Backfire!

Looking very good. Every fire is different colour. blueish and yellow. Its very realistic. we can make barbeque on these fires.

First we would need to know the platform... the one with the V8 engine or the hybrid (not even sure if the original was a hybrid) before throwing wild guesses (PD didn't release any details or did they? The press conf didn't mention anything more than the name).

Just noticed multiple light sources casting shadows on the dash in the night section of the 2010 Visual Effects Video on YouTube at about 32 seconds in. WOW!

Only thing that bothers me about TGS is the revealed premium cars. None of them appeal to me and I had hoped for some Japanese sports cars instead.

From motortrend:
Other firsts for Gran Turismo 5 include night racing in varying weather conditions, karting, vehicle damage rendering (in three stages), vintage Le Mans racing between Ford, Ferrari and Jaguar, and rally driver instruction by world rally champion Sebastien Loeb, who makes a special appearance in the game.
Interesting! What three stages could those be?
Is he talking about scratches, deformation and mechanical damage?
Or standard, premium and race car damage?
Or is it just levels of damage,ie. just cosmetic, cosmetic and mechanical normal and c. & m. realistic perhaps? questions, questions...

From the official GT website the three are:

Physics-Affecting Damage
Dirt, Scratches, and Dents
Separation (dislocation) of Body Panels

I watched the videos on the news page a couple of thimes this morning and the new shown features are incredible. I noticed something in the La Sarthe night racing video at 2:44.
I'm not sure if brights are confirmed, but do you see the driver flshing the guy, how hits him, too? If this is the case, I wish the difference between low beam and high beam would be bigger.
What are your thoughts?

:dunce:
Isnt that the PD/Citroen GT Race car? I wonder what the specs are of that car compared to the Road version. Anyone know?

Well it is faster the the 500bhp race cars its against and as the road car now has the fors gt engine I think this is the GT1 spec ford engine so aroun 600-700 bhp.

I have seen those but they are hopefully only a handful of those that will make it to GT5 as premiums. I want Prelude, 3000GT, Eclipse, 300ZX and SVX Alcyone just to mention a few.

Same here, and a also a few newer one's PD seems to have forgotten. Like the facelift RX8, FD2R Type R and Legacy STi.

Ok PD, you wowed us with the amazing graphics,
people who have played the latest demos testify that the physics and the feel on the steering wheel is great...now, please, finish the job with the remaining 1/3 of the sensory spectrum, which is the sound!💡 You promised us a total overhaul. Give us a final trailer with no music at all, other than the ode to joy, performed by all the awesome engines you've got hiding in those cars! You can start by adding sound to the start of the latest trailer and its intro soloist, the LFA. Make us proud and happy, we know you can do it!👍

SNIP

Take it to the sound thread, and stop whining.
