Never mind - I thought you were calling me (as i names calling) Motorsport marshal for something I wrote.
A lot motorsport marshals would be needed to turn over Bugatti Veyron ;)

I think the day/night transition be available in all real world racing courses, like Nurburgring, LE MANS, Monza etc. and for a few invent tracks based on the assumption real world courses like Toscania. ;)
