I hate to be a man of few words but, all I can say is wow! Today makes for the first day I've been excited about Gran Turismo in about a year. Rain, night, the 'Ring.... wow!

Posted this in gt5 news section as well:

I just made a list of all the tracks ever made in Gran Turismo. I counted every track but left out reverse versions, different variations, more than one track in the same city (paris), and I got 58. The motortrend article says there will be 60.

This may be very optimistic but I think it is possible that every GT track ever may be in GT5. This could explain why it has taken so long.

That Citreon looks like it would kill you and your family and your dog if you so much as shift gears a 100th of a second late.

Hmm, I believe the GT only has one gear not including reverse of course, at least the normal version, don't know about the race one.

There's a new version modelled after the real car as opposed to the Prologue version ( which had an imaginary drivetrain ) which has apparantly a Ford V8 engine with a normal manual transmission, the raceversion we've seen recently is probably based on that.

I hope we get the Petrol version (like in RL) because the one at Prologue just doesn't handle well. It's just unbelievably irritating to drive (WRS); Ubber acceleration with its one gear coupled with catastrophic understeer.

The GT by Citroen in Prologue is all electric isn't it? It's how they designed it but the one they made is a V8. I'd like the version that was produced. And I also hope the race one will be petrol.

The GTbyCitroen in GT5 is the "production" model with the V8 (maybe they will add the Concept from Prologue too, who knows?). By the way, I really love the race version, it looks mean and sexy at the same time.

Anybody else think a black GT by Citreon race car would looks like satan's Batmobile jaked up on steriods? It looks like it would kill you without thinking twice if you angered it.

Dude, what's with you and exclamation points? We have periods for a reason, they don't make you sound like a five year old all the time. I'm not saying what you say sounds like a five year old, it just reads that way.

The X1 looks like it's gonna keep the top laptimers busy for a while (it'll offer a level playing field for the elites) I'm also interested in what Red Bull's involvement could bring in terms of existing racecars (DTM Audis for example) but one thing perplexes me. What on earth does the Engine Block logo in GT Auto mean???? Engine Swap? Engine Service? a look at the engine? Is there anything alluding to it's meaning or was it just put there for me to go crazy. Oh, and looks like PD listened to me :P I guess the Racing MOD will let you change the color, add a wing and put a racing number on. Fear me and my Ruf RGT-R :D

You think RUF would be one reason why Porsche didn't want to be in GT5 for fear of comparison with RUF. :sly:

I doubt anyone but you thinks that. If Porsche had any problems with RUF, they wouldn't let them use their chassis and shells for their cars.

RUF has nothing on porsche. i mean how can u be better then Porsche when u basically take their work, and add stuff to it.

How is that related to what I said?
Think of what you said and if it actually makes sense to you.
So if I buy a DELL computer and add more ram, a better processor, better video card and mod the case, it still won't be better than what I started with?
I'm not saying RUF is better, I'm just saying your logic is messed up.

I don't think so, unless you can tell me which Ford V8s revs to 9,000rpm. I'm pretty sure it's another conceptual engine modelled on the idea of a Japanese Super GT engine, hence the reason it races against Super GT cars when selected in the demo at the TGS.

It's a hydrogen-electric hyrbid in Prologue.

The coyote revs to 7000 in the GT mustang and 7500 in the BOSS. Change the valve springs, shorten the stroke, oil pump upgrade, a few more things here and there and why couldn't it rev to 9000?
All the rumors are saying ford or chevy V8 but I'm guessing it's all just wild guesses anyway.
