As for me I don't want a "player based pit crew management",first the thing that you will be doing there is driving, the current system in GT4 is the best for these situation you take the decision about the tire compound and maybe the fuel to be added, and for 24 hrs. races no save point,I know a lot of people will not like this but that kills the spirit of endurance racing in the first place, besides of that the AI can be used by an B-Spec mode so no need of changes there, the fact that the driver do something that is not meant to be done by the driver is rather pointless, again is just my opinion.

At most you need to stop on your mark, hold the wheel tight and lightly press the brake. I think that would be cool.

But this is just fantasy, I don't think it will happen.

They need to give us full pit control of the car, and leave the pit crew to your budget, stage 1,2,3 pitcrews for hire depending on the level of competition.

But Pitting is a very important part of 24h, endurance and NASCAR races, a race can be won or lost in a pitstop.

Let the Pitcrew take care of the dirty work, but give us at least the ability to screw up if we mess around, clock penalties for speeding in pitlane etc.

I am hoping that the pit stops can have an option to manually enter buttons to get out as fast as possible. or an automatic option that makes mistake occasionally

 GT5

Pit lane speed limiter and giving the control to us to take the car to pit-box and exiting should be there. But this idea is also good although little frustrating as you can loose some valuable sec :P

What if the driver comes in and theres a sign " Back in 5 mins".

Or pulling into PD's pitstop, only to find "coming soon". Lol.

Maybe PD will make it so your friends who are watching the race will be your pit crew and will have to do all the work with the move controllers :sly:

💡 Ohh and a skidmark question... (please grow up ) I was looking at some photos that Id take on Forza a while back and notices that my car which I had taken a photo off doing a massive power slide around a bend, was riding bang on some skidmarks... nothing weird you think, but the skidmarks stretch out way ahead of the car... as though the car is riding on rails. My only conclusion is that the game maps in the skidmarks well before the car hits them... either that or I was drifting exactly over some old ones.
Maybe this is why PD never really bother with skidmarks, it may sound simple but the processing to make great real time marks on the road could be put to better use elsewhere in the game. Sorry for the short relaps to old rants... we now return you to the arts...

I believe Forza simply leaves the skidmarks on track when you rewind a replay

I've got an idea. Why not (for all who use a DFGT like myself) have PD make it so that the twisty button thing (the one that lets you adjust TC, ABS, etc.) let you adjust, by means of spinning and clicking, the tires you want, how much fuel you want, and which side to change tires on and so forth. I think it'd work quite well.

It's a smashing idea although for me it would have to be a simple YES/NO but using the dial to navigate the simple menu. Just like it is in real life, the job of the driver is to race and win. The garage and pit crew take care of the rest.

Does anyone know anything about mileage in GT5? One of my favorite details about the Gran Turismo series is being able to keep track of how many miles i have on each car. I noticed the mileage meter wasnt in prolouge, anyone have any idea if it will return for GT5?

Now Sony reveals to us the utility of the ps-move in gt5!!

Skidmarks maybe in yet. I've seen no denial of them. Only chuckling off Kaz.

I believe they will be in the game.

Why go to the trouble of creating the tire smoke without them.

I think this is one of their omit, till the last minute deals.

Although I have no idea why, its pretty much old hat now.

That is fake. The reason being, the sensor tracks the coloured orb on the end of the move controller.

If you put it in that wheel, it can't be tracked I don't think. Unless the wheel holster thingy has a sensor in it.

It's most likely see through. It's probably real, or at least it's going to be made soon.

Remember these are just 3rd party accessories, something you can make yourself and sell on.

Whether a game is compatible to be played with "move" being rotated is another matter.

P.S. It's by the same people that made that Red HKS pad.

It is real enough to be up for pre-order on Amazon.

The Move controller does have motion sensing built in, but without the camera seeing the orb its accuracy is not much better than the Wii without Motion Plus. The camera/orb combined with built-in motion sensors gives the full effect. At least that is how I understand it.

As a third-party peripheral though I am curious just how much official support it has for GT5. The main problem with that layout that I see is that none of the buttons appear to be conveniently placed.

Covering the orb is a very basic design flaw and will severely reduce if not completely remove the accuracy/capability of the tracking sensor.

Buy this piece of plastic to make your gaming experience worse. Better off using the sixaxis sensor on the standard pad to be honest.
