Would I be wrong in assuming that from left to right the options are : Car wash, Oil change, Paint car, Paint wheels, Wheel shop, BODYKITS!!, ????Perhaps engine maintenence (I know its not the engine modificaions as that is a separate part in the home screen),??? carbon fibre options perhaps??, and finally... The racing mod!??

If only the gif maker (you?) went a little longer, you would see some wonderfull side exit exhaust flames from the ACR. :)

Thats engine and chassis overhauls, it tells you in the GT auto description just below the GT Auto logo (top left)

My guess is, Car Wash, Oil change, Paint car, Paint wheel, wheel shop, Aero shop, Engine tuning, Weight reduction & Racing mod.

Read the text under the GT-Auto?

Wow, I havent seen the Survolt before, I prefer the look of the GT but the Survolt is like a baby GT.
Did PD help with that one too?

I don't think so. As far as I know, PD designed only the interior of GT concept too, but I think there's a good chance of Survolt ending in GT, because of the good cooperation and also, Citroen's plans to make a one model racing series with Survolt, which would fit in Gran Turismo nicely. We'll see...

You raise a valid question. Can we paint standard cars? I don't see why not but you never know.

Well the thing is seeing as body parts are modelled separately, its almost certain that we wont be able to add body kits to standard cars. But I imagine spoilers and wheels should still make the cut. I just hope we can paint standard cars, and do race mods on them aswell....

I doubt standards will be able to be race modded(besides the addition of a spoiler) due to the way they were built. I hope the car still spins when you wash it.

like sher_da_putt states, i think its highly plausible to get bodykits and racecar makeovers, it hasn't been confirmed, but that doesn't mean its not in there.

it sure does look like the option to add a bodykit to the car since the front and rear bumpers, sideskirts and spoiler are white, the rest of the car is grey.

it'd be totaly awesome :D

Racing mod was just putting another body on the car, GT1 and 2 had these, so I can't see why they wouldn't be able to put them on standards.

this might sound kinda stupid, but if midnight club la (a game with stupid graphics) can customize all the cars in the game, why cant standard cars be customized? PD had over 5 years to create the game, while Rockstar made this game in 2 years. Just sayin..

It would only work if the mods could be placed directly over the top of the models since the standard cars are rendered as solid objects instead of with individual body panels like premium cars.

However they did it worked in GT1 and GT2. Not sure why that wouldn't work for standard cars in GT5.

That's what racing mods have always been, just a slip-on cover for your car that makes it look fancy and adds a spoiler. Fairly low-tech, and built for solid object models. Putting racing mods on premium cars would be much more difficult, because you have to account for panel separation and such, so they have to be dynamic.

Since Kaz did not disclose much information about customizations during his presentation and durring the breakout session, I doubt we will know what features are available between the premium and standard cars until November 2nd. I think we have all the information we are going to get.

I think the majority of GT gamers wouldnt want a rewind button

He has an interesting point, but definitely not in career mode, but I think it would be quite handy in arcade mode, however I only say this as there is no practice mode that we know of (fighting games). Could be a great feature for polishing attacks on corners at various speeds (the current option is turn around and do it again).

More of a wish list thing really. If it isn't included, I'll be inconvenienced, but not destroyed or disappointed.

i hope we still get to see final damage model. That's really all that's left

I think a nice compromise for this issue would be to have to turn it on in the in-game options menu. Therefore, those who do not want it would not be tempted to use it during a race because the feature would be turned off.

well if you do time trials, those are kinda like practice mode because 1. you're not racing against anyone 2. infinite laps 3. no penalty for hitting walls or going on the grass
