Regarding the LFA, they just put a little glimpse of the exhaust to show that the car will be in the game, and after many claims and insistent questioning from GTP'ers they shown it to us. Man, I can't help but suspect PD read this big GT volcano almost in a daily basis, they're giving us all we're asking for. :D

*Considers briefly to start a thread concerning the inclusion of grid girls in the game and then runs off scared by the mighty banhammer... *

Lolz, considering you, as a diamond member, have inversted too much time here, that is too risky.:scared:

It's amazing how many people get up in arms over somebody mentioning their own personal preference about colours and saturation in a video game comparison. Some people here really are (unintentionally) hilarious.

Looking at the colours in that comparison, it was just like choosing between the Vivid and Mature colour settings in GT4's Photomode. And I used both of those, probably close to equally. There's no "right" or "wrong".

@Dan_

Didn't Kaz confirm they were working on it before? It was this car or that Honda sucessor to the NSX.

Yes he did, but mentioned that the car could not be finished in time for the game (When the release date was March, 31), God bless that delay. :D

As they've shown the LFA, I'm pretty sure the Honda HSV will be in the game too, as they were being built roughly at the same time.

Regarding the colorful plethora that GT games always were, I like it, and since every people has a distinct perception and sensitivity to colors, I wouldn't go far discussing that, it's just a matter of personal preference if you ask me. ;)

so what is the deal with the HSV anyways, is it a future production car?

There's no personal preference for color accuracy.

^ Normally yes, but I seem to remember Honda getting a sort of special pass on the HSV to continue competing. Shame there's no road car to be expected... although really, with PD, we can't rule out them having a bit of creative freedom in that sense... :)

Oh, absolutely. With something in isolation, like say, getting Ferrari's Rosso Scuderia the proper shade of red, it's a very easy judgement call, because you can throw it into a controlled environment.

With an entire track, that is supposed to be outside, in a varying environment? Quite a bit harder. If both games are supposed to be simulating the same exact day, with the exact same weather and lighting conditions, and we have some utterly accurate photos to compare them to (since the photos themselves might have been slightly over or under exposed, or had their colour balance tampered with, or any other myriad small detail changes), then yeah, we could make a black and white call as to whether one game nailed their colour representation more accurately. But they're not. They were made at very different times, and undoubtedly the data was recorded in different ways.

This:

It's a successor to the NSX GT and we don't know if it will ever become a road car. There is a rumor for production next year, but we'll have to wait and see.

The road car project was frozen due to the vicious economical crisis, but I would like to see a road going version of that thing, 3.4l V8 ouputting on the north of five hundred bhp, coupled to awesome styling, the LFA's evil cousin :D.

/offtopic

I asked this question to SrRd_Racing and I would like to share with you guys: Since TGS is over, how does you rate the event as a whole?

We saw the fantastic weather effects, some car confirmations, returning tracks and a few surprises like the old VWs, but still, we didn't see rollovers, standard damage and customization, I would give it a 9/10, as I'm pretty satisfied with the bunch of info we had.

9/10 as well. I still want to see basically everything you said, but I also want to know if all tracks will have weather and if only the endurance tracks will have dynamic weather.

wait, so why did Honda get a special pass, sounds kind of cheap

Well on Wiki is says, "They were allowed to use it on the basis that it was based on a production-ready car, even though said car had been cancelled."

Otherwise, I don't think Honda has any performance cars in production right now, that could replace the NSX. Maybe eventually they could release it.

i would love to see a twin turbo supra compete with the new GTR and a possible production honda HSV

I rate this show a 8/10, lots of great news, weather, random point to point rallies, awesome trailer, X1 prototype teaser, the new Gt auto, and no delay.

but I would like to see some more tracks, and that the show didn't leave us with even more questions.

The Super GT rules are NOT the same as FIA GT rules. They are a different governing body first of all. Super GT cars are limited to 500hp, FIA GT1 cars are 600hp+, yet slower around the track, because of their weight and aerodynamics. Take a Super GT car and give it 600HP it'll be blowing past LMP2 cars. They weigh 1100kg compared to 1300kg+ for GT1 cars. On the HSV, it was to be a production car with a V10 engine based off of an F1 engine, like the LFA's engine is. But with the cancellation there was no reason to run that engine in SuperGT, especially since the rules state the cars use a 3.4 liter V8.

I just looked it up, since I hadn't heard of the HSV. Man, what a beast. Such aggressive styling, and looks like it's ready to fly.

^^ i actually thought it was a video game for the first 5 seconds of that video... thanks to the choppy-ness... :D

Just remember when talking about colour saturation on TV/Video- it's easier and better to reduce saturation that it is to add. Almost all TV comes with colour/saturation adjustment. Some like the Sharp Aquos, you can even adjust the saturation in each of the additive and subtractive colour models.

Where on earth did you hear that the LFA will be in GT5? Not a single screenshot, or word from Kaz that it will be in, where do you get your info from?

Other people already mentioned it's in the trailer, but you really need to keep up with the news if you're going to make such accusations. We've known since January that the LFA will be in the game. Kaz himself said they were currently working on it, and he mentioned it again several months back.

actually, in the fan trailer thread, the latest trailer has a shot of the LFA

Same, 9/10. Awesome trailers, especially the weather/night trailer, what a surprise, and some interesting menu screens. I'm pleased. Actually, I'm now at the point where I've seen enough. Never thought I would ever say this, as I was once complaining that they showed so little. No more videos or screens for me, nothing. I'm just gonna wait now for GT5 to be released.
