GT5 Master Car List

I notice there is no FPV in the list. I thought all cars from GT4 were going to be included, or maybe it was just accidently left out.

Edit: Also that post about cars becoming premium with racing modifications is a bit silly. If that were the case then the car would be premium from the start

FPV will be in considering that the old Tickford AU V8 Supercar is still there.

I think on GT4 that was separate to FPV and Ford and called Ford Australia or something (I'm not 100% because its been a while since the PS2 died and the PS3 got YLOD so no GT4 :().

'71 Mach 1 Mustang. We now have close representations of both Eleanors:

and the '67 Shelby GT500 Replica from the remake:

We have the '71 Mach 1 and the '67 Shelby GT350

The FPV's from GT4 were very pixilated... some of the worst looking cars on the game. I think they couldn't get them to look good enough on the PS3, so they just decided to remove them from of the game completely.
I find it strange how Holden was missing from GTPSP, but now FPV is missing from GT5. I thought we were capable of transferring our favourite 100 cars?

And yes, I'm not feeling happy about the lack of Australian cars again. I was feeling very excited when I saw this thread a year ago:

GT6 is coming...

Yeah they were separate, the race car was listed under Ford Australia and the F6 (and possibly GT, I can't remember) was under FPV.

I figured it had just been left off the list somehow because the two Holdens (SS and Monaro) are there too. Speaking of which I would love to see a premium monaro...

Not to mention the lack of Australian tracks (Bathurst most notably). I spoke to a guy who met Kaz at TGS and he asked if he was going to include more Australian content but he said that it (bathurst) was not well known enough in Japan and the rest of the world but that he was fully aware of it and would like to attend some day.

This is promising because it will only take one visit to convince him to include it in GT6 (or even as DLC) 👍

Edit: I refer to V8 Supercars and other Australian cars as well as the track (just to keep it related to the original post). With V8 Supercars recently being names as an internation FIA series, I think it is realistic that we might see it in the future

When I bought GT5 (preorder ofc.) I was a bit suprised cause it costed more then I expected. So here goes my theory.
For the +/- 10 euro's more (I have the standard edition without the fancy stuff) you get the DLC free... with limitations ofc.
If you want for example a car with orange seats (can't make a better example)
then you have to pay since it isn't effecting the world wide gaming, but if you want a total new car/track whatever it is free....

I know some games have got simulair options so lets hope GT5 has them.
Also I don't mind if we don't get DLC or patches (IF everything works superb!), because I definnetly will play the game to 100% (a goal that will take some time

If that was the case it would have been advertised as such.

So since I'm new and can't make a new thread I'm just going to throw this up here and a higher up member can repost it:
I went through the car lists for GT4, Prologue, and GTPSP and compared them to the GT5 car list to see which cars didn't get the cut. Here are my findings:
From GT4
Auto Union V16 Type C Streamline 1937
Daihatsu Midget 1963
Ford Model T Tourer 1915
FPV F6 Typhoon 2004
FPV GT 2004
Hyundai Accent Rally Car 2001
Mercedes-Benz Benz Patent Motor Wagen 1886
Mercedes-Benz Daimler Motor Carriage 1886
NIKE One 2022
Polyphony Digital Formula Gran Turismo
Proto Motors SPIRRA 4.6 V8 2004
Toyota Motor Triathlon Race Car 2004

From GT Prologue
Nissan Skyline Coupe Concept '07

From GTPSP
BMW Concept M5 '04

There were a few where the lists didn't match up exactly like the ASL manufacturer in GT4 is now called Autobacs and a few of the prologue cars had slightly different years such as the BMW M3 Coupe listed as '08 in prologue and '07 on the GT5 list. But all in all these are the only missing cars I found. I was also going off the North American lists so if anyone knows if the PAL and Japanese lists have extra cars you can check for those.

I'm quite certain that it's the Infiniti Coupe Concept '06 even though the year does not match. It has an Inifiti logo on it in GT5 Prologue.

I don't know if this has been answered already or not...but for manufacturers such as Mazda and Honda...I noticed that there are multiple versions of the exact same car (or at least I think they're the same). Does anyone know if all three versions of the same exact car are going to be in all games, or did Sony just post the list on their website, combining all regions, where some of the cars are region specific? (If that makes sense) Here's an example straight off the list from the official US gran turismo site:

(S) Mazda Eunos Roadster J-Limited II (NA) '93
(S) Mazda MX-5 J-Limited II (NA, J) '93
(S) Mazda MX-5 Miata J-Limited II (NA, J) '93

Alright, so there to me, looks like is the exact same car, named three different ways. So what I mean is, are all three of these in every game, despite the region, or is there just going to be one of them for the U.S., one of those for the Japanese region, and another named version in PAL regions? Or are there differences between those 3 cars that I don't know? Any help would be appreciated.

Some of them probably have the same interior and where used as premiums. i noticed a lot of the "doubles" have the same interior so that's probably why they got premium status.

The reason for this is so people can own the version they have in real life I guess.

The Spirra is in. Proto Motors, however, is no longer Proto Motors:

S Oullim Motors Spirra Prototype ‘04

It's Oulium Motors.

The reason for this is so PD can claim a higher car count.

Fixed that for ya. Miatas in particular have had a dozen indistinguishable types in GT games. You'd have to know your Miatas to know what is actually different. And in a game, there's probably nothing different but a special color or badge.

I just noticed something about the two premium Mini's on the official car list. There is a Mini Cooper S '05 and a Mini Cooper S '07. In GT5 Prologue the Mini Cooper S is listed as a 2006 model. Which one of two premiums on the official list is the one from GT5 Prologue?

That's strange. The BMW M3 is a '07 in my version of GT5 Prologue. I just checked. Are you sure?

The only ones I found to be mixed up between GT5 Prologue and the official car list for GT5 were these three below.

Infiniti Coupe Concept '06 (Nissan Skyline Coupe Concept '07 in Gran Turismo 5 Prologue)
Jaguar XK Coupe Luxury '07 ('06 in Gran Turismo 5 Prologue)
Mini Cooper S '06 (either Mini Cooper S '05 or Mini Cooper S '07 in GT5)

I went off of the car lists here on gtplanet with the exception of the GTPSP list which I got off of IGN so if it is an '07 and not an '08 then the list on the website needs to be fixed. I was also going to compare the Gran Turismo HD car list but I can't find an official list. Does anyone know where I can find that.

They are the same(looking) as the TUNED cars from GT5P, but seem to have extra liveries.

I think the RM cars are basically identical to the Tuned cars from Prologue, but they will come with simple livery in GT5.

I just checked the Concept by GT list in Prologue:

Amuse/Opera Performance Gran Turismo 350Z RS --
Suzuki Cappuccino /Tuned --
Clio Renault Sport V6 /Tuned --
Nissan Skyline Coupe /Tuned --
Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X GSR Premium Package /Tuned --
Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX GSR /Tuned --
Lotus Elise /Tuned --
Lotus Elise 111R /Tuned --
Ford GT LM Spec II Test Car --
Dodge Viper SRT10 Coupe /Tuned --
Chevrolet Covertte Z06 /Tuned --
Suzuki Swift Sport /Tuned --

SRT10 tuned got replaced by ACR I believe. Swift, EvoX, Skyline Coupe are missing from the official list. Even the 350Z is not there (under both Amuse and Opera Performance). Maybe they don't have Race Mod option, but their body kits are available for purchase?

Nice article about the Red Bull X1.. and I quote "Suzuki F1 track". Anyone know where that is? Is it near Suzuka by any chance?

Small part from article:

"Red Bull Racing, the team that has dominated Formula One through 2010 with Mark Webber and Sebastian Vettel, is claiming the prize with its X1 Prototype. The X1 has a top speed of 450km/h and can generate eight times the force of gravity during cornering, a figure that rivals frontline jetfighters."

The ACR Viper is NOT the same thing as the tuned Viper. The ACR is essentially a race trim version of the SRT10.

Also, I think the tuned versions had the engine upgrades and body mods. Racing versions should be completely different. A tuned car would be street legal, a race car wouldn't be.

Either way, I'll probably collect all the RM versions and tuned version of all the cars that I can. :P

This was posted in the X1 thread last week.

is it just me or is there very little attention to the Subaru Legacy?

No mention of early 1989-93 RS's? No 1999-2003 GTB aside from RSK? No 2007-2009 facelifted Legacy GT's? Not even the new MY10 gets a dig?

The PD-FGT did make it in. But under the Gran Turismo name if I remember correctly. So you'll find it under G :) It's next to the Kart and the Red Bull X1 in the car list.

So it's been confirmed the Red Bull is a prize car? What has to be done to win that thing?

Oh I don't know. No sign of Sebastian Vettel yet so I think there might be a hidden special event involved.
Soo... my guess would be get to the end game credits or complete all special events

The reason for the different years is based on which region you live in.

In the US, a 2008 model car will come out in 2007, whereas around the rest of the world, a 2008 model car comes out in 2008. So, in the US a 2007 model is the same as a 2008 model everywhere else.

That's where you would see different dates.
